I visited a set meal restaurant for the first time. I ordered the daily special which included grilled saury fish, pork cutlet, rice, potato salad, and one side dish. I also requested to change the miso soup to soba noodles as an option. The daily special at this restaurant was a unique combination of Japanese and Western cuisine. The soba noodles and side dish were flavorful with a good balance of taste, and the pork cutlet was easy to eat with a hint of sweetness from the potato salad. The restaurant had a homemade feel to it and I would love to eat there every day!

I was able to eat a healthy grilled fish set meal. It's surprising how few places offer this kind of food, so I'm happy. It was a daily special set meal with grilled fish and chicken cutlet. The portion was generous. The restaurant is not very large, so I think it's good for dining alone or with a friend for a meal or drinks.

I decided to venture beyond Kujo Street to find an unknown restaurant on Nishi-Oji in the desert of dining establishments. This restaurant does not operate on a small dish pick-up system, but rather allows customers to choose from the menu and place their orders. When I arrived, there were empty seats, but by noon, the restaurant was full with a steady stream of customers coming in. I ordered the Chisei Teishoku, which is a daily set meal. On this particular day, it included tonkatsu, simmered mackerel, two small dishes (dried daikon radish and potato salad), simmered kelp, rice, and miso soup. The tonkatsu was made from pork loin and was quite small in size. However, with a decent number of items in total (small dishes), I didn't feel unsatisfied. From listening to those around me, it seemed that udon dishes were popular choices overall. Thank you for the meal.

I went for lunch. Next to the shop, there is a . Inside the shop, there are counter seats and table seats. I sat at a table for two and looked at the menu, which included the daily Chisei set meal and udon set meal, among other options. There are daily specials and value sets available. For the meat udon, you can choose between koyadofu rice or Sukeroku. This time, I chose Sukeroku as a set, which came with a side dish, making it a good deal. Sukeroku also included sushi rolls and inari sushi. I started with the broth, which was hot, so I had to be careful, and had a strong bonito aroma. The udon noodles were medium-thin Kyoto-style noodles. The meat and green onions mixed well, bringing sweetness and umami to my mouth. I ate the sushi rolls, then the udon and inari sushi, enjoying each dish one after another. The side dish was a stewed pumpkin. Kyoto Chisei is definitely a great choice.

My husband came home before noon because of his spring break shift, so we decided to have lunch at "Senari Shokudo," a place we've been curious about but haven't had the chance to visit. The restaurant had a simple interior with counter and table seats, and despite its old-fashioned appearance from the outside, it looked very new inside. My husband had the udon (soba) set meal for 700 yen, while I had the Senari set meal (daily special) for 850 yen, which included simmered flounder and fried squid. The food was delicious with a good dashi flavor. The customers seemed to be mostly business-related people, and the portion sizes and prices seemed just right for the lunch crowd. The turnover of customers during lunchtime was steady. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The restaurant is located near the entrance of the Aeon parking lot, where you can park for free for up to 3 hours, making it convenient for both lunch and shopping. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance, and since most customers dined alone or in pairs, the atmosphere was quiet.

I went to the Chisei Shokudo restaurant near the Aeon Rakunan store for work. The place was almost full with customers during lunchtime. A regular customer recommended the "Ankake plate udon" to me, so I decided to try it. When the dish arrived, it looked beautiful with lots of green onions sprinkled on top. The visual presentation was impressive. Before eating, I was advised to transfer some of the hot ankake sauce to the side plate as it was very hot. The dish was full of various flavors and the combination of vegetables, crispy noodles, and the thick sauce was delicious. It was a great deal for ¥700. I also saw a menu item for "Spicy Champon" on the wall, which I would like to try next time.

I wonder why I didn't go there sooner! It was my first visit to this place. I had curry udon, and the daily special was udon set with meat curry udon and chirashi. While waiting for my order, I checked out the menu on the wall and saw that they had a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. I definitely want to stop by again since it's so close. The curry udon was delicious, and the set meal was quite filling. Thank you for the meal!
