I visited this café after a long time. It is a quiet place. I sat down and ordered an iced café au lait. The sweetness level was just right! The blend coffee was smooth with a subtle bitterness. The building had a warehouse-like feel with paintings and books, showing a subtle sense of style. I felt like staying for a long time. Maybe the cherry blossom season is the best time to visit.

Walking along the Sosui River, I came across a café with a traditional Japanese building. Inside, there were counter seats and table seats with wooden tables and chairs. An elderly couple seemed to be running the place. The music playing in the background had a transparent and church-like quality, complemented by the soothing sound of the river outside. I decided to try the chamomile tea, served in a warm ceramic cup for 500 yen. It was delicious, with a smooth and comforting taste. I also tried the fig chiffon cake for 350 yen, which had a nice texture from being soaked in liqueur. My son had the sweet potato cheesecake, which was smooth and tasted like sweet potato. After the café, I visited Ginkaku-ji, which was crowded with tourists, including school groups and foreigners. It was interesting to see some of them being guided by taxi drivers. It was a busy but enjoyable day.

After visiting the Lunch Kitchen Gorilla, I couldn't just go straight home in my coin parking car, I had to change my mood at a nice cafe for sure!! I frantically searched on my phone. Oh no, at that moment, the shadow of A once again appeared before Kuriro... It was decided. I immediately went to visit. Along the river where the Biwako Canal flows, there was a lovely cafe that blended into the cool scenery. Cherry blossom trees line the canal, waiting for the season. I entered the cafe, with the counter on the left and stairs leading to the second floor on the side, and table seats on the right. The interior was very woody and nicely arranged. I was greeted by the kind owner, who asked if I came to see the gallery. I explained that I came for coffee but would like to see the second floor as well. The owner kindly showed me around the gallery, where a young female ceramic artist was having an exhibition. After that, I went back downstairs and ordered a Blend Coffee Rich (a well-balanced, mellow flavor) for 500 yen. I relaxed in the flowing time and the wonderful woody space, feeling really cozy. An elderly couple was leisurely spending time in such a lovely cafe. I chatted with them a bit and mentioned how the cherry blossoms were waiting for the season. The lady sadly told me that some cherry blossoms had to be cut down due to illness, which made them really sad. We ended our conversation on a positive note, promising to visit again during cherry blossom season. The couple smiled warmly in return. Thank you for the meal.

This is a quiet shop located along a riverbank. You can relax here without being influenced by anything else. It almost feels like you can hear the sound of the river flowing deeply. It's no wonder that reviewers are giving high praise. The shop is run by an elderly couple, and it's truly enviable that they can work in such a wonderful space. The shop's design and furnishings show good taste in every corner. I visited at the end of March, and I believe this is a place where you can enjoy the best of each season, whether it's winter or summer. The Blend Coffee (Rich) for ¥500 is said to be the most balanced among the three blends available, easy to drink and suitable for everyone. The Sweet Potato Rare Cake for ¥350 is a small size that you can enjoy in one go, like an elegant sweet potato. As mentioned by others, the wooden chairs are a bit hard to sit on. It may be part of the "flavor," but I personally think they could be a bit softer.

I want to be absent-minded without thinking about anything. At times like that, this shop might be good. I had been there once before, but the parking lot in front of the store was full, so I gave up and went home. However, on this day, there was not a single car parked there, so I parked without hesitation (front parking). Inside the store, there were only two seats at the counter and a table seat by the window where you could see outside. There was a slightly soft music playing. If I could drink coffee, that would be nice, but I enjoyed an iced milk tea (650 yen) and wild egg pudding (400 yen). As two people left halfway through, I had the space all to myself and enjoyed the milk tea and pudding. The iced milk tea, as usual, was sweet with a lot of syrup! It was just right for me, not too sweet. The wild egg pudding had a rich taste with the sweetness slightly subdued. The portion was not too large, so it was more like a side dish for coffee or tea. The layout, such as how the coffee cups were placed, was simple and showed a sense of style. The second floor seemed to be a gallery, as there were flyers and postcards placed on the counter seats. Sitting by the window, watching people and cars passing by while being absent-minded was a luxurious time.

I visited for lunch. The shop is located in a quiet residential area, blending in without standing out. The exterior has a wood tone, resembling a log house. There are two parking spaces in front of the shop, similar to a regular household. The wooden door has a no smoking sign. Upon opening the heavy door, you enter a calm and stylish space. The decor includes a counter and other elements in a soothing wooden color scheme. The walls are adorned with framed photos and paintings. An elderly man is running the shop alone. I ordered a herb sandwich and a blend coffee (rich). The sandwich was delicious, one of the best I've had. The bread was thin and crispy, with a nice crunch. The watercress inside added a refreshing texture, complementing the cheese and herbs well. I was very satisfied. The coffee had a rich aroma and a smooth taste, but it was quite bitter. The shop offers light, rich, and bitter blends. The coffee cups and glasses were stylish, fitting the cozy atmosphere. They also had Ethiopian Mocha for straight coffee. I'm not sure how well-known this shop is, but its hidden location and atmosphere make it a lovely hidden gem.

I remember the time when we were admiring the beautiful goldfish tank and the owner kindly and humorously shared information about goldfish, algae, and tank maintenance with us. The cafe had a unique atmosphere with cold, uncomfortable chairs that somehow made us feel calm and relaxed. As we left, we looked up and saw a mysterious door above the entrance, where a smiling Western woman seemed to be distributing dreams to children. The hot summer weather made it hard to recall if that day was exceptionally hot or not. The building was located along the Kamo River, and it had a fairy tale-like appearance that seemed to appear in dreams.

This is a shop that I always stop by when taking a walk along the Kamogawa Canal in Kyoto. As soon as you enter, you'll find a spacious interior with counter seats and table seats, all made of charming wooden chairs and tables. The simple and elegant items placed around do not interfere with the calming atmosphere. They offer four types of blended coffee - Regular, Light, Rich, and Bitter - so you can choose according to your preference (450 yen). There are several types of cakes available, but this time I ordered the wild egg pudding and the sweet potato rare cake. Both portions are small, making them perfect for a tea time treat. I personally preferred the pudding with a hint of orange, as it was moist and rich in flavor. If you want to enjoy a tea time in a luxurious atmosphere, be sure to visit this place.

Around 3:00 pm on a holiday, there was a single customer already seated in the cafe. Soon after, another solo customer walked in. The sepia-colored time seemed to pass by slowly. The coffee I ordered was a dark roast, but it was more mellow than bitter, with an amber-colored liquid. Not bad at all. The owner of the cafe (I'm not sure if he is called the master) blended into the atmosphere without asserting his presence, making it quite comfortable for us. The second floor serves as a gallery, where occasional solo exhibitions are held. I recently attended a solo exhibition by a textile artist, and the atmosphere of the gallery was quite something. I hope to visit again to enjoy that mellow coffee. The cafe is clean and has a relaxed atmosphere, making it a comfortable place even for solo visitors.

It was a lovely and calm shop that was perfect for a stroll along the Shirakawa River. I was intrigued by the exhibition in the gallery on the second floor, and although it was a small space, I was able to leisurely admire the beautiful paintings on display. Since I was there, I decided to just have a coffee before heading home. The manager was very friendly and I got to hear about the artist whose works were being exhibited. The coffee was delicious, and I had a pleasant and relaxing time. I now want to try their cakes next time.
