I received a set of three Japanese sake bottles for comparison. I tried the "Tamano Hikari" sake from the set. Compared to the previous one I tried, "Akishika," this sake was easier to drink. It had a mild acidity and a slight sweetness. It didn't overpower the taste of the food as much as Akishika did. It was a safe and easy-to-drink sake, although it may not be very memorable. Overall, it was enjoyable and easy to drink.

Tamano Hikari Shuzo in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto produces "Sakura", a junmai ginjo sake with a polishing ratio of 60%. It has an alcohol content of 14%. When poured into a glass, it has a clear appearance and a clean, dry taste with a subtle aroma. I'm not a fan of very dry sake, but this one is slightly dry, with a sake meter value of around +3 to +5. It's not the type of sake to savor the taste and aroma, but rather a sake that enhances the flavor of food, making it a good choice for drinking with meals. I usually enjoy it chilled, but it also tastes good when warmed up. It's a common product at the local supermarket, priced around 400 yen for a 300ml bottle. Considering it's a junmai ginjo sake at this price, the cost performance is quite good.

I came across this sake from Kyoto that was sent to me by a fellow reviewer. I also bought it during a visit to the Kyoto horse racing tour. I saw it at a nearby liquor store and couldn't resist buying it. The label proudly displayed "Best Gold Award in the Warm Sake Contest". I usually prefer drinking sake at room temperature, so I tried it that way first. It had an easy-to-drink taste. When I tried it warm, the flavor definitely became richer and more enjoyable. It seems like this sake is best enjoyed with a meal.

Tamano Hikari Sake Brewery in Fushimi, Kyoto. I don't have much interest in sake, but I decided to participate in the brewery tour since it was a special opportunity. Before the tour, we received a lecture about the sake-making process and learned about Tamano Hikari's dedication to "junmai" sake. At the end of the tour, we had a tasting of freshly pressed sake and even tried some sake kasu. The freshly filtered sake had a sharp taste that even someone like me, who isn't familiar with sake, could clearly distinguish. The sake kasu also had a rich aroma and tasted delicious on its own. They mentioned that "junmai" sake causes less of a hangover, which is good for someone like me who is sensitive to alcohol. As a souvenir, I received a bottle of junmai daiginjo sake and some sake kasu.

Kyoto Fushimi Tamanohikari Sake Brewery (http://www.tamanohikari.co.jp/) is one of my favorite sake breweries, along with Miyasaka Brewing in Suwa, Asahi Brewery in Nagaoka, and Hakkaisan Brewery in Uonuma. I have been loving Tamanohikari Sake Brewery for about 30 years. Among the sake breweries that produce excellent daiginjo, Tamanohikari stands out for releasing reasonably priced daiginjo. One of their products is the Junmai Daiginjo Tamanohikari Bizen Omachi (Omachimai) 100% 720ml for 2,484 yen (tax included). According to the brewery's product introduction, it has a unique soft ginjo aroma characteristic of the mythical Omachi rice, a clear taste harmonizing the natural acidity and richness of rice, a plump body, smooth throat sensation, and a never-tiring taste. It is made from Omachi rice (grown in Okayama Prefecture) with a polishing ratio of 50% and an alcohol content of 16%. It has a slightly dry taste with a soft fruity aroma. It is not a crisp dry taste, but rather a dry taste that allows you to feel the sweetness of rice and sake. It is easy to drink and delicious. Tamanohikari Sake Brewery offers various daiginjo, and this Junmai Daiginjo Tamanohikari Bizen Omachi (Omachimai) 100% in 720ml for 2,484 yen is overwhelmingly affordable compared to daiginjo from other regions, which are often around 5,000 yen. Another product is the Tamanohikari "Junmai Ginjo Natsuki Iwai 100%" 720ml for 1,590 yen. It is a fresh and refreshing Kyoto summer Junmai Ginjo made only with Iwai rice harvested in Kyoto Prefecture. It is a raw sake bottled as it is, capturing a fresh and refreshing taste and aroma. It is perfect for pairing with Kyoto summer vegetables or conger eel. The elegant and cool label also decorates the dining table beautifully. This review is from a blog post. In March of the 25th year, I received a bottle of "Junmai Daiginjo (100% Bizen Omachi rice)" from Tamano Hikari Shuzo as a gift from someone in Kyoto who I had a great deal of help with work. It took me a while to find the right occasion to drink it, but finally in June of this year, when a customer from Tochigi Prefecture visited, we decided to enjoy it together. When we drank it chilled, we were impressed by the unique fruity flavor of the Daiginjo, which spread gently in our mouths, with a hint of acidity, making it very enjoyable. According to the website of Tamano Hikari Shuzo, this sake is made using the elusive Bizen Omachi rice, and I highly recommend it to those who enjoy sake. Thank you for the delicious experience.

Blog ⇒ 【Riding on the Flowing Clouds ♪】 Traveling is so great, isn't it? Seriously, traveling is the best! Traveling might be what life is all about. No, life itself is a journey. There are various encounters such as people, things, and places that enrich our lives. These encounters also help us grow. Eating delicious food from various places has definitely made my stomach grow over the years, although it can be dangerous after turning 50... But if our remaining life is shortening (sweat), we should enjoy encounters even more! ↑ Well, that's not the right way to think! We need to take it easy, right? I know, but I can't help it♪ ↑ I have a laid-back mindset because I'm from the Showa era. Just have a drink or two♪ Before you know it, it's time for another round♪ That's how it goes♪ Yes, the best encounter during a trip is alcohol! There's even a song called "Nihon Zenkoku Sake Nomi Ondo" (National Sake Drinking Song) to prove it (laughs). So, let me introduce the sake I encountered while traveling in Kyoto, from "Tamanohikari Sake Brewery." I have actually tried this sake a few times before, but I had no idea there was such a cute paper pack available. After finding out, I surprisingly started seeing it in familiar places. I had overlooked it before because I didn't pay attention. However, a first contact is essential... This encounter during my trip turned out to be a very good one. This sake is easy to drink, versatile, and goes well with any food or occasion. It would have been perfect if it came with a straw!

When I came to Kyoto, I wanted to buy some sake in Fushimi, so I visited Tamano Hikari Shuzo, my favorite sake brewery in Kyoto. They also sell sake at the front office. I asked the cute staff if they had any unique ones, and they recommended the limited edition Junmai Ginjo freshly pressed raw sake for this season, so I bought two bottles. When I got home and tried it, it was a fruity type with a high alcohol content but easy to drink. I thought it would go well with sashimi or fish snacks. Thank you for the delicious sake! I will visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Every year, on the first day back to work in the new year, it has become a tradition at our company to have a little bit of alcohol like otoso. I, a Hanshin Tigers fan and Hankyu Electric Railway enthusiast, am in charge of the alcohol. The alcohol isn't too strong, but as a food blogger, I decided to go with Tamanohikari Sake Brewery in Fushimi, Kyoto this year. They are a long-established sake brewery founded in 1673. I chose their Junmai Daiginjo Bizen Omachi, which has an alcohol content of 16%. It is a slightly dry and easy-to-drink sake. We toast in the morning with the boss's (president's) announcement! When I tried it, it was refreshing and easy to drink. It's a tradition every year, but drinking alcohol makes work a bit challenging haha. Well, it's like a good luck charm in a way. Let's work hard this year and not let the coronavirus win! It was delicious. Thank you.

I obtained a very impressive Japanese sake called "Shokou" that came in a wooden box. The packaging was quite impressive, with a covered mouth. When I tried it, I found it to have a light and sweet taste, making it easy to drink even for those who don't like sake. It might not be suitable for those who prefer dry sake, but I personally found it delicious.

One of the sake breweries in Kyoto, Tamano Hikari Shuzo. Their sake can be seen in department stores and supermarkets, but at this event, they were selling "hiyaoroshi" which is unique to this season, so I decided to buy it. I chilled it in the refrigerator and had it for a drink in the evening. It was a bit on the dry side, more than my husband's preference. My daughter also tried a bit, but it wasn't as smooth going down as the Fukui's Kokuryu or Hakuryu we had during New Year's. She said, "It's a bit hard to drink." I also tried a sip in a small cup, and it had a distinct sake aroma. Just a little taste was enough for me to give up. Sake preferences vary, so it might be good for those who like dry sake. Thank you for the meal!

The Kyoto Prefecture booth featured Tamano Hikari Daiginjo sake from Tamano Hikari Brewery. It was priced at 300 yen per cup, with about 100ml of sake served. We paired it with Kyoto cuisine, specifically Kujo Negi negiyaki (500 yen). The event opened at 11 am, and after strolling through Ginkaku-ji, we arrived at the venue around 1 pm. Despite the crowd, it was not as packed as the Nikufes at Komazawa Park. We first visited the local Kyoto booth. Unfortunately, the Tamano Hikari Daiginjo was a bit disappointing. It lacked fruity and refreshing flavors, and it didn't have the rich taste expected of a daiginjo. It was unclear what the focus of the sake was. As for the Kujo Negi negiyaki, it was delicious. To be continued.
