This is a craft beer shop located in the Porta underground of Kyoto Station. They have a wide variety of beers available. I stopped by while waiting for my train since it's close to the station. This time, I tried the Koshihikari Lager and smoked edamame. The Koshihikari Lager was a light and easy-to-drink beer with no strong aftertaste, making it suitable for everyone. The smoked edamame was incredibly delicious, with a nice smoky flavor that pairs well with drinks. The service from the staff was also excellent.

Craft beer market at Kyoto Station Porta. There are about 30 taps lined up in front of the counter! What I had: Oyama G Beer x molto! Glass: 280ml 600 yen. A beer that allows you to enjoy a refreshing bitterness. I paired it with freshly fried karaage (*^^*) Open from 11:00. If you want to drink craft beer in front of Kyoto Station, be sure to check it out♪

We were planning to have lunch at Yamamoto Manbo in Kyoto, but due to the intense heat, we ended up going to Porta underground. There was a craft beer shop that had opened up, so we decided to give it a try. Besides our favorite Two Rabbits beer, we were able to enjoy several other types of beer. If we ever find ourselves at Kyoto Station again, we might just drop by again.

This time, I visited Craft Beer Market Kyoto Porta located at 902 Higashi-shiokoji-cho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto Station Underground Mall Porta. I had some time to spare, so I decided to explore the food and drink options in the underground area. I found a perfect place where I could enjoy a drink. It was lunchtime, so they also offered lunch sets with pizza and pasta, but you could also order individual items. I chose a 3-beer tasting set for 1600 yen (each 150ml) which included Brown Ale 5.0% (Kyoto), New Worlds 6.0% (Hyogo), and Oyama Weizen 5.0% (Tottori). For snacks, I ordered Gokubuto sausage for 990 yen, Fresh Basil Potato Salad for 550 yen, and mixed nuts. The sausage was big and had a good texture, very satisfying. The basil potato salad had a strong basil flavor which was nice. I decided to try another beer tasting set with Gotemba Schwarzbier 5.0% (Shizuoka), The Local Pine Ts Sencha 4.5% (Tokyo), and Unwise 7.0% (Hyogo). Overall, I preferred New Worlds. It was a fun and enjoyable experience. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time at Kyoto Station, so I decided to wander around Porta and stumbled upon a craft beer market. It was full, but I didn't have to wait long before being seated at the counter. There were a variety of craft beers on tap, which got me excited. I decided to try the Coffee Ale. I was expecting a dark stout-like beer, but what was served to me was a slightly cloudy amber ale. It had a subtle sweet coffee aroma and a smooth, mellow flavor. It was a delightful experience of craft beer. Thank you for the meal!

I went to the store at Lucua in Osaka Station on a Monday before 8 o'clock. I had heard that the store was renovated when Porta was renewed, so I wanted to visit it once. The store was almost full, but luckily there was one seat available at the back counter. There were over 20 types of beer on tap, so I was unsure which one to choose. I ordered two different ones in a glass. The Gotemba was a Weizen, light and elegant. The Jyohana was an IPA, with a strong hop flavor and delicious. About 70-80% of the customers were foreigners, creating a lively atmosphere. It felt like overseas tourists were returning with the wave of the weak yen. The price of ¥900 for 1 pint is cheap. It would be nice if there was no cover charge for standing drinking.

Gotenba Weizen was delicious. The restaurant was very lively, so it seems like the staff couldn't hear whether you were there or not? It's best to guide inexperienced staff in the back yard. I started to feel uncomfortable and left early. What a shame!

I used this place in the underground mall at Kyoto Station for a daytime drink. The interior has counter seats and table seats. The food menu is average, but there are many craft beers available with a variety of taps on the wall. I tried the nekopanchi from VECTOR BREWING. It's a pale ale with a citrusy flavor that I quite liked. I also had some pizza and pasta for lunch, which came with soup. The portions were not that big though. I also had a refill of the Yamaguchi Jibiir IPA, which had a heavy hoppy flavor that paired well with the rich dishes. Overall, it was a good experience. The charm of this place is its convenient location near Kyoto Station where you can enjoy craft beer at a relatively affordable price. It's a great spot for a quick drink, especially during the summer for hydration.

I had to resist having beer at lunch, so I was really craving beer! I felt so thirsty... so I headed to the Craft Beer Market. The place looks beautiful with lots of different shops, it was fun! I was seated at a corner of the counter and was told that the food menu changes after 5 pm. I wanted to try the "Spinach and Oyster Ajillo," but it's only available after 5 pm, so I ordered my first drink for now. The appetizer (300 yen) was lotus root arrabbiata. It's a unique combination of spicy tomato sauce and lotus root. I started with a pint of Kyoto Brewing's "Shukyu 6 Days" (880 yen). It's an IPA with a balanced flavor of malt, hops, and citrus, very easy to drink with a slightly low alcohol content of 4.5%. Next, I had a glass of Jouhana Beer (Toyama) Earl Grey (550 yen). It tastes exactly like Earl Grey tea, with some sweetness. I ordered a half portion of the Italian appetizer platter (1690 yen) since I was alone. It included Caponata, Spanish omelette, olive marinade, salmon marinade, small horse mackerel escabeche, and chicken ham. The portion for one person was 1090 yen, a bit pricey but appreciated. Everything was delicious with plenty of vegetables, but the sweet Earl Grey didn't quite match. So, I quickly finished my third drink. It was Baird Beer (Shizuoka) Imperial IPA in a glass (550 yen). It had a slightly darker golden color, strong hop flavor with a hint of citrus, and a balanced taste with richness. I enjoyed drinking slowly from around 4:40 pm on Friday until after 6 pm. There were quite a few foreigners, which was nice. When my glass was empty, they immediately asked if I wanted a refill, so I could enjoy my beer smoothly without raising my voice. The total was 3370 yen... a good feeling (*´ー`*)

Before taking the Shinkansen, I decided to try a different restaurant and ended up at Porta Dining. I found Yamaguchi local beer on the menu! As a prefectural resident, I had to try it! I ordered two types of Yamaguchi local beer, Baird beer, fried chicken, and salmon mousse for 3,210 yen. Local beers these days are really delicious, aren't they? Especially the Yamaguchi local beer stout had a roasted aroma and was incredibly tasty! Thank you for the meal!

Craft Beer Market in Kyoto, located in the Porta underground shopping area of Kyoto Station. I have been to their stores in Tokyo and Osaka before, so I was surprised to see one in Kyoto. The menu is similar to the one in Osaka. In Tokyo, each store has a completely different menu, so I think the concept is slightly different. I started with a Coedo Marihana. The appetizer was lotus root simmered in tomato and cheese. It's cold outside, but the underground area is warm, making the cold beer taste even better. I realized that draft Marihana is different from the canned version, with a different aroma and foam. For my second drink, I had the Shimabara Stout, with a smoky taste typical of dark beers. I paired it with grilled camembert, which was not only grilled but also coated with water candy, resulting in a sweet and salty finish. I thought it would go well with wine, but it was just right for a quick bite. Enjoyed the meal.

In Kyoto Station underground, there is a casual and welcoming shop with a wide variety of craft beers, making it a great place for beer lovers. The Margherita pizza was delicious and paired well with the beer! The cheese platter was also very tasty. I would definitely want to stop by this place again.

I visited this restaurant in the dining area of Kyoto Station's Porta that has been renovated. They offer a variety of beers to choose from! I tried a beer flight with Lager, Ale, and White beers. I also enjoyed some snacks and finished with a pint of Chicago's Goose Island beer. Now, I just need to catch the Shinkansen and go to sleep!

I visited around 6 o'clock on a weekday. Perhaps because it was the beginning of the week or the time, the restaurant was not crowded. As a beer lover, I was thrilled to find a place in Kyoto Station where I could enjoy 30 different types of craft beer on tap. I only planned to have one glass that day, but I look forward to trying more next time. The atmosphere of the restaurant seems welcoming for solo diners. I definitely want to go back again.

This is a newly opened craft beer shop in the dining area of Kyoto Porta. A shop with several locations in Tokyo has made its first entry into Kyoto. I ordered craft beer, pizza, and some appetizers. They have a wide variety of craft beers available, including Tokyo craft beers like TY Harbor. I believe they have the largest number of beers on tap in Kyoto. The price is quite reasonable at 800 yen for a pint. The food is well-prepared to go well with the beer. The pizza, which I didn't expect much from, had a solid crust and was delicious. The appetizers were also delicious and paired well with the beer. The portions are generous for the price, making it a good value for money. It's a great place to enjoy a variety of beers, and I highly recommend it to beer lovers.

I have 50 minutes until my Shinkansen departure time. I want to be through the ticket gate 20 minutes before, so I wandered around Kyoto Station underground looking for a place to have a quick drink. I stumbled upon a beer bar at the end of Porta with a wide selection of craft beers. After much deliberation, I chose the "Beerlen Brewery Centennial Lager" from Iwate. It was easy to drink with a nice balance of richness and crispness, rather than bitterness. The appetizer was a tangy pumpkin stew. I was surprised by the combination of tangy flavor with sweet pumpkin, but it was surprisingly delicious. I left the bar as planned after 20 minutes. I had a pleasant time before my Shinkansen arrived. I must go back again! *The location might be a bit hard to find. It is only listed as Kyoto Porta underground on food review websites and the official website, so it may be difficult to pinpoint exactly where it is located.

In June in Kyoto. I arrived in the evening and Kyoto Station is "hot", isn't it? At times like this, it's time for a beer (^o^)丿 This is CRAFT BEER MARKET Kyoto Porta store. The store is located in the underground shopping area "Porta" on the north side of Kyoto Station. Looking from the outside, the store is about 70% full and has a bright and nice atmosphere. As a solo customer, I sat at the counter. Looking at the menu, there is a wide variety with 30 taps available. ★ Minoh Beer Saru IPA Osaka @880/pint. Yeah, it's delicious. It has a refreshing bitterness, a good aroma, and a tough and tasty finish. ★ Otoshi @300 yen. For alcohol orders after 3 pm and for all customers after 5 pm, on this day it was "pumpkin oil marinated". It's decent, but the 300 yen otoshi is a bit questionable. ★ Ise Kadoya Beer XPA Mie Prefecture @550/glass. It has a slightly fruity flavor, a light bitterness, and a rich taste of sweetness. This one is also good. [Closing] It's convenient from Kyoto Station and good for a quick drink. However, the otoshi charge is a bit of a concern, which may be a reason for the evaluation not to be higher. Thank you for the meal (^o^)丿

I came for a quick drink, but ended up having two. As a fan of hoppy aroma and strong bitterness in IPAs, I can't resist a place like this. I can't bring myself to order food here, because I want to try different beers instead. It's great that they have almost 30 types of beer available.

I visited this restaurant for the first time. From outside, I always saw people enjoying beer, which made me want to try it. I was seated at the counter and ordered today's lunch pasta (with free extra serving). The extra large pasta cost 990 yen. It arrived after a while, but the portion wasn't that big. The taste was average. Ah, I see! This restaurant mainly focuses on beer, so the main dishes are meant to be enjoyed with alcohol. My wife had the chicken steak for 1190 yen. Next time, I want to visit at night and try their craft beer, as they had a wide variety available.
