--------✧✧✧Ordered Items✧✧✧-------- Weekday Limited: Sakura Afternoon Tea 7,820 yen *Limited menu from 3/15 to 4/24* Free flow of approximately 20 drinks for 90 minutes --------✧✧✧Overview✧✧✧-------- Located 2 minutes walk from Mitsukoshimae Station (accessible from Kanda, Nihonbashi, and Shin-Nihonbashi!) A luxurious and extraordinary restaurant on the 38th floor of Mandarin Oriental. I couldn't decide between daytime and nighttime, but I chose the afternoon tea with a view of the night scenery, which is not common. When you reach the 38th floor by elevator, you are greeted by a luxurious lobby with cherry blossom decorations, creating a lovely atmosphere. The sound of a waterfall flowing adds to the extraordinary ambiance, and I was thrilled to be in such a high-class hotel setting. --------✧✧✧Food Impressions✧✧✧-------- ▼Petit Fours The cherry blossom designs are so cute! The cherry blossom mochi is delicious, and the bonsai is adorable. Every year, I miss out on cherry blossom sweets due to the hustle and bustle, but I'm glad I could enjoy them this year! It felt like enjoying nighttime cherry blossoms, which was great. ▼Savory Each one is deliciously made with care and packed with flavor. Each item is meticulously prepared, and the richness of flavors is well concentrated. It truly brings happiness to your taste buds. ▼Scones The lemon-scented scones are light and fragrant, which I love. They are slightly smaller compared to others. Since you can only have one refill, it's recommended to enjoy them early! Also, isn't the clam-shaped clotted cream too cute?! ▼Drinks It's great to choose from 20 different drinks! The cups are lovely, and the free-flow option is delightful. All the drinks are of high quality and perfectly complement the Sakura Afternoon menu. --------✧✧✧Menu✧✧✧-------- ■Various Savories - Beet and Cream Cheese Ham Sandwich - Sakura-scented Salmon Confit - Roast Beef and Nanohana Yuba Spring Roll - Green Pea Mousse and Sakura Jelly - Spring Vegetable "Friborite" wrapped in Gelee ■Scones - Lemon Scones - Cheese Scones - Pink Grapefruit Jam - Lemon Curd ■Petit Fours - Sakura and Matcha Verrine - Griotte Confit and Vanilla Mousse - Sakura Mont Blanc - Sakura Leaf Financier and Chantilly - Raspberry Lychee - Chocolate Cream and Red Currant Jam - Sakura Mochi --------✧✧✧Additional Information✧✧✧-------- As an office worker who eats out 200 times a year, I introduce recommended restaurants for "girls' gatherings" and "dates" from an OL perspective. ◆SNS Instagram ID: per0rine Feel free to check it out~ Likes, saves, and comments are appreciated! ♡

I was able to spend a quiet and stylish time in a very calm and fashionable space at a girls' gathering. The course with drinks and light snacks was around 5,000 yen per person, making it an ideal place to relax and have tea. It was great that there were few people, perhaps because it was a weekday evening.

Afternoon tea, a luxurious experience. In recent years, this has been my most expensive indulgence in the world of afternoon tea. The view from the 38th floor overlooking Tokyo Station is breathtaking, with toy-like Shinkansen trains and cars below. Despite the cloudy weather, Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance. It was a unique feeling to look down on the bustling crowds like tiny ants. This day, I was invited by a friend I hadn't seen in nearly 5 years. Her husband is a high-ranking executive in a top company, and she exudes elegance and kindness. Despite my unease with heights, the luxurious setting and non-routine experience were invigorating. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel's afternoon tea was truly a treat. The selection of unique blend teas was impressive, and the free-flowing drinks were served generously. The 90-minute limit for ordering passed quickly due to the enticing lineup of drinks. The top three drinks we ordered were Jutème Mystique, Midnight Beauty, and Mochaccino. Additionally, joining the Fans of M.O. membership on the spot allowed us to enjoy a special mocktail, which was a highlight. The savory and sweet treats were all delicious, with a delightful progression of flavors. The freshly baked scones with various creams were a standout. The experience came at a price of 8602 yen, but it was worth every penny for the luxurious and enjoyable two hours. I look forward to experiencing the nighttime view someday, which I'm sure will be equally enchanting.

I made a reservation through a popular website and visited for the Autumn Afternoon Tea @8602 (2-hour limit, last drink order 30 minutes before closing). The seasonal Royal Milk Tea was chestnut flavored. I found the iced version to be more rich and allowed me to taste the chestnut flavor more strongly compared to the hot version. The scones, served with lemon and raisins, came with fig marmalade and maple jam. You can have one scone refill. I especially enjoyed the Tarte Tatin and the fruit pound cake this time. The variety of drinks that change with the seasons, the abundance of non-caffeinated and iced options, and the fact that all drinks are served in cups make this Afternoon Tea experience in Tokyo very satisfying.

I used it for my husband's birthday afternoon tea. We had a baby with us in a stroller, and we were grateful for the spacious sofa seating provided. The savory, sweets, and scones were all cute in appearance and delicious in taste. You could have seconds of scones. The tableware was lovely and got us excited. The drinks were all high quality, with a variety including mocktails, and the option to choose between hot, iced, and caffeine-free was good. I was happy to see many caffeine-free options as I am breastfeeding. The welcome drink and seasonal muscat royal milk tea offered for registering as a member were particularly delicious. I thought I would come back with my child once they can eat baby food and order from the kids' menu. I made a reservation through Ikyu and got a special price on certain days, which was a great deal. I had always wanted to try afternoon tea, and I was completely satisfied with the atmosphere, food, and drinks. Thank you for the meal.

Mandarin Oriental Tokyo's Summer Afternoon Tea features a variety of seasonal ingredients such as peaches, passion fruit, watermelon, and corn. Highlights include the Peach and Lychee Mousse with Coconut, the Lavender and Apricot Cream Puff, and the unique Cheesecake Blanc with Cucumber Jelly, Shine Muscat, and Perilla. The Decadence Pistachio with Pistachio Praline and Raspberry Confit is a must-try dessert that is simply delicious. The truffle fries are irresistible and possibly the best you'll ever taste. The menu includes savory dishes like Smoked Eel with Ume Plum, Watermelon Marinated with Prosciutto, and Foie Gras Terrine with Corn Galette. For sweets, there are Lemon and Raspberry Scones, along with various jams and pastries. This special afternoon tea is available until August 31, 2023, at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo.

I made a reservation because I wanted to have afternoon tea. It was my first visit. [Ordered items] Summer Afternoon Tea + 1 cup of Louis Roederer - 12,000 yen. The 38th-floor floor had a great view, high ceilings, and spacious and calm interior which was very lovely. They prepared a seat by the window for me, so I could relax while enjoying the pleasant sunlight. Savory dishes: Smoked eel with plum flavor, Paprika and zucchini Etuve, Chinese-style marinated watermelon and prosciutto, Gazpacho of junsa and nagaimo, Foie gras terrine and corn galette, Beef tongue and muscat white miso, Suzuki marinated in apple and caviar. Scones: Lemon scone, Raspberry scone, Rhubarb and strawberry jam with raspberry and blueberry jam. Pastries: Lavender and apricot choux cream, Peach and lychee mousse with coconut jasmine tea, Chocolate cream and lemon milk chocolate, Rhubarb confit and passion fruit, Fromage blanc and cucumber jelly, Shine muscat, Shiso decadence pistachio, Pistachio praline and mousseline, Raspberry confit. Not only were they visually appealing, but they were also delicious! It seemed you could only have one refill of scones. There were various drink options, and the staff were considerate enough to ask when it was running out. This was my favorite afternoon tea experience so far! I would love to go again when the season changes!

In 2023, "Mandarin Oriental Tokyo" received the highest rating of 5 stars in both the "Hotel Department" and "Spa Department" for the 9th consecutive year from the US rating agency "Forbes Travel Guide". Located on the top floor of the 38th floor, the chic lounge "Oriental Lounge" offers drinks such as Oriental Orchid and Tanglin Royal.

I made a reservation and visited at 12:30 on a regular day. The first drink and scone were served a bit later than usual, but the hospitality was excellent as always. They were considerate of my friend's allergy and provided alternative options instead of just removing the allergen. (Although they had mentioned a shellfish allergy, scallops were still served so it's important to double-check). You can have a second serving of the scones with summer orange and passion fruit flavors. The decadent cake was served with a cutting service, and the seasonal royal milk tea was mango-flavored. There was also an option for fresh herb tea or TWG's breakfast Earl Grey tea. The sweets had a refined sweetness with a refreshing tropical fruit acidity, allowing you to feel the early summer in the afternoon tea. The flavored teas change with the seasons, making it very enjoyable. I would like to visit again in a different season.

Conclusion, I will choose this place over other hotels for afternoon tea. It's delicious, cute, and the portion size is generous compared to others! I also appreciate the variety of tea options, including decaf. Even though there isn't much opportunity for conversation during afternoon tea, I can still feel the warmth from the staff. I heard that there will be a new pastry chef for the next afternoon tea, and I'm looking forward to it!

I visited for afternoon tea around noon on the weekend. The service and atmosphere were both very good. They asked about the next drink before the current one ran out, and they offered a weekend-exclusive herbal tea and rose tea. You could also have a second serving of scones, which they brought out warm.

I love it so much that I had to visit again. It's the Valentine's Day & White Day limited edition Amour Afternoon Tea. I recommend making a reservation on weekdays due to the price. The volume, taste, cuteness, and hospitality are all amazing. I can understand why Instagrammers want to come back every season (laughs). This time, the clotted cream was heart-shaped! When you put half of it on each scone, it's a Cinderella fit (laughs). I experienced firsthand why Mandarin's Afternoon Tea is so popular. So, please let me visit for the cherry blossoms next time (laughs).

It's a trip to Tokyo. I had anglerfish hot pot in Ryogoku, but it's still too early to go back to the hotel around 8:30 pm. I'm an adult woman, so I decided to go to the hotel bar. I'm with my daughter's colleagues. I may act like a kid, but I managed to dress up nicely and wear proper shoes. The lights of the tall buildings create a beautiful cityscape. What should I drink? I requested something light, refreshing, and fruity. Then, they brought me a Mimosa, which I really enjoy. I'm so happy. The night view and the orange color go so well together. And whiskey... "You like whiskey, don't you?" That phrase reminds me of Ishikawa Sayuri's commercial, which I love. I had two drinks. But the bar closes at 9 pm. I wish we could talk more. Maybe next time, I'll come earlier.

I attended a lovely private afternoon tea event. In conclusion, I believe it is one of the best afternoon teas in Tokyo. The atmosphere, taste, and service were all excellent. Unlike typical afternoon teas, the scones here are refillable once. And these scones are incredibly delicious! They are not powdery, nor too dense. They are crispy, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The Mandarin original blend tea-flavored pound cake is also surprisingly airy and disappears quickly. It was an afternoon tea with no flaws. I will definitely visit again.

The Afternoon Tea at the 38th floor lounge of Mandarin Oriental Hotel was delightful. This time, they had a winter theme with chestnut and other autumn flavors in the mini cakes, which were incredibly cute. The tea was delicious as well, and the interior was stunning with beautiful green sofas creating a calming atmosphere. It cost 13,000 yen for two people, and you can choose between window seats or sofa seats. The restroom was also very clean.

ORIENTAL LOUNGE "Mitsukoshi-mae" had afternoon tea at Mandarin Oriental✨ I don't usually go for afternoon tea, so I was really looking forward to it. The lounge with high ceilings and spaciousness exuded luxury and the hospitality was fantastic! The afternoon tea had both sweets and savories that were all incredibly delicious and made me feel so happy. There was a wide variety of drinks to choose from, and I remember carefully selecting what I wanted to drink. The pound cake made with the hotel's original blend tea, cut in front of us, had a lovely tea aroma and was really delicious. #orientallounge #mandrinoriental #mandarinorientaltokyo #OrientalLounge #MandarinOrientalTokyo #Mandarin #MandarinOriental #MandarinOrientalTokyoAfternoonTea #AfternoonTea #afternoontea #TeaTime #TokyoDining #TokyoCafe #TokyoSweets

Afternoon tea at the Oriental Lounge on the 38th floor of the Michelin 5-star Mandarin Oriental. The area around Mitsukoshi-mae is the headquarters of the Mitsui Group, and this Mandarin Oriental is filled with high-end stores with impeccable service. The higher prices reflect their confidence. Each dish seems to have been carefully crafted by the chef, with complex and delightful flavors. The view from the 38th floor towards Tokyo Station and Shinjuku is stunning, making for lively conversations. I forgot to take a picture, but the herbal tea served at the end was apparently a specialty and had a very pleasant taste. Delicious without a doubt, cozy without a doubt, excellent service without a doubt. I would love to come back if given the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo is a luxurious 5-star hotel that opened in 2005 as the first Mandarin Oriental hotel in Japan. The Oriental Lounge on the 38th floor offers stunning views of the city skyline and exudes an oriental atmosphere. Within the lounge, there is a Michelin-starred "Tapas Molecular Bar," which serves molecular cuisine at an 8-seat counter. Due to the pandemic, alcohol service was suspended at night, but I was finally able to visit the lounge tonight and enjoy the bar time after a long time. The whiskies at the Oriental Lounge include the Taketsuru 21-year and the Fuji Sanrokuraku 18-year. The lounge underwent an interior renovation in 2020, creating a gentle and feminine atmosphere. Afternoon tea is popular during the day, while the evening offers a relaxing and sophisticated bar time. The top-notch service from the hotel staff is always exceptional. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
