Tianichi's debut. The tonkotsu ramen was as expected, rich and flavorful. The first few bites were good, but it became a bit monotonous towards the end and the noodles were a bit bland. The fact that the bamboo shoots didn't have a strong smell was a plus. The chashu was tender but not to my liking. The gyoza that came with the set meal was nothing special. The fried chicken that my companion ordered was juicy and the most delicious dish. The interior of the restaurant was old and the equipment was quite worn out.

Today after work in the morning, I went to Tenichi for lunch without looking at the prices much and ordered the Nira Ninniku Ramen for 1140 yen. I didn't care about inconveniencing others and went ahead with the order. It was my first time trying this menu with a unique smell combination! It was delicious and I finished all the soup! However, Tenichi has gotten more expensive. Adding Nira costs an extra 200 yen. I will still come back next week!

Normal Tenichi. It was a Saturday afternoon, a bit past noon, and the shop was starting to close. I wanted something high in calories but missed out on eating. However, it was too much trouble to walk around the Rokujizo area to find a shop. I stopped by on a whim after leaving Joshin. It was past 3 pm, but there were a few customers here and there. I ordered the rich fried chicken set meal. I think it was 1100 yen, plus extra noodles. The ramen tasted the same as anywhere else, a reliable flavor. When you get the extra noodles, the noodles get too long and it's hard to enjoy them until the end. I have visited this place three times, and each time I experienced that. The rich fried chicken has a different seasoning compared to regular fried chicken, at a level of taste that you can only find here! It's not a taste that you can only experience here, but the fried chicken goes well with the rice.

I finally got to eat the rich Tianjin rice set meal for 1200 yen! The rich Tianjin rice and rich ramen were just as I imagined! The sauce of the Tianjin rice became a rich soup, but it was delicious! Both the rice and the soup were rich! I tried adding pepper, spicy miso, and even poured ramen soup over the Tianjin rice, and it was delicious in every way! In the end, it became like Ojiya, but that's okay! Thank you for the meal!

I went to Tenkaippin to eat the richly flavored Tianjin rice, but it wasn't available yet. Instead, I ordered the richly flavored ramen and fried chicken set, which was delicious as always. The restaurant was almost full even on a weekday at around 2:30 pm. I saw the richly flavored Tianjin rice on the internet and really wanted to try it, but maybe next time. The richly flavored ramen never disappoints, so I left satisfied. I will definitely come back again.

The crispy fried chicken set meal costs 1170 yen. It comes with crispy ramen, 4 pieces of crispy fried chicken, and rice. I arrived at 8 pm on a weekday and there was no wait. I came here because I was craving crispy fried chicken. It seems like the prices have gone up. I sat at the counter and placed my order. I asked for a medium-sized rice, which was the same price as the large and small options. The ramen and rice arrived first, followed by the fried chicken a few minutes later. I wish they had all come out together. I ended up eating most of the ramen before the fried chicken arrived. The hot crispy fried chicken was delicious but nothing extraordinary. It tasted even better when dipped in a sauce made of mayo and gochujang. Ultimately, soaking the fried chicken in the soup made it the most delicious. While eating, I looked at the menu and noticed that most set meals were priced at 1200 yen, while the fried chicken set was 1170 yen. The pricing seemed a bit strange. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went to Tenkaichi for the first time in a while. I had the regular ramen with medium rice (1020 yen). It was delicious as always. The price has gone up, but Tenkaichi's rich ramen is still a taste that you can get addicted to. However, I was disappointed that only the glass had a strange smell.

I had the Kotteri Ramen + Today's Daily Special Set for 1,000 yen at Ten Ichi today. It's been a while since I visited the Rokujizo branch, and the daily specials were great! As soon as I entered, I saw the easel with the daily special menu - it was Tori Shiso Fry with Gobo Mayo Salad, I think? I added the ramen, and it came to exactly 1,000 yen (tax included). Plus, it's limited to only 30 servings. Originally, I just came for the ramen, which was around 780 yen, but with the daily special including ramen, rice, 3 small fried items, gobo salad, and pickles, it was a great deal! The fried items were small, and the rice was served in a generous portion in a rice bowl. The daily special set came on a tray instead of plates, which was surprising but didn't bother me. The Kotteri Ramen was as thick and delicious as always! I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

I used it for a late lunch walk during the New Year with a wobbly feeling. It was my first time using the Rokujizo store. The menu variations, such as set meals, are exciting. I ordered a set of the standard items. Gyoza set meal, rich ramen, draft beer. The rich taste is stable and nice! This ramen has an addictive taste that makes you crave it occasionally. Haha There are also benefits such as receiving Tenichi gimmicks when you collect stamps with the app.

Today, on October 1st, which is known as Ten-Ichi Day, I visited a ramen shop in Uji City because the popular ramen chain in Kyoto, Tenkaippin, was only accepting orders until 7:30 pm due to self-restraint requests. When I arrived at the shop after 8:00 pm, the parking lot was almost full, and the inside of the restaurant was crowded. I ordered a "Ramen Regular" with garlic for 780 yen at the counter. The soup was rich and thick, as expected. After a 15-minute wait, the bowl arrived with slices of pork, bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, and spicy garlic on top. I took a sip of the soup first, which had a rich and thick flavor. Mixing the spicy garlic and noodles into the soup slightly diluted the richness, but added a nice kick from the garlic. The noodles were slightly soft and had a chewy texture, blending well with the soup. The portion size was generous for a regular serving. The thinly sliced pork was delicious, the bamboo shoots were tender, and the chopped green onions added a nice flavor to the rich soup. Overall, the soup was a bit less intense than I prefer, especially after mixing in the noodles, but it was still a tasty and satisfying bowl of ramen.

I went to the restaurant in Shimonoseki two days after having disappointing miso ramen at another place. This time, I decided to try their rich yakiniku set instead. I've been eating yakiniku here for many years, but it seems to have gradually declined in quality over time.

After a long time, I visited Tenka Ippin!! It was my first time at this location, and I was a bit indecisive with the variety of set meals but ended up choosing the rich and flavorful Chashu Don set. The ramen tasted slightly lighter compared to other locations, but I made up for it by adding more ramen sauce! The Chashu Don had a nice aroma of sesame oil and the balance of kimchi was great!! It's not a menu item I usually order, but I would like to add it to my choices in the future!

When I go to Kyoto, I always try out various local ramen shops, but this time I didn't have much time and decided to visit this shop that I haven't been to in a while. This shop has expanded nationwide and can be seen quite frequently outside of Kyoto. With 237 locations, it surpasses popular chains like Ichiran (131 locations) and Ikkousha (97 locations). The taste can vary between each location, but in my opinion, the original shop in Kitashirakawa, Kyoto, stands out as the best. This time, I visited the Rokujizo branch for the first time. The shop was empty despite it being lunchtime, and I decided to try their signature rich ramen. The thick soup, based on chicken broth, is not as heavy as pork bone broth and pairs well with the noodles. You can customize the flavor by adding soy sauce or spicy miso. Overall, the soup is thick and allows you to enjoy different tastes in each bite. The quality of the soup can vary between locations, but this shop falls into the category of delicious. In the past, Kyoto ramen was known for its light and refreshing taste, but now the trend is shifting towards rich and flavorful ramen. This shop is a representative of Kyoto ramen and continues to uphold its reputation.

I came to use the free ticket for the Tenichi Festival! I thought it was until the end of October, but when I checked the ticket after ordering, it was actually until the end of November.... It was delicious though. Thank you for accommodating my request for "a lot of green onions"! However, the ramen today was surprisingly low on soup. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant on Thursday evening, October 4, 2018. There were a few customers scattered around, but the place is so spacious that it didn't feel crowded at all. I sat at the counter and ordered ramen with extra green onions, extra soup, and firm noodles. The ramen was served in about 2-3 minutes, very fast! The soup had a classic flavor, and getting extra soup was definitely worth it. The noodles were the standard ones from Tenkaippin, not the homemade ones that some trendy shops offer, but they were still tasty and reliable. The slightly laid-back atmosphere of this place is part of what makes Tenkaippin great.

I have been relying on this taste since middle and high school. Even though it's called a rich ramen, the soup at Tenkaippin is made from chicken and vegetables. When I was a student and caught a cold, I would ask for extra garlic to drive out the cold germs. I heard that the soup is delivered from the central kitchen, but the taste at the main store in Kitashirakawa is exceptional! I have grown this big thanks to Tenkaippin and Gyoza no Ohsho. It's the taste of being born and raised in Kyoto. Every year on October 1st is Tenkaippin Day. It's like a reunion with my classmates. Thank you for always taking care of us.
