Takoyaki 10 pieces: 300 yen: 3.3 stars
The surface was crispy and the inside was soft and quite delicious. The takoyaki was a bit small, but for 10 pieces for 300 yen, it's worth it. By the way, 5 pieces cost 200 yen. There are benches outside, but we ate in the car. The shop is in the same building as Don Quijote, so when my son and I were in the parking lot, we were questioned by a police officer. They asked about our occupation and relationship, but didn't ask for our driver's licenses when we answered. This happened around 1:30 am.

I went shopping at Don Quijote and bought takoyaki as a snack for the evening. I ordered 20 pieces for 500 yen. They quickly put 20 pieces in a container and handed it to me. Then, at the counter, there were various sauces like sweet sauce, spicy sauce, mayonnaise, and mustard mayonnaise, as well as bonito flakes. You can freely add these sauces and toppings to create your own takoyaki. When I got home, I forgot where I put each sauce, but I enjoyed eating them. The takoyaki didn't have a special feeling, but it was simply delicious.

I went shopping and ended up at this Don Quijote store. It's been a while since I last came here (laughs). Oh, they have takoyaki here! I asked for 10 pieces and was told to wait a bit because they were almost ready. It was just good timing that I got to eat them fresh. I paid for them, and the staff placed the takoyaki in a case and then went to the back of the store (laughs). At first, I was like, huh?! But then I realized it's a self-service system where you can season them however you like. There were so many sauce options – 4 types of sauce, including sweet, spicy, tasty, and nostalgic sauce (laughs). There were also 2 types of mayo, soy sauce, ponzu, curry sauce, and more. You could also sprinkle bonito flakes and seaweed however you like. They even provided bags and rubber bands for takeout (laughs). It was fun to customize my takoyaki with all those seasonings. I tried the nostalgic sauce with mustard mayo, bonito flakes, and seaweed – it was delicious. The takoyaki was soft inside and crispy outside, with a decent dashi flavor. I also tried ponzu and curry sauce, experimenting with different flavors. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience. Thank you for the meal!

When I went shopping at Don Quijote, I found that they sell takoyaki even at night, and it's so cheap that I couldn't resist buying some. The takoyaki is like a snack for me. There's always a friendly uncle running the shop energetically, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The takoyaki here is a bit small, but it's full of flavor with a real Kansai taste. The best part is that you can add your own sauce, with about 4 different options available. I like to mix delicious sauce with spicy sauce. They also have regular mayo and karashi mayo, so I always go for the karashi mayo. It's so tasty even when it's cold, so I always end up buying more than I planned and eating it all anyway.

On the way to the Meishin Expressway Minami Interchange, there is a Don Quijote store. It used to be a pachinko parlor a long time ago, and the parking lot is very small. The takoyaki stand is on the left side of the entrance. It's common to order there and then go shopping at Don Quijote. In the summer, they also have shaved ice, which makes it a popular stop. On this day, my husband made the choice. We got 20 pieces for 400 yen. Each person can add their own toppings, and my husband went for the classic sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes (he doesn't like seaweed). He kept it simple, which is typical of him. Nowadays, takoyaki often comes in large sizes, but here they stick to the traditional small ones. The flavor of the batter is simple but tasty, and they are easy to eat with a toothpick. We enjoyed them in the car while they were still hot. It was a delicious meal.
