I wanted not just a counter, but also table seating, so I asked for recommendations and a veteran of Kyoto suggested this place, "Le Peu." It's a late-night bar with a great selection of wine and champagne. The tables at the back have a nice view along the Shirakawa River, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. The owner nearby is a mature lady who also entertains customers after hours, making it a great spot for adults. On this particular day, we enjoyed highballs, champagne from a bottle, and had a very enjoyable evening.

It's been a while since I've been in this area! It feels nostalgic. A friend took me to this second bar. I'm not knowledgeable about alcohol, so whenever I come to a nice bar, I always convey that I want something to drink. For the first drink, I said, "Something refreshing and light, please!" and I got a gin-based cocktail with a hint of lime and mint. For the second drink, I said, "Fresh fruit, a bit sweet," and I got a stylish cocktail with a lot of strawberry sweetness and hardly any alcohol taste. The strawberry flavor was amazing. Both drinks (especially the second one) were really delicious! (limited vocabulary) Including tips, it was a little over 5000 yen for two drinks. The atmosphere along the Takase River was nice, so I think it's worth the price.

Probably expensive, but a bar with a nice atmosphere and cozy feel. It stays open late, so I think it's a place where people working in Gion go for drinks after work. Both the hamburgers and pasta were delicious, and the guilt of eating late at night faded away. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the bar "Le Peu" in Gion! The entrance may seem intimidating, but it's a wonderful place that welcomes newcomers! The interior has a great atmosphere, perfect for adults! It looks like a cool space that would be popular for Gion's nightlife! The staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. They have a wide variety of drinks, so I definitely want to go back and enjoy it once the pandemic is over! It was a wonderful time! Thank you!

I visit a bar in Gion, Kyoto every year. I used to go to the affiliated bar "Aoi" before, but my favorite bartender moved to this one, so I've been coming here since then. It's located just a short walk from Aoi. The fruit cocktails here are amazing and I always end up drinking too much. I prefer the atmosphere at Aoi though. This time, I had a peach and champagne cocktail, a watermelon cocktail, a mojito, and cocktails with golden kiwi and tea, and grapefruit. They were all delicious! Thank you for the meal.

A bar I visited through an acquaintance's recommendation. Located in Gion, it tends to get crowded, so it's better to call ahead. Surprisingly spacious with both a counter and tables. They have a chef, so the food menu is quite extensive, which is a nice touch. Started with a seasonal fruit cocktail. Since it was peach season, it was paired with champagne. They have a variety of wines, making it enjoyable for both same-sex and opposite-sex groups.

This is my second visit to Bar LePeu, an authentic bar in Kyoto Gion with a view of Gion and Shirakawa. I enjoyed a cocktail made with fresh orange and passion fruit tea liqueur. It was delicious!!!

Thank you, I had the best birthday of my life, surrounded by alcohol after midnight at Le Peu Gion. I learned about the ABCs of champagne and toasted with Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs, made only from Chardonnay grapes. It was completely different from any champagne I've had before, very crisp and delicious, with a luxurious taste. It truly lived up to its reputation as the "jewel of Champagne." I even collected the crown caps from the opened bottles and learned a fun way to use corks as keychains. Then, my tequila maestro senior helped me choose a delicious tequila for a special cocktail, and we had a blast with a spicy arrabbiata dish and a drawing contest. I had so much fun that I'm now dealing with a hangover, but I plan to drink again tonight, breaking down the alcohol with curry udon broth and spices. Alcohol is truly enjoyable and fascinating. After sushi, I headed straight to the BAR I was aiming for, but was turned away because it was reserved, so I ended up here instead. Located along the Shirakawa River, the riverside is made of glass. It seems to be a fantastic location where you can see the cherry blossoms up close in spring. This time, I sat at the counter. I had a Daiquiri Moscato cocktail and a Salty Dog with watermelon. The counter had an acrylic board, hand sanitizer, and thorough COVID-19 measures in place. The Moscato cocktail I had was made with grape vodka, with a gentle sweetness and refreshing taste. It was delicious. I finished my drink quickly and left the shop, but was escorted outside by the gatekeeper. The service was very polite. I would like to visit during cherry blossom season.

There was a vacancy at Lupu's cottage, so we made a reservation for a gathering. To enter the room, you need to input a passcode given over the phone. Inside, the bartender is there to make drinks for us. Since it's a private rental, it's quite nice. The drinks are delicious, made by the bartender. Lupu's has a wide variety of food to go with the drinks!

I'm looking for a nice bar with a good atmosphere to enjoy a drink and recently I've been going on bar-hopping trips. I really like the vibe of these places, especially because the bartenders are often interesting people to chat with while having a drink. It's always fun to drink together with them. Sometimes it's even full, but that's part of the charm.

The location was great with a beautiful view of Shirakawa. Even though the first place we went to was a disappointment, we had a good time afterwards. It felt like the place had changed, and when we asked, we found out they had moved. We had a gin and tonic, a Morenge Ruban, a Moet Chandon Mael, and an Alexander, all for 5800 yen. There was a 1000 yen charge. The gin and tonic was sweet with a hint of bitterness, but it was tasty. The Morenge Ruban was delicious as always, with a vanilla aroma from the start. Good whiskey brings happiness. I still don't like the Mael, sorry, it's just not for me. As an excuse, I ended with an Alexander. I can handle cocktails, just not the Mael. Or at least I hope so? It was a fun time.

I don't really enjoy the Gion Chochou event in the summer of 2019, it's not my cup of tea haha. I prefer savoring a glass of amber at a nice bar instead. Maybe it's time to graduate from the butterfly festival? I took a break from the hustle and bustle of Gion and visited my favorite bar, "French 95," to quench my thirst with some amber. I enjoyed a glass of "OBAN Distillers Edition," a 14-year-old whisky at 43%, matured in sherry casks. It had a light and smooth taste with a nice touch of peat at the end. I also tried "Benriach Distillery 10-year-old," a Speyside whisky with a surprisingly strong peat aroma for its age. It was smooth and enjoyable, especially with a bit of water added. The bar is a great place to relax and enjoy whisky, but there always seems to be noisy customers at the table in the back haha. Anyway, it's important to take your time and savor the moment. It's already 11 pm and I'm getting sleepy, so it's time for me to head home.

The positioning with a perfect view of the Shirakawa River is great. We always have a lively time with 3 or more people, and the sofa seats in the back are usually available. It's nice that they stay open late. By the time we pay, I'm usually starting to lose consciousness and don't remember much.

The place was full of cherry blossoms. Had a light glass of strawberry champagne and Colton Blue, bars are really nice after all. The alcohol is delicious. The restaurant was indeed full, but luckily there were some empty seats. Recommended the bar to my friends.
