Met up with a friend who lives in Kyoto for a tour at a beautiful café with modern square design. We met on Saturday at 7:30 AM, and the atmosphere inside was relaxed with people enjoying their morning. I ordered a hot coffee using mobile order and paid with PayPay for ¥100. It was convenient to just sit at my table, use my phone to order and pay, and then just pick up my coffee. It felt like something out of a Hollywood movie I watched as a kid, now a reality. I didn't even take a photo of the coffee, but it was a nice way to warm up my body after a morning ride. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a McDonald's with a McCafe for the first time. I wanted to experience the authentic coffee and cafe atmosphere, and I was able to do so. I was curious to try various items, but that day I had already drunk too much coffee and my stomach was full, so I ordered a Darjeeling tea (260 yen) and a raspberry macaron (150 yen). The prices on the menu were about 100 yen more than McDonald's regular items. It gave me the impression that it was cheaper than Starbucks. I wanted to try an espresso to taste it, but the staff with me said it was quite good. The Darjeeling tea was indeed delicious, and the macarons, which I could choose from three flavors, were also very tasty. The store had both a regular McDonald's and a McCafe with a dedicated barista. *McCafe's menu can only be ordered inside the store, not through the drive-thru.

I got the Hazelnut Oreo McFlurry and Spicy Chicken Bites to go. The Hazelnut Oreo McFlurry has soft serve with hazelnut sauce and Oreo cookies mixed in. The sweet and nutty flavor of the hazelnut sauce pairs well with the crunchy Oreo cookies, creating a nice contrast with the smooth soft serve. The Spicy Chicken Bites with Red Pepper seasoning have a crispy outer coating and a generous portion of chicken inside. The Red Pepper seasoning adds a spicy kick, making your mouth feel hot.
