A popular place in Kyoto to eat meat mabushi! The interior is modern with touch panels. The meat mabushi is tender and can be seasoned to avoid getting tired of it ☺️ The rice portion was a bit small! I was able to enjoy a Kyoto-style lunch ☺️ Thank you for the meal ☺️

Visited at 1pm. There was not much of a line, but it seemed difficult to enter without waiting. The interior of the store is narrow, but it gives off a clean impression. The menu consists of 3 types of dishes plus chawanmushi. The photo shows meat mabushi. The staff are friendly, orders are taken on an iPad, and the service is quite fast. There is a blackboard above with izakaya menu items, and I thought it would be better to go to an izakaya at night if I were to spend this amount during the day.
[Cost Performance]
The portion size is small for the price. It may be suitable for those with small appetites. There is no option for extra rice, so if you want to be full, you will need at least a double portion of meat (which costs 4000 yen).
[Taste]
The meat is tender, with thick slices of roast beef. It can be enjoyed with various condiments and dashi, so you won't get tired of it. The flavor is rich, and it tastes delicious when mixed thoroughly before eating, no matter which part you try!

While exploring Kyoto, I stumbled upon a delicious-looking restaurant with only one group waiting in line. I decided to join the queue and entered the restaurant. I ordered the "meat mabushi". At first, I tried a bite as it was, and it had a soy sauce-based seasoning with a hint of garlic flavor that was delicious. Next, I added condiments and poured broth over it, and the sauce and broth matched perfectly. The broth itself was rich with the flavor of the meat and was quite tasty. The condiments included plum, salted kelp, wasabi, shiso leaf, green onion, and seaweed. Personally, I found the combination of wasabi, shiso leaf, green onion, and seaweed to be the most delicious. Kyoto is currently hosting the Gion Festival, and there are rumors that you can see the construction of the floats for the upcoming procession on Shijo Street. I heard about this and decided to go to Shijo! However, when I arrived early in the morning, nothing had been set up yet, so I decided to kill time by exploring Yasaka Shrine and Chion-in Temple. The lotus flowers blooming at Chion-in were beautiful. I wanted to have an early lunch, so I entered a shop near Yasaka Shrine. It was just opening, so I was the first customer. The counter seats were separated by partitions, and each seat had an order panel. I ordered the Omi beef gyudon with chawanmushi for 1280 yen. The roasted beef with a slightly sweet and savory sauce was delicious on its own, but it was also great with your choice of condiments and dashi broth. The dashi broth was especially tasty. Before I knew it, the place was full with a line forming, so I was glad I arrived at the right time. ( ^ω^ )

I was able to enter without waiting in line around 11:30 on a regular day. My target was the Omi beef ootoro ushishi bowl seared (excluding tax 1700). There are rare and seared options, and I chose the seared one. The meat was so tender that you could tell just by looking at it. As expected, it was incredibly soft and the taste of the meat was amazing. I wish there was a bit more meat compared to the white rice for better value, but it was incredibly delicious and made me feel happy!

I visited this place for the second time. It was close to 9 PM, and the counter had sporadic customers, but a few more people came in after we sat down. The menu was on an iPad fixed to the counter, and all orders were placed through it. I don't often get to eat raw meat, but here I could enjoy both yukke and uni rolls, which were delicious. The grilled dishes also looked tasty, but I had already eaten quite a bit, so I only had something light. The yukke and uni rolls had thick, flavorful meat that melted in your mouth with a sweet touch. The cost performance was also excellent! I would love to come back with my girlfriends next time for a fun outing. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant in the bustling Gion area to boost my stamina. The inside of the shop is stylish. I sat alone at the counter and ordered a bowl of Omi beef fatty tuna and Omi beef sushi. My impression is that the Omi beef was very high quality and delicious. There is also something called beef toro flakes in Obihiro, Hokkaido, but it is completely different. I was very impressed by the fact that this shop allows you to enjoy the taste of high-quality Omi beef as it is. The prices are also kept reasonable, which I appreciated.
