I recommend it to those who like yuzu. The yuzu hot pot broth was refreshing and delicious. The dumplings were also tasty, especially the green yuzu dumplings. You can choose between yuzu pepper flavor and either grilled or steamed. The service was average. It's better to make a reservation in advance. The restaurant is always full at night.

Yuzu, yuzu, yuzu... This restaurant is full of yuzu, perfect for yuzu lovers. The yuzu hot pot with sea bream was delicious, but the meat option might have more flavor. I wanted a little more punch in the taste, so I added soy sauce and it turned into ponzu. LOL

On August 3, 2023, at 6:00 PM, I visited Yuzu Moto in Gion Shijo Sentomachi. This is a specialty restaurant recommended by a friend. I found the prices to be quite reasonable compared to other places in Sentomachi. The signature Yuzu dumplings were delicious, with a plate costing 500 yen. I had about three plates as they were easy to eat and very tasty, available in steamed or pan-fried options. The steamed dumplings had a gentle yuzu aroma, while the pan-fried ones had a kick of pepper and spiciness. The Yuzu sake was generous, with a refreshing Yuzu highball and a juicy cloudy Yuzu sake. The interior of the restaurant had a calming atmosphere with wooden decor. I would definitely want to visit again when I'm in Sentomachi. Total cost: 2,960 yen.

I used Tabelog reservation. This place is known for its use of yuzu, so there is a wide variety of dishes featuring yuzu such as yuzu sake and yuzu pickles. However, if you are not a fan of yuzu, it's better to avoid coming here as there are not many dishes that do not use yuzu. The famous yuzu dumplings offer a choice between steamed and fried, which is nice. For hot pot, you can order individual portions with different ingredients even for two people. I had the pork and sea bream hot pot, and even the rice porridge at the end was delicious. I would like to visit again. The only downside is the steep and narrow stairs to the second floor, which can be a little scary, but it's understandable given the location in Kyoto's Pontocho area.

I made a delicious sea bream hot pot with a broth that has a strong yuzu flavor. It was really tasty. I prefer steamed dumplings because I could taste the yuzu more. They have a variety of yuzu-based drinks, so I drank a lot. The service was quick, in my opinion.

We made a reservation and went with 3 friends. We had a tatami room on the second floor! The stairs were a bit steep... Just be aware that there is only one restroom on the first floor, so be careful if you plan on drinking. Additional soup for the hot pot is free. The ordering system was done through a QR code, but it was a bit inconvenient because once you close it after scanning, you can't place another order with the same device. We enjoyed ordering drinks and additional hot pot items within the limit of 3 orders since there were 3 of us. It was a bit disappointing that even when we asked the staff, we couldn't figure out how to display the ordering screen again.

I had a pork and yuzu hot pot. First, the soup was brought out and I could already smell the yuzu! The ingredients included pork, vegetables, and actual pieces of yuzu, which you dip into the yuzu soup. You might think it's too much yuzu, but it was just right. I also had steamed yuzu dumplings. It was fun to compare the yellow and green dumplings. There was also yuzu sake, which was refreshing and easy to drink. I was seated on the second floor. The stairs were steep to climb up without shoes! The second floor had tatami mats, and I sat on the floor. It was a room with three tables. It felt cozy and relaxed, like being at home.

The yuzu hot pot was incredibly delicious. I ordered a yuzu hot pot for two, an extra serving of noodles, and a small order of dumplings. The yuzu hot pot had a spicy kick from the yuzu pepper which added a nice touch. The broth was so tasty, warming both my heart and body. The portions were generous and I left feeling very satisfied. The yuzu dumplings were available steamed or fried, and I chose steamed. The yuzu flavor was infused nicely and they were delicious. I recommend eating them with the hot pot soup. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and lovely. They were playing Showa era songs, which were quite unique and amusing. I will definitely be coming back!

Have you ever tried Yuzu hot pot? The Yuzu hot pot at this restaurant is truly amazing! The soup with the fragrance of Yuzu has a refreshing taste and is very delicious. There are plenty of fresh vegetables and meats available, making it a superb dish. Additionally, the staff are very friendly and quickly accommodated our requests. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also very good, with a sense of cleanliness, and we had a comfortable experience. I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again to enjoy this Yuzu hot pot!

This is a local restaurant in Pontocho where locals from Kyoto used to visit. They serve dishes based on yuzu (Japanese citrus fruit) with pork, chicken, and a variety of vegetables including mizuna. Their yuzu gyoza is also highly recommended for its fragrant aroma. I always recommend this restaurant to friends visiting Kyoto for its good value for money.

I made a reservation to visit during the busy autumn foliage season in Kyoto. The second-floor tatami seating felt a bit cramped, but the wooden interior had a lovely atmosphere. From drinks to hot pot to side dishes, everything was infused with yuzu! I didn't get tired of the yuzu flavor and was able to enjoy it to my heart's content. The yuzu dumplings were delicious and highly recommended! They were cute and impressive in appearance. I will definitely visit again.

I went to a restaurant on Shijo Street and had yuzu gyoza, hot pot, and beef motsu-ni. The atmosphere was nice, located near the Kamo River. The prices were more affordable compared to other nearby restaurants, so I chose this place. The pork and yuzu hot pot cost 2300 yen and came with yuzu-shaped gyoza and pork. The yuzu gyoza was cute and had a subtle yuzu flavor. It was delicious, and I especially liked the cute yuzu gyoza and hot pot.

Yuzu hot pot with plenty of pork and vegetables for 2800 yen. Located a few minutes north of Shijo in Pontocho, this restaurant has a traditional Japanese atmosphere with tatami floors and raised seating areas. The hot pot has a strong sour flavor from the yuzu, complemented by the fresh and crunchy vegetables like leeks, mizuna, and cabbage. It's a great option for couples or casual dining.

I have been here many times. The yuzu flavor in the hot pot broth is really delicious. As the broth reduces while cooking, it becomes more concentrated, but you can ask the staff to add more broth for you. There are also plenty of yuzu drinks, so you won't get bored. I would like to go back when it gets cooler.

I have visited Yuzumoto several times ^ ^ This time, I used it for a year-end party with friends! It is located about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, walking along Pontocho. The interior of the restaurant has a traditional and nostalgic atmosphere typical of Pontocho in Kyoto! It is very popular, so I think reservations are necessary!! I highly recommend it for those who love yuzu! Personally, I didn't like yuzu used in cooking, but when I tried Yuzumoto's yuzu hot pot, I was surprised!!! Yuzu is so delicious! It warms you up and the taste is amazing! I will visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

On a typical day around 7:30 PM, it was sunny with a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. There were several groups of customers already there at the restaurant called "Yellow Yuzu Maru Gyoza." Their vivid yuzu-colored gyoza is small but refreshing with a citrusy flavor. They also offer "Green Yuzu Maru Gyoza," which has a different taste with the spiciness of kujo negi (Japanese leek). This restaurant in Pontocho is known for their yuzu-themed dishes. The first floor has a counter while the second floor has semi-private and private rooms. They specialize in yuzu dishes like yuzu hot pot and yuzu gyoza, and the prices are relatively reasonable. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Tonight, on the final night of the New Year's holiday, we had a hot pot dinner. We started with steamed chicken with scallion sauce, which was delicious! And for the finale, of course, we had rice porridge. The pork and yuzu hot pot broth was so flavorful, it was irresistible (laughs). It was delicious! I am grateful for all the ingredients. By consuming the life force of those ingredients, I felt grateful for the daily sustenance they provide.

I have been using this shop since it opened. I think it is the shop I visit the most. I always order the pork and yuzu hot pot, and add noodles and vegetables. The soda mixed with yuzu is delicious. The first floor has a counter, and the second floor has private rooms and tatami seating. I always ask if they can sell the soup because it's really delicious. It's not good for people who don't like yuzu though. I think the price is cheap at 6000 yen for two people. I can't wait to eat it again! It's also a plus that you can make reservations online. You can also use the Goto Eat coupons.

There are various flavors of hot pot, but I tried one that incorporates the flavor of yuzu for the first time. The menu offers a selection of three hot pot dishes: chicken, pork, and sea bream. It's nice to have a limited selection, following the principle of the "science of choice" where too many options can confuse customers. I initially thought dining alone might be tough since the main dish is hot pot, but the owner's friendly response over the phone reassured me. On the day of my visit, I felt at ease with the expected excellent customer service. The female staff member managing the counter also added a nice touch. I had the chicken yuzu hot pot, starting with draft beer and drool chicken. I also tried the restaurant's specialty yuzu gyoza before moving on to the hot pot. I warmed up from the core with some sake. Thanks for the meal~

It was crowded without a reservation. We sat on the second floor in a small semi-private room with three people. The Chicken Yuzu hot pot was ¥2300 and it was delicious with a refreshing yuzu flavor. The water dumplings were also good. We finished with Zosui, which was also delicious with the yuzu and chicken broth. It's a great place for girls, with good value for money in Pontocho. The location is very Kyoto-like, so I would like to go again.
