A stylish and fashionable hotel located a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station is recommended for long-term stays. I stayed in the newly opened suite building with a lounge. For breakfast, I had a 500 yen bagel sandwich at the counter next to the lobby. I chose the "Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel" with a hot coffee. It was my first time trying a bagel, and it was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The combination of smoked salmon, cream cheese, and sunny lettuce was delicious, and I enjoyed it slowly. Even just one bagel was satisfying enough. You can also take it back to your room. Hot coffee is also available for just 100 yen per cup, so there's no need to go to the convenience store. I also visited the bar at night, and this hotel is very reasonable in terms of room rates and everything else. The front desk staff are available 24 hours, so the shared spaces are safe and secure.

Kyoto Station is about a 5-minute walk away. When you enter the entrance, the lobby is filled with dried flowers and stylish music is playing. The wall is lined with neatly lit books, almost 2500 books related to Kyoto. You can read them or buy them. Enjoy a morning meal while looking down at the wall of books. Choose one type of bagel and a drink for 500 yen. The surface is crispy, the inside is soft, with plenty of sweet salmon and cream cheese. The light dough is perfect for the morning. At night, a craft gin bar appears. You can choose a tasting set of 3 craft gins for 1000 yen. Choose one type of tonic water and 3 types of garnish, and make your own drink. It's fun! I chose gins from Canada, Kyoto, and Hokkaido, tonic water #4, and lime, ginger, and grapefruit. Each combination has its own unique taste and is delicious. Craft gins are trendy and good. Both breakfast and the bar are limited to hotel guests, so I will recommend this place to my friends looking for a hotel in Kyoto. (And have breakfast together and drink at night).

I stayed at a lifestyle hotel that opened recently, located just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station along Shichijo Street. The lobby floor is lined with so many books all the way down to the basement, where you can browse 24 hours a day. There are over 2500 books available, mostly related to Kyoto, including manga, novels, and magazines. If you find a book you like, you can also purchase it. In the evening, short films are screened on a 200-inch screen on this grand staircase, with four films shown daily. At the bar on the first floor, you can try craft gin tastings. There are 24 unique craft gins from all over Japan and the world waiting for you. Even if you're not familiar with gin, the staff will explain the botanicals and characteristics to you. For the tasting, you choose three gins, one tonic water, and three garnishes. I tried "Generous Gin" from France, "Blue Hour" from Canada, and "Kino-Bi" from Kyoto. Each had its own distinct flavor profile. The next morning, I enjoyed a bagel and coffee for 500 yen. They make it fresh for you, with options like salami and mozzarella or smoked salmon and cream cheese. It was a relaxing and exciting time to think about what to do today while nibbling on the fragrant bagel. The room itself is compact, so it's fun to use the books, short films, and bar on the grand staircase as needed. The hotel has a shared kitchen space and laundry facilities in the basement, making it suitable for long-term stays.

Before the tour, I went on a one-night trip to Kyoto. It was a bit early for the autumn foliage season, but I was very satisfied with the unique and stylish hotel where I stayed. The hotel had a long row of bookshelves filled with books all related to "Kyoto." In the evening, they screened four short movies, and I ordered a Gin tasting set at the hotel's bar. I relaxed and enjoyed watching the movies while trying out three recommended types of Gin: 1. on the rocks, 2. with soda, 3. with garnish. The drinks were delicious, even though I'm not a big drinker. The breakfast bagel was also stylish, crispy, and delicious, enjoyed in a trendy space surrounded by books, stimulating all my senses. It felt like I could create good work there. A for-Real vocalist Shoji Mizuki TUNESTAY KYOTO.

During my stay in Kyoto this time, I stayed at a very lovely hotel. "TUNE STAY KYOTO," located about 5 minutes from Kyoto Station, is like a "stayable bookstore." They have over 2500 books related to Kyoto! You can freely read them 24 hours a day, and you can even purchase them. It's a hotel that book lovers can't resist. From classic books that you'll definitely find something you want to read to more niche selections, the variety is so enjoyable! Additionally, although the rooms are compact, the shared spaces are very well-equipped. At night, the grand staircase transforms into a theater where you can enjoy short films! Each film is about 15 minutes long, so it's easy to watch. The bar on site offers a variety of craft gins from all over the country, allowing you to compare and create your own original cocktails. The hotel also has a shared public kitchen, laundry facilities, and a reservation-based bath, making it a cozy hotel suitable for long stays. The breakfast bagel (with a drink for 500 yen!) was also delicious.

A large bookshelf leading to the underground is located in a hotel on the north side of Kyoto Station, within walking distance. This hotel has a bar that specializes in craft gin, and they have a wide variety of options available. The bar counter is right in front of the hotel entrance, but due to COVID-19, it can only accommodate up to 3 people with partitions in place. However, there is a spacious lounge area where you can relax and enjoy your drinks. I ordered a set of 3 different craft gins to compare, choosing from 24 options, along with 6 types of tonic water and 3 choices of garnish. I let the staff choose the gins for me based on their appearance and taste. The gins I tried were: Kino no Bi Haskap Gin, Sakurao Botanical Gin, and Empress 1908 Butterfly Pea Gin. The tonic water I chose was Q Tonic Water, which had a gentle sweetness. For garnish, I selected cucumber, dried orange, and pink pepper. The presentation was stunning, with the bottles lined up and a description of each gin below. I first tasted the gins neat, then added tonic water and garnish. My favorite combination was the sweet tonic water with a hint of spiciness from the pink pepper. At only 1,000 yen including tax, this experience was definitely worth it! Additionally, this hotel allows outside food and drinks in the lounge, so we brought a Shine Muscat cake to enjoy with our gin. They also make stylish cocktails if you prefer something other than gin. I would love to visit this lovely bar again the next time I'm in Kyoto. Thank you for a wonderful experience! ✨

During my stay at TUNE STAY KYOTO, a lifestyle hotel filled with books, I had the chance to visit their craft gin bar. They have a collection of 24 gins from overseas and domestic sources! I enjoyed trying different tonics and garnishes made with agave. The Le Gin de Christian Drouin from France, made with 30 different types of apples, paired perfectly with cinnamon and was delicious.

I was fortunate to stay in Kyoto. I love Kyoto ❤️ The autumn leaves are starting to change color. It is very convenient as it is close to the station. It is very stylish and perfect for photos. The craft gin tasting set allows you to choose from three gins while chatting with the bartender. It was fun from the beginning. Then you can enjoy the taste with soda water and add garnish for a different flavor. I was satisfied because I could drink slowly ❤️ For breakfast, you can choose from three types of bagels. I want to visit again. Next time, I want to come with my family ❤️
