"I want to participate in the stamp rally for "Maizuru Kaiji Curry" and that's why I visited the restaurant. Due to the influence of the coronavirus last year, I couldn't find the right timing to visit, so it's been a while. The parking lot can accommodate a few cars in front of the shop and also a minute's walk away, so you can visit by car with peace of mind. At this time of year, hand sanitization and non-contact temperature measurement by staff are required when entering the shop. Inside the shop, it feels like being in a cave, with table seats separated by walls for a sense of privacy. This time, I sat at the counter, which was separated from the neighboring table by an acrylic partition. The menu we ordered was the main attraction, the Kaiji Curry for my husband. Cup soup + leaf salad + curry + drink (he chose iced coffee). The curry had a homemade taste with a good level of spiciness for my husband. Inside the roux were chunks of potatoes and tender beef tendons, and although it looked like a small portion, it was surprisingly satisfying. I had the pasta lunch. Cup soup + for an additional 200 yen, I switched the leaf salad to an appetizer + bread + pasta with homemade roast beef + drink. - The cup soup was a bit small, but the creamy soup with bacon and mushrooms had a nice flavor. - The appetizer included leaf salad, glazed carrots, pickles, frittata, anchovy broccoli, purple cabbage labneh, 6-vegetable caponata, and homemade roast beef, a generous selection for an extra 200 yen. Personally, I might prefer the anchovy broccoli to have a bit more punch. The pickles had a nice tangy taste. - The roast beef peperoncino pasta had plenty of roast beef on top of the pasta. The slightly sweet roast beef sauce and the hotness of the peperoncino blended well. At 1400 yen (plus 200 yen for the appetizer), it's a great deal! I chose from the regular menu this time, but I'd like to try the limited-time menu next time. The desserts also looked delicious in the showcase next to the register (there used to be a separate entrance), with some seasonal items as well... Unfortunately, I didn't have room in my stomach this time to try them! I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal (*^^*) On a side note... except for the pasta, the size of the plates seemed a bit small compared to the volume of the food. Personally, I think using slightly larger plates could enhance the sense of luxury (and value for money). However, the tables are not very large, and if you want to maintain a casual atmosphere, this size might be just right. It's nice to have separate restrooms for men and women. The restroom also had a cave-like atmosphere (^ . ^)"
