This is a restaurant called Hitsuji Shokudo specializing in lamb meat. The interior is not very spacious. I looked at the menu and ordered the lamb shoulder steak, potato salad, and a draft beer. The shoulder steak is top quality lamb meat. It is cooked and enjoyed with wasabi soy sauce. You can have it sliced after it's cooked. For someone who loves lamb meat, this place is a blessing.

Today I went to a Genghis Khan restaurant and had a light meal. It's called "Hitsuji Shokudo" located in Kawaramachi, Yanaginobanba, Kyoto. As the name suggests, it's a restaurant specializing in lamb Genghis Khan. Today, I just stopped by for a drink before closing time, so it was more like an izakaya experience. I had potato salad, draft beer, and lamb prosciutto. Looking at the menu, I started craving meat, so next time I'll come earlier and try the lamb meat.

On the 6th day of Golden Week, my family of three had a rare night out together, enjoying wine and lamb at a specialized restaurant in Kyoto. We arrived at 6:30pm to find a cozy restaurant with mainly counter seats, which was bustling with customers. Luckily, we had made a reservation. We sat on high chairs at the counter, with our child in the middle, and started with a toast with beer, even though the restaurant is known for its wine selection. Despite being busy, the three staff members worked efficiently. We ordered lamb meat, lamb tongue, lamb chops, a vegetable set, and addictive cucumbers. The staff grilled the meat and vegetables on a special iron plate over charcoal, cooking the fresh lamb to perfection. The meat had a medium rare doneness, with a simple and clean flavor. It was definitely high-quality lamb, though a bit pricey. We switched to black sugar shochu on the rocks and shochu sour, and added lamb fillet to our order. For dessert, we had lamb keema curry and a custard ice cream resembling crème brûlée. The lamb chops were especially delicious, with a good balance of vitamins and iron. It was a feast of tender and healthy lamb meat. Thank you for the meal.

This is one of the few Genghis Khan (Mongolian BBQ) restaurants in Kyoto where the staff cook the meat for you. The meat itself was very delicious and easy to eat. I wanted to decide what I wanted to eat at my own pace, but it was nice that I could eat as much as I wanted if I waited. The lamb chops are priced by the gram, a bit expensive but the taste was amazing, you wouldn't think it's a Genghis Khan restaurant. The restaurant itself was also very clean. There are plenty of coin parking lots nearby, so please give it a try.

Genghis Khan requested that we go together to this restaurant that was found by a friend (*´꒳`*) I've been to various Genghis Khan restaurants in Kyoto, but this one was a first for me. The interior was very beautiful and the staff were new and fresh, probably university students. They cook the Genghis Khan meat right in front of you using a charcoal grill, so you don't have to do it yourself, making it easy and enjoyable. They also teach you how to cook it just right, so you can enjoy it at its best. If the vegetables start to burn, they transfer them to a plate for you, which is a big plus for someone like me who tends to burn things on the grill. They also recommend different ways to eat the meat, like with green onions, lemon, salt, or wasabi soy sauce depending on the cut. The wasabi soy sauce was great!! It goes well with any cut and is light and refreshing. They said they remove excess fat from the meat, but when I tried the lamb chops afterward, they were really fatty haha. I guess that's the norm! They prepare it in a way that makes it easy to eat and appreciate the flavor of the fat. About two slices of the lamb chops were enough for me!! It had been a while since I had lamb, but I still love it~♩♩ I got to try various types of lamb and really enjoyed it ( ´ ` *) Oh, and when I mentioned that the highball was a bit weak, they made the next one stronger, which was also nice.

One of the few Genghis Khan (Japanese-style grilled lamb) restaurants in Kyoto. It has a casual atmosphere that makes it easy to enter. @hitsuji_shokudo #hitsuji_shokudo #sheep #GenghisKhan #KyotoGenghisKhan #KyotoSheep #Kyoto #KyotoGourmet #KyotoDinner #Yanaginobanba #Takoyakushi #Wine #ConnectWithWineLovers #GenghisKhanSpecialtyRestaurant

I had only eaten Genghis Khan in Hokkaido before, but I was invited to try it here for the first time. It's a clean and beautiful restaurant that doesn't look like a Genghis Khan place. It was fun to watch the kitchen from the counter. As for the taste... it's decent, haha. I didn't expect to find delicious Genghis Khan in Kyoto. Even if you have a trauma with lamb meat, it's worth a try.

I haven't had sheep dishes much before, so I dropped by the sheep restaurant on a whim. It was the right decision to visit alone at a strange time! I had the Genghis Khan by myself, and I didn't expect lamb meat to be so delicious! I remembered a friend who returned from Australia saying, "I think my favorite meat is sheep!" and I can understand why after trying it here. Until now, when I thought of sheep meat, it was just smelly meat, but that impression has been completely erased. Honestly, aside from it being a bit intimidating to go alone and the vegetables being a bit pricey, I thought it was a great restaurant. I would like to go again.

I visited a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant in Yanaginobaba Takoyakushi and the meat here doesn't have a strong smell, so you can eat heartily. I usually start with lamb and then move on to bone-in meat, which has a strong flavor and satisfying texture. It's delicious to eat on its own or dipped in the herb and spice sauce, which is sweet and savory. I also like to order the assorted grilled sausages, especially the chorizo. Even after eating a lot, the bill for two people is around 8000 yen, which is reasonable.

Kyoto is located northeast of Shijo Karasuma. I happened to stumble upon this restaurant near Yanaginobanba Street, just a short walk west from Shakyamuni. I was already quite full from drinking nearby, but I've been really into lamb meat lately. When I found this place, I decided to check it out. Inside the restaurant, it felt more like a wine bar than a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) place. The atmosphere was strong, the restaurant was new and clean, with sleek and stylish decor. The staff were all well-dressed, which made us slightly nervous as we, slightly drunk and messy, were seated. We ordered lamb meat Genghis Khan with grilled vegetables and red wine. The owner, a sharp-looking man, brought a tabletop grill and a helmet-shaped Genghis Khan pot covered with foil to our table. Soon, the meat arrived, and the staff (in our case, the owner) cooked it for us perfectly. It was incredibly delicious! Personally, I prefer a bit more of the unique gamey smell of lamb meat, but this was almost odorless, which I assume is more popular with the general public. Additionally, regular cigarettes were not allowed, but IQOS and Ploom Tech were permitted. I don't smoke, but many people around me do, so it was great to have the option for smoking-friendly establishments.

I visited a restaurant with my company boss. My colleagues had recently gone to eat Genghis Khan, and since I had never tried it in Kyoto, I was excited. The interior of the restaurant was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff explained things politely while cooking for us, so we were able to enjoy eating without getting bored. The meat was very delicious, but the cheese from the a la carte menu was also amazing and paired well with alcohol! I would like to go back there again soon.

This restaurant is probably the only Genghis Khan (lamb barbecue) specialty shop in Kyoto. The owner mentioned that lamb meat has a unique smell that some people love but others find off-putting, which is why they focus on serving only lamb meat. I ordered the premium lamb and regular set, and as the owner said, there was no strong smell and it had a healthy taste. It's a flavor that girls would probably enjoy, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is stylish, making it suitable for a date. Since it's not too strong, anyone can enjoy it. (By the way, Genghis Khan is said to be good for dieting.)

Today's second dish was a set of grilled lamb and vegetables. The lamb was cooked slowly and was delicious. Grilled eggplant was surprisingly tasty! Finished with the reliable butter soy sauce rice.

Today, we made a reservation at a restaurant I've been wanting to try, as my friend wanted to eat lamb. Unfortunately, only counter seats were available, but we decided to go ahead with it. We tried lamb prosciutto for the first time and it was delicious! It had a rich, fatty taste that was really enjoyable. The coleslaw salad was crunchy and refreshing. The potato salad with lamb bacon was also tasty. The lamb chops were amazing! We ordered two servings of lamb Genghis Khan with extra vegetables, and finished with keema curry and butter soy sauce rice, which were all delicious. The staff at the counter was polite and attentive, so despite the seating situation, we had a great experience and would love to come back again!

The atmosphere is so stylish and calm, it doesn't feel like a yakiniku restaurant. Perfect for a date. And the prices are reasonable. I never thought I could eat such delicious Genghis Khan in Kyoto. I want to go back again.
