On this day, both my husband and I were in the mood for yakiniku, so after buying electronics at Yodobashi Camera, we headed straight to this restaurant. We have a small child, so I was considering not going if the grill was too close to the seats, but it turned out to be a large table with a grill only in the middle, so we decided to enter. The interior of the restaurant had a retro feel, reminiscent of a Kyoto townhouse, and it was stylish and cozy. We were seated in a private room (connected to the next room by sliding doors), and the staff would come when we pressed a call button. It was very comfortable. The seating was sunken kotatsu style. When we sat down, there was a cloth in the bag basket to prevent odors from sticking. The cold tea served was in a very large glass, reducing the need to call the staff for refills. Our child was given tea in a plastic mug with a straw. The disposable hand towels were thick and the disposable apron was easy to put on without tying strings. We ordered the lunch set menu for 2, which included an assortment of meats, rice, kimchi, side dishes, egg soup, and a smoothie. The meats were delicious, and our daughter enjoyed them too. The white rice was plentiful, but the meat and kimchi made it very appetizing. I finished my portion in no time. My husband ordered a large serving and shared it with our daughter, who was satisfied with the portion. The smoothie was a rich carrot juice that our daughter loved. We were also given 3 ice candies as a treat after the meal. The staff were kind and we would definitely like to visit again.

First visit to this restaurant. I have seen it on TV for many years and finally had the chance to visit. Ordered a platter of three different cuts of tongue, harami, kalbi, top liver, 4th generation tradi salad, rice, namul, famous yukkejang noodles, sirloin and harami sushi, and premium yukke! The yukke was cooked at a low temperature, so it was not to my liking, but the top tongue and tongue tendons, as well as the sushi, were delicious! Especially, the top liver was really good! The vanilla ice cream stick served as a complimentary dessert was surprisingly delicious!

Taste: I think the quality of the meat is generally good. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is calm and could be suitable for business entertaining. It would also be nice for a date. Cost performance: Generally expensive, so the cost performance is not great. It's not a place to go for good value.

I used it for entertaining foreigners. The meat is reasonably priced, but the presentation is elaborate, making it look more expensive than it is. It was nice to have a private room available. This time I made a reservation for a course, so next time I would like to go and try the a la carte menu.

All the meats were tender and delicious, I was impressed. The restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere and there were no kids' menus available. The staff were very polite and kind, which helped ease any travel anxieties. The fact that all rooms are private is also great. I would love to visit again.

My 5-year-old son had a single serving of yakiniku. Dad and Mom had the set meal. It cost around 15,000 yen for 3 people. We enjoyed the meal. The staff at the restaurant were also very nice. It would be nice if they had a kids' set with tender cuts like fillet or loin (around 2,000 yen). We will definitely visit again.

My mother said she wanted to eat yakiniku in a quiet place, so I chose this place near Yodobashi Camera where you don't need an umbrella from Kyoto Station. It was my first time at Toraji. The atmosphere was calm and the seats were spacious and comfortable. We ordered the Toraji Gozen and the yakiniku lunch set (S size). The amount of meat was perfect for women. The smokeless roaster made the experience enjoyable. The one sip juice before the meal, the side dishes, the soup, and the corn tea were just right. The milk-flavored ice candy after the meal was also delicious.

Good evening ( ̄Д ̄)ノ This time, my family plus my father-in-law and mother-in-law, a total of 7 people, went out for yakiniku♡ It was our first time at this restaurant. It's located on the 6th floor of a building near Kyoto Station, where Yodobashi Camera is. We parked our car in the multi-level parking lot and headed to the restaurant. Upon arriving in front of the restaurant, we noticed the dimly lit and cozy atmosphere inside. It was like a semi-private room with sunken kotatsu seating, very relaxing. I left the ordering to the restaurant and we went with the Standard Course at 6050 yen per person. It was a new experience for the kids, and they seemed a bit nervous as it was a different kind of restaurant than what they were used to. The course included appetizers, salad, kimchi, squid, yukhoe, pork intestines, and it seemed like a great match with beer, although I didn't drink this time. The grilled items consisted of tongue, kalbi, loin, skirt steak, pork belly, large prawns, and hormone meat. Personally, I enjoyed the skirt steak the most. After indulging in yakiniku, we had some cold noodles and then finished off with almond jelly in a stylish glass and milk ice candy. It was a different experience from our usual yakiniku place, but trying out new places once in a while is nice. Thank you, it was a delicious meal.

My daughter wanted to eat yakiniku, but I couldn't make it on the day, so I joined the old man group for a yakiniku party! I ordered some dishes and decided to meet up after paying the bill. The menu didn't specify if the meat was wagyu or not, so I asked. Turns out it wasn't wagyu, they also had imported meat, but the quality was low! My choice was not good! I ended up choosing something that seemed good, but the flavor was too strong! I didn't know about the quality levels!

My son, who just turned 4, had his annual tradition of unlimited toy shopping on his birthday. Since he's still 4, he doesn't really know what he wants yet, so there was still plenty of room for more toys. We then went out for lunch, and he wanted to eat some meat, so we ended up at this place called Toraji. It was our first time there, and it was quite nice. It was described as being better than Gyu-Kaku but not quite a high-end restaurant, which I think is accurate. However, there was definitely a difference in quality between the dishes. The set with lean meat that I ordered for 2,100 yen came with a lot of rice, almost too much for the price. The beef tongue assortment for 2,800 yen seemed to be imported, but it was still a good deal for the price. The draft beer was 830 yen, and while it was served in a thin glass, it was still a bit pricey for a high-end restaurant. Overall, my son and I unexpectedly had a good time, and the spacious seating felt like a private room, making it a great option for dining with kids. The distance between the table and the grill also provided some peace of mind, as my son couldn't accidentally touch the grill. Toraji might be a good choice for families looking for affordable and child-friendly yakiniku options. Just thought I'd share my experience with you~♪

I came here because I wanted to have a slightly luxurious yakiniku at Kyoto Station. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and relaxing. I came alone, but I was given a spacious seat and was able to relax comfortably. I had the Toraji set meal, which had a generous amount of food and I was very satisfied. The taste was delicious and I was very pleased with my experience.

After my son graduated and entered university last year, I followed him to Kyoto where he was working hard on organizing farewell events for graduates and volunteering activities. We met up at the Shiga Ryuo Outlet Park during his lunch break from work. For my wife's birthday celebration, seven family members gathered, and even the heavy rain cleared up by the time we arrived. The food court at Big Camera was packed with lines at every restaurant on a Saturday night, so reservations are a must. Inside, the atmosphere was dimly lit and cozy, with two tables for four in the tatami seating area. We started with a Tragi platter (Kalbi, Harami, loin, heart, small intestine) for 3800 yen, marinated in a slightly sweet sauce. The 8mm sliced raw tongue (4 pieces) for 1600 yen was seasoned with salt and pepper, and we also ordered the Tragi salad for 700 yen and sesame salad for 600 yen, along with draft beer for 680 yen. My son, who had just turned 20, ordered a Cassis Orange for 700 yen and then a lemon sour for 500 yen. I opted for a Tragi Makgeolli for 550 yen, followed by a Kimchi platter (cabbage, cucumber, radish, burdock root, and greens) for 900 yen. Feeling the excitement of the reunion and the delicious food, we added a Special Tragi platter (Diamond cut Kalbi + loin with Harami) for 4800 yen and two plates of small intestine for 780 yen each. While the ladies enjoyed the cold noodles, my son and I ordered cold noodles for 900 yen each. My son's order of Yukgaejang noodles for 1000 yen was a delicious combination of beef tail soup base, tofu, and Gochujang. The kids ended their meal with a fruit jelly for 500 yen and almond tofu for 500 yen, feeling extremely full and content. As we discussed plans for sightseeing the next day, a staff member approached us and announced that they had heard it was someone's birthday, so the restaurant brought out a surprise dessert with a birthday song. We all cheered and received a 500 yen discount coupon, making the experience even more memorable. Despite the slightly weak heat on one side of the smokeless roaster, we left the restaurant satisfied and looking forward to returning with my son.

I visited Yakiniku Toraji located next to Kyoto Station's Yodobashi Camera. They have private rooms for each table, and the smokeless roasters prevent your clothes from smelling. The meat is delicious, especially the tongue, which I often order along with Harami and pork belly when dining alone. The tongue is particularly tasty here, and I always get the raw tongue salt T-cut. They also offer a thicker cut option called "Thick Cut" for double the price, but I find the T-cut to be thick enough. If it's too thick, it can be difficult to cook properly for amateurs, so I think this thickness is just right. Additionally, I always order the Negi Shio Rice, which is delicious in a simple way. This place offers good quality meat at a reasonable price and is convenient for solo dining.

Yakiniku. In Japan, yakiniku is probably a genre where people have strong preferences, second only to the way rice is cooked. The doneness of the meat, knowing when it's ready to eat - these reflect a person's life experiences and values. Personally, I like my meat cooked until the juices start coming out, then flip it and eat it right away, about medium rare. What does that say about my life? I have no idea. But if there's a psychologist out there who can analyze my deep psyche based on how I like my yakiniku cooked, seriously, please do it. Anyway, this is a visit log from "Yakiniku Traji" for today. It was my wife's birthday, so we went out for yakiniku at her request. She chose the restaurant, which we had visited before and enjoyed. As always, I followed her lead and we walked through the curtains of "Yakiniku Traji". It's located about 5 minutes from Kyoto Station, on the 6th floor of Yodobashi Camera, so it's very convenient to get to. The interior is mainly table seating with a bar-like counter as well. This time, since we went for lunch, we opted for a combination of the lunch sets and individual items. [Lunch Sets] - Traji Salad Lunch - Stone Bibimbap Lunch [Individual Items] - Chuck Flap Tail (3 servings) - Harami - Fillet (1 piece) - Samgyeopsal [Drinks] - Draft Beer - Craft Beer The lunch sets were quite generous in portion size, so my family of three shared the salad and stone bibimbap. The meat was all thick and plentiful, and seemed like a good amount for the price. We grilled it carefully on the gas stove at our table and enjoyed it! The gas stove was convenient as it didn't make our faces hot like charcoal grills do. We were satisfied with the fresh, thick cuts of meat, and finished off with the samgyeopsal. The samgyeopsal comes with more vegetables than the number of meat slices, so it's better to order it early. The condiments and seasonings provided were also a nice touch. After a satisfying meal, we went to pay. My wife and son kept adding more meat, which made me slightly anxious... But the total bill came out to just over 10,000 yen. Wow?! (pleasant surprise) Despite adding extra meat and beers, the bill was quite reasonable. I thought, should we come back again? The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, the food and cost performance were satisfying, and my son is already saying he wants to eat meat again, so I'm considering returning.

First time visiting this place. The seared harami sushi initially tasted like eating regular grilled meat and rice, but as I continued, the rare texture and sushi rice started to stand out. I tried the salted tongue, tongue tip, white sauce seared harami, upper harami, and three types of horumon. The tongue here is thick-cut, unlike the thin slices I'm used to. I found that grilling it thoroughly made it more delicious. The tongue tip was tough, probably because it's closer to the base, and it was cheaper than the tongue. The harami was tender and delicious, with the upper harami being even softer. I particularly enjoyed the harami, which suited my taste. I'm not used to eating horumon, but it had a sweet taste from the fat and was quite enjoyable. It seems a bit pricey if you eat a lot, so I might use it for a quick bite when I want to take advantage of its proximity to the station.

Before shopping at Yodobashi Camera, I had lunch at Yakiniku Toraji to fill my stomach. The lunch had a good amount of food, the meat was not smelly, and the lean meat was delicious. The price was reasonable. However, the staff was slow to take orders and the food took a while to arrive. Even when I ordered a refill of beer with half left, it didn't come quickly. There were also order mistakes, and the staff didn't seem rushed or apologetic, which was disappointing.

I had lunch here! I was craving yakiniku, but I also wanted some side dishes. I searched around but couldn't find a place that offered both a variety of side dishes and a good amount of meat. However, the set at Toraji was perfect! It came with 4 types of meat, side dishes, kimchi, and soup - I was completely satisfied! The seating was also great, with each table separated by a grill, giving a sense of privacy. The restaurant had a luxurious feel, and I felt like I was treating myself to something special even in the middle of the day.

The staff's service was excellent. They were well-dressed and had a sense of cleanliness, and their customer service was polite, which I really appreciated. I have been here multiple times and the consistent quality of service always makes me feel at ease. The meat was delicious, with a strong charcoal flavor, and even a small portion was satisfying. I would definitely like to visit again.
