A favorite yakiniku restaurant that I would love to visit regularly if it were closer to home. However, it is quite far from my house... in Kyoto, Kyoto Tanabe. I had a busy schedule with a long distance drive the day before (Kanagawa to Kyoto) and helping with a move. So, I decided to boost my energy by eating yakiniku at this restaurant that I had researched and made a reservation for in advance. Lately, I haven't come across a yakiniku restaurant that I want to revisit... There are many famous yakiniku restaurants near my company in Tokyo, and they are all stylish and serve delicious meat, but they are also quite expensive. The atmosphere is somewhat uncomfortable. Besides, I don't feel like eating yakiniku in a suit after work... There are also restaurants near my home that my family likes, but they don't quite appeal to me... However, this yakiniku restaurant was a hit for me after a long time. The items we ordered are shown in the photos. We ate to our hearts' content with three people, and I drank (only me)... the total bill was 17,500 yen. (When we visited at 7 pm, the restaurant was full. I had dinner at Ichioshi, a yakiniku restaurant in Shintanabe. Every choice of meat is a winner here. The thick cuts of premium tongue and premium skirt are very satisfying. We enjoy the meat with salt seasoning, occasionally dipping it in sauce for a change of flavor. The salad dressing is also a favorite. However, when we tried to grill our favorite aburi yukke, the meat ended up tasting unpleasant due to the gas stove's oily smell. Despite this, we will still visit this yakiniku restaurant again.

On this day, I ordered the Hormone Mix for 450 yen, and premium thick-cut tongue for 2300 yen among other items. The restaurant offers a variety of sauces, including the basic yakiniku sauce, miso sauce, plum salt, and more. Personally, I found the plum salt to be delicious with the meats, while I used miso sauce for the hormone mix. The premium thick-cut tongue was thick yet easy to eat with a pleasant texture. The premium loin was generously served and had a wonderful balance of fat, tenderness, and juiciness. The Hormone Mix mainly consisted of intestine, techan, and thin slices. Intestine and thin slices had a rich amount of fat compared to other meats, and they melted in the mouth with a satisfying flavor. Overall, I found the restaurant to be reasonably priced during lunchtime with high-quality meat, and I would like to revisit in the future.

In Kyotanabe, there is a famous yakiniku restaurant. Despite its reasonable prices, the quality of the food is very high. Honestly, it is the most popular yakiniku restaurant in the area. I used to work at a yakiniku restaurant near Kyotanabe Station, and compared to other nearby restaurants, the quality of the dishes and meat is exceptional. By the way, the restaurant I worked at closed down. It's no surprise, as it was a low-quality restaurant that closed down due to the impact of the coronavirus. This restaurant, which has survived the pandemic, is truly a delicious place. With such a high reputation, the quality is no joke.

I visited Ichiyoshi for lunch. The restaurant quickly became full soon after I arrived. The quality of the meat was amazing. The sirloin and tongue were delicious. I visited this restaurant for lunch based on its rating of 3.5 on Tabelog. I ordered the loin lunch and the lean meat lunch, each priced at 1500 yen, and chose strawberry ice cream for dessert. The restaurant was bustling with young people, likely students from Doshisha University, as it is a connecting station with Nipponbashi. I wanted to try a matcha dessert typical of Kyoto-tanabe, but my companion wanted to eat meat, so we ended up here. The ventilation was good, and we were able to sit at a spacious table, which was nice. The portion size satisfied my meat-loving companion. There were various sauces available, but I think I liked the light plum salt seasoning the best.

I called a popular restaurant on a Sunday night on a whim and surprisingly got a reservation. I ordered the premium assorted grilled meat, opting for half salt and half sauce but was told it wasn't possible. The meat was delicious despite the price. I also tried the Chateaubriand for the first time and it was tender and tasty. However, I later noticed on the receipt that they charged me for the grill net replacement twice, which was a first for me at a BBQ restaurant.

The child started getting sleepy, so we ate quickly and left. It's 6:10 pm and we're pressed for time. We want to come back for a leisurely meal next time. My mother said the roast beef was delicious. Today's thick-cut meat was tough. The shrimp comes with the head on. The stew was generous. The B set was decent. The grilled squid was unnecessary.

It's delicious, but the mixed grilled meat platter (4800 yen) isn't that much and contains some really tough meat. The extra-large rice portion (500 yen) used to be like something out of a fairy tale, but now it's just a regular large portion. It's just plain rice, so calling it extra-large for 500 yen is a bit much. So, for families with growing kids, the cost performance might not be great. The previous version was tastier and had more quantity! Also, the lemon chu-hi tastes like artificial sweetener, too sweet to drink! The part-time staff are cheerful and smiling, but the manager never smiles. It would be nice if they could at least say "thank you" with a smile when you leave!

We made a reservation and visited with a friend at 5:30 in the evening. Despite it being the end of the year, the restaurant was packed, and even after we finished our meal, there were several groups of people waiting outside. The meat, as many reviews mentioned, was of high quality and very delicious, and we kept ordering more shochu. The owner's family is a bit of a local celebrity, and we had a great time chatting about old stories with them. It's definitely a famous restaurant in Tanabe, and I plan to visit again.

This restaurant is not suitable for those with infants or young children. They do not have child seats or children's tableware. It is not possible to eat while in a stroller, so it can be quite difficult unless the child is big enough to comfortably eat meat and sit in a regular chair. It is recommended for children around kindergarten age. The meat was clean, tender, and delicious. The sauce was average. The plum wine was a nice palate cleanser and delicious. Personally, I found the meat a bit greasy, but my companion thought it was not too fatty, so it may be a matter of preference. The restaurant was crowded, but if there were no customers waiting, I don't think a time limit is necessary. I would have liked the staff to speak a bit louder, as it was hard to hear during busy times. On my first visit, I ordered salad, a meat platter, rice, additional meat, and drinks, which came to just over 12,000 yen. For now, I probably won't come back until my child is older. Disappointing.
