When you think of "SUGITORA," the sablé shaped like a tiger is famous, but the visual is not quite there, so I purchased the above item. It requires refrigeration, and it consists of hazelnut praline sandwiched between vanilla and chocolate sablé. It's a delicious item that I believe no one would dislike. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the first floor of Kyoto Tower. I wanted to buy butter sand but it was too hot to carry it home so I gave up. I got normal sablé instead. It was delicious so I want to buy butter sand in colder weather.
- Sablé Vanille: 450 yen. Comes with 1 Tiger-shaped sablé and 4 round sablés. The Tiger-shaped one is hard and has a crunchy texture. Surprisingly, the round sablés are not as hard and have a crispy texture. It's my favorite texture and has a good balance of moistness, very delicious. The vanilla flavor is nicely sweet.
- Sablé Chocolat: 450 yen. Same texture as the Vanille. Has a delicious bitter chocolate flavor.
- Sablé Matcha: 450 yen. Among the three I bought, this one had a lighter impression. The matcha flavor was subtle.

Popular gelato shop in Kyoto, Kyoto Station [Gelato specialty store SUGiTORA]. SUGITORA Tower Sandwich Can ¥3780. Suble Matcha, Suble Brown Sugar, Suble Hojicha, Matcha Bourdon, Florentine, Chocolate Caramel Sansho Sandwich, Vanilla Suble, Matcha Meringue, Jumping Tiger. Speculos (Smiling Tiger) ¥486. Florentine (Growling Tiger) ¥540. Hojicha Suble (Crying Tiger) ¥486. Kyoto Tower Sand Shop Limited Cookie Can. The tiger cookies on top are cute! The cookies are crispy and delicious, not too sweet, with a rich buttery flavor. The cookie can is cute and delicious, but the mini box with tiger face cookies is also recommended! The cute tigers crying or smiling are too cute to eat! A perfect gift or souvenir. The Kyoto Station Tower Sand Shop is located right by Kyoto Station, making it easy to access.

In my generation, when we said "Sugitora," we used to think of a fruit shop, but now it's a popular gelato store... or so I thought. Turns out, the store at Kyoto Tower Sand specializes in baked goods. I'm completely out of touch with the times, but I decided to buy a butter sandwich. The kind lady at the store kindly added two ice packs for the hour-long journey home. Without looking closely, I assumed there were two flavors, "vanilla" and "chocolate," in the sandwich, so I bought what I thought was a "Vanilla Chocola" sandwich. However, it turned out to be a sandwich with vanilla cookie, chocolate cookie, and hazelnut butter cream. It wasn't what I expected, but the combination of flavors was surprisingly delicious, so it all worked out in the end.

After enjoying lunch and some desserts, my stomach was completely satisfied. Due to the bad weather outside, I decided to move to a place where I could enjoy without needing an umbrella, so I headed to the Kyoto Tower Sand Shop. Recently renovated, it seemed like there had been changes in the sweets shop selection, so I came to buy some souvenirs. First, I went to SUGiTORA, which I was curious about thanks to MyRebi's review. This is the third store, with the main store in Teramachi, and I have had a parfait at the Ichijoji Patisserie Lab before. However, it seems that the Ichijoji Patisserie Lab is currently closed due to a shortage of staff, as they are producing all the baked goods for all stores and are doing well in sales. The Tower Sand Shop is quite spacious, with a display that is very attractive and stands out compared to other stores. We decided to try the "Smiling Tiger Sable" that we had checked in advance. There are several flavor variations of the Smiling Tiger Sable, but I chose the plain and matcha ones. They come in a sturdy plastic container, making them easy to carry around. Both sablés are crispy and have a light, melting texture in the mouth. The plain one tastes slightly sweeter, probably because the matcha one brings out the flavor. The cute tiger shape is impressive, but unfortunately, only the top piece is in that shape, the rest are round sablés. There are 5 small sablés in one package (about 5cm each) for around 500 yen. The price is quite high, but it's a delightful treat to have. However, if given as a gift, the recipient may not realize the price value without knowing. Thank you for the meal!

On April 22nd, I visited SUGiTORA, a popular gelato shop known for their authentic gelato, at the newly opened Kyoto Tower Sand store. The store, located near the entrance of Kyoto Tower's 1st floor, was quite crowded. At this store, they mainly sell butter sandwiches handmade by a pastry chef. The butter sandwiches come in three flavors - Butter Sand Vanilla Chocolat, Butter Sand Matcha Azuki, and Butter Sand Houjicha Black Sugar. You can purchase a tube containing four pieces for 999 yen. These butter sandwiches are exclusive to the Kyoto Tower Sand store. They also had a product called "Butter Sand Can" packed in a can, which would make a great souvenir. You can also try samples, which are served chilled, allowing for a delightful mouthfeel. I bought a tube of Butter Sand Vanilla Chocolat to take home. The sandwich consists of sablé vanilla and sablé chocolat, with hazelnut buttercream sandwiched in between. The sablé crust is crispy yet soft, and you can enjoy the rich flavor of hazelnut cream. The crispy texture was irresistible, and I couldn't help but finish it in one go. Overall, I felt that this product would be appreciated as a small gift.
