This izakaya specializes in chicken dishes. It was very delicious. The interior of the restaurant is small and can get quite crowded when there are many customers. The flavor is based on the assumption that you will add sauce or seasoning. The portion size is generous. The cost performance is excellent! All the waitresses are cute! They quickly made a bento for me~ The Dokamori bowl is also reasonably priced!

I went to Kyoto and wanted to eat eel, so I gathered some friends and went to Kyoto! Eel Yubiki - Eel cuisine is best known for Yubiki. The plum accentuates the flavor and it was delicious. Sasami Salad - The refreshing dressing made me feel cool. Eel and vegetable tempura - The batter was crispy, but the eel was fluffy and delicious. Grilled chicken wings with sauce - The sauce was not overpowering and I found myself eating it without realizing it. Mixed rice - The aroma of green onions and sesame made the mixed rice elegant. Vanilla ice cream - It was a meal with friends I hadn't seen in a while, so the conversation was lively and it was a fulfilling day! The prices were reasonable, so I think it's worth a visit.

The fried chicken was surprisingly cheap! You can get about 3 pieces of thigh meat or breast meat for 100 yen. They also provide daikon radish and curry powder for free, which was very satisfying. The service was very fast, and the prices were so low that I ended up ordering more dishes without realizing. The dan dan noodles I ordered looked completely different from the photo, which made me laugh. They should either change the menu photos or make the dish look like the picture. Overall, I recommend this place for its cheap and filling fried chicken, and the young female staff members were friendly and made the experience very pleasant. I would definitely go back if I have the chance!

I went with two former colleagues. We had made a reservation for the course, but one person was late, causing us to start about 20 minutes late. Despite this, they allowed us to stay for more than the two-hour limit. The food was not only chicken, but also the meat and fish were quite delicious. Surprisingly, the course did not include fried chicken, so we ordered it separately. It was juicy and tasty. The service was a bit reserved, but polite.

The all-you-can-drink option is available, but the drink menu is limited!

I ordered the 4000 yen course with all-you-can-drink option. At first, I was worried if the quantity would be enough... but by the end, I was full. The drinks for all-you-can-drink were a bit weak for cocktails and sours.

We used it as a night couple! The fried chicken was delicious and we ate about 6 servings for two people haha Other dishes were also delicious, but it was a bit disappointing that the food took too long to arrive and other customers were getting annoyed.

I went to "Kin no Niwa" near Kyoto Station for their delicious fried chicken. It was quite crowded, but I had made a reservation and got a seat at the counter. They had a tempting menu of various fried chicken options to choose from. I ordered some and was served with a complimentary appetizer of chicken skin with ponzu sauce, which went perfectly with beer. Then, I got the melt-in-your-mouth bonjiri and a mix of boneless fried chicken thighs and breasts. The coating was crispy and crunchy, while the meat was juicy and delicious. The fried chicken came with a variety of spices like miso sauce, black pepper, white pepper, salt, curry powder, grated daikon radish, grated garlic, mustard, and a red and white sauce made with ketchup and mayo. I also ordered the golden fried chicken, which was equally delicious. I definitely want to go back for more fried chicken in the future.

We visited the restaurant in February 2015 with three people. It was our first time there, so we only made a reservation for seats and decided on the menu on the day of. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, so you won't get lost if you just go straight. There are several seats for four people, separated by sliding doors. The friendly staff can be called using a buzzer, making it a comfortable experience. Located about 100 meters south of Kyoto Station in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, is Kin no Niwatori Kyoto Honten. I went there with 7 other men. We opted for a course that cost around 3500 yen with a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option. The meal started with a salad as the appetizer, which left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. Next, we were served the main dishes which included fried chicken breast and thigh. However, the taste was more like homemade fried chicken rather than what you would expect at a restaurant. Then, a large plate of chilled tantan noodles was brought out as the final dish. Unfortunately, the noodles were not tasty and lacked flavor, with the spiciness only kicking in towards the end. It was puzzling to receive cold noodles, especially as winter was approaching. Lastly, we had cassis ice cream for dessert. None of the dishes were particularly delicious, and we only received 4 dishes in the 90-minute timeframe, with each dish taking a long time to arrive. We ended up ordering additional dishes separately, but they were slow to come out and often unavailable. Encountering a restaurant like this is quite rare. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
