A quaint Chinese restaurant with a vintage storefront located in Imadegawa. I ordered the Chinese set meal (karaage, hachimitsu) for 700 yen. It's affordable, generous in portion, and delicious. They are open all day, so even if you miss lunchtime, you can still enjoy a meal. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive for a long time.

Upon entering, there was a long list of items on the wall. It would be nice to have a menu on the table for easier viewing. I ordered the Chinese noodles set meal (with fried rice). This seemingly simple ramen actually had a delicious soup with a hint of broth aroma. The fried rice had a slightly burnt smell, but the taste was good (the burnt smell is intentional). All this for 700 yen is a great deal! Next time, I will try the fried chicken!

When renewing my real estate license (every 5 years), I always decide to have lunch here. However, two years ago, the second-class FP exam was held at Nishijin Ori Kaikan, so I stopped by there last time. I was looking forward to coming here again for the real estate license renewal this time, but the seminar included lunch, so I couldn't stop by. Since then, I have been curious every time I passed by. Finally, today, I decided to go out and visit here in the morning. This time, I ordered the same Katsu Ramen set as two years ago. As others have mentioned, it comes with ramen with the Tonkatsu set, but the Tonkatsu set is 700 yen, while this Katsu Ramen set with a regular-sized ramen is 900 yen (increased by 50 yen). What a cost performance and volume! The ramen has a slightly Japanese-style broth, light and delicious. However, this time, the Tonkatsu was a bit over-fried after cutting, so it was a bit tough and disappointing. If nothing happens, I would like to come back for revenge in five years. (But can I eat this much in five years?)

I visited the restaurant during lunchtime and it was crowded. I ordered a bento box with mixed vegetables, fried chicken, a side dish (hijiki), pickles, rice with a sprinkle of seasoning (yukari?), and soup on the side. The rice is overflowing in the box, but it didn't bother me at all.笑

Suddenly wanted to eat fried rice, and ended up passing by this place. One of the famous options nearby is Cafe Zou-san's fried rice set for 750 yen. The portion is as shown in the photo, probably 50 yen more expensive than what I found online. However, considering the amount, I think it's still cheap! The fried chicken is not overly salty, which is a good impression. The fried rice has a strong taste of the burnt flavor from the iron plate, almost like it's going bald. That's all for now.

I think there are different types of feelings you can get from a restaurant, such as a sense of excitement, a sense of comfort, or a sense of fear. In this case, I felt a mix of excitement and a sense of fear. There were two women, one older lady and a young Chinese man, cooking in the kitchen. I ordered the ramen set meal, and the ramen tasted just as I had imagined. The fried rice had a strong iron taste, almost like eating out of an iron pot, which was interesting. The person next to me ordered the mapo tofu set meal. It seemed like the young Chinese man was taking orders, while the more experienced Chinese man was cooking. They had a little confusion about the order, but it was all very charming and amusing.

Visited on Monday night, March 17, 2021, a little after 7 pm. There were only 3 local customers at the Chinese restaurant. It seems like many people use this place for casual dining. I was asked if I wanted just ramen, but most people seem to order set meals. The ramen I had was a soy sauce-based chicken broth, light but flavorful. It's a typical Chinese restaurant ramen in many ways. While it may not be filling enough on its own, at only 500 yen, it's a great deal! A beloved local Chinese restaurant.

I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant in Kyoto town near my workplace. The area doesn't have many dining options, so I decided to try this place. The menu had a variety of options, but mainly single dishes. There were no set menus like half ramen or set A, and the meal sets like grilled meat set were a bit different from what I expected. Among them, the most unusual item was the Katsu Ramen set, so I decided to order it. When it arrived, I was surprised to see two side dishes, a lot of rice, and a full bowl of ramen. Just as I was wondering where the katsu was, it appeared a little later. Oh, this is a ramen and tonkatsu set meal! I thought it was going to be ramen topped with tonkatsu like the one I had in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The ramen was a full portion, and the tonkatsu was quite large, a thick piece of pork loin cutlet. The tonkatsu set meal here costs 700 yen, while the Katsu Ramen set costs 850 yen. In other words, you get a 500 yen ramen for an additional 150 yen. The ramen had a unique broth with a hint of Japanese dashi and fluffy noodles. It was decent, not exceptional. However, the tonkatsu was delicious, comparable to a specialty restaurant. The tonkatsu and rice were satisfying, and the ramen added a nice touch. I never expected to have two meals in one lunch. Overall, the ramen was average, but the tonkatsu was incredibly tasty. I'm curious to try other items on the menu.

The restaurant has an old-fashioned Chinese vibe and looks delicious. They have a variety of side dishes, so I wonder if they do a lot of takeout orders. I decided to order the fried rice set for lunch. The fried rice was pre-made and served in a bowl, and they also had fried chicken. I felt really thirsty after eating, maybe because they use a lot of MSG? The staff didn't seem very energetic. I'm not sure if I'll come back again.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I feel like there aren't many dining options in this residential area. The Chinese set meal came in a bento box style with eight treasures and fried chicken, along with soup. It was a generous portion and I left feeling full. The price at the time of my visit was 650 yen, and I thought the value for money was outstanding.
