Umaru "Griddle Force Itsuraku" As a gourmet blogger, I like to visit as many different restaurants as possible, but I tend to frequent my favorite ones. One of my favorite spots is "Griddle Force Itsuraku," located a 4-minute walk from Umaru Station. The sophisticated atmosphere inside the restaurant is lovely. While there are private rooms available, I recommend sitting at the counter. The refined design is perfect for a date night. The teppanyaki dishes are skillfully cooked right in front of you, adding a lively element to the dining experience. The food and drinks flow smoothly, making conversations more engaging. I previously wrote about this place in my 6th article! A hidden gem dining spot in Umaru, "Griddle Force Itsuraku"! I always look forward to the appetizers, and this time it was horsehair crab! Is it already that season? The presentation was meticulous. Each person gets half a serving, which is a delightful appetizer. Served with ponzu sauce and sudachi for an extra touch. The menu changes depending on the season and daily ingredients. (Prices and portion sizes may vary slightly, for reference) Cucumber with miso sauce - 600 yen Crisp and refreshing cucumber served with a sesame-flavored minced meat sauce. Addictive and delicious. Tartar steak with baguette - 1500 yen Tartar steak served with Tasmanian mustard on a garlic-rubbed baguette. Perfect for wine pairing! Croquette potato salad with half-boiled egg - 600 yen A unique crispy croquette potato salad. Mix it with the half-boiled egg for a fun twist. Deep-fried blackthroat seaperch - 1200 yen A generous portion of fatty blackthroat seaperch, deep-fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Squeeze some lemon and dip in tartar sauce for a delightful experience. Eel with Parmesan cheese - 2500 yen In addition to teppanyaki, you can also enjoy charcoal-grilled dishes. Rolled omelette on the griddle - 500 yen A rolled omelette made on the griddle right in front of you. A great performance and a tender finish with a hint of ginger. Shirasu (whitebait) peperoncino with karasumi (bottarga) - 1600 yen A delicious pasta dish to end the meal. Spaghetti with whitebait peperoncino topped with karasumi for added richness. Snow crab tomato cream pasta - 2200 yen And last but not least! My favorite snow crab tomato cream pasta. When it's on the menu, I always order it. The rich tomato cream sauce with the flavor of crab is divine and satisfying. A must-try pasta dish! We ate a lot and drank a lot with four people on this day, so the bill was quite high, but I think it would be around 6,000 yen per person for a regular meal. With this ambiance and the quality of the food, I believe it offers great value for money! Highly recommended.

On a regular day, I had a training nearby and decided to have lunch based on my mood. Feeling like having meat, I chose to go for steak! I arrived around 12:15 and found that there were 5 out of 10 counter seats already occupied by other customers. The staff, consisting of 2 members, had a very dry attitude, but it was okay. I ordered a 150g steak set and decided against adding cream croquettes or fried horse mackerel as my stomach couldn't handle it. The steak was cooked on a hot plate and served with rice and ginger soup. I love ginger, so I was very happy with the soup. The steak was decent in quality and tasted good. The portion size of 150g was quite filling. The sauce was tasty, but I thought it would have been better with a homemade green onion ponzu sauce. Overall, the lunch was speedy and had good value for money. Thank you for the meal!

You can enjoy a steak lunch at GRIDDLE FORCE. It seems to be pronounced as "Gridle Force". They offer steak lunches in different sizes: 150g for 1000 yen, 225g for 1300 yen, and 300g for 1600 yen, which is quite reasonable. You can also add cream croquettes, oyster fry, horse mackerel fry, and pork cutlet for extra fun. This time, I had the 150g steak lunch. It comes with salad and ginger soup. The meat quality is average, but at this price, there's nothing to complain about. The 150g portion feels generous with plenty of meat. I think I would be very satisfied with the 300g portion. The ginger soup and salad are also delicious, making this lunch a great deal. If you're craving meat, this is the place to go. It seems like it would be good for dinner too.

I found this place online and decided to go check it out right away! I was interested in their steak lunch, which is limited to 20 servings. I was seated at the counter where they cook the meat right in front of you. The steak comes in three sizes - S, M, and L, and the menu recommended the M size, so that's what I ordered. When the dish arrived, it smelled delicious! The rare steak was tender, and the tangy sauce with coarse black pepper added a nice flavor. It was really delicious! A few minutes' walk from Karasuma Station. Today, I had lunch here. The interior has only counter seats and the lunch menu includes daily specials and steak sets. I ordered the steak set in a small size (150g). Let's dig in! The steak is cooked right in front of you. It's lean meat with hardly any fat, but the texture is tender and good. The sauce is slightly sweet. Maybe they made it that way because the meat is low in fat. I chose the small size this time, but if you want a hearty meal, go for a medium or larger. Anyway, thanks for the meal! The prices around here are reasonable, so it's quite easy to visit casually. If you're in the mood for meat, this place is worth a try.

I had a lunch set limited to 20 servings. I chose the medium size (225g) for 1250 yen, with wasabi (+50 yen) and extra rice (+100 yen), totaling 1400 yen. I found the portion of meat to be larger than I expected, but the amount of rice was small, so I ordered an extra serving. I think it would be better if they offered a larger size of rice for an additional 50 yen. The meat was cooked on the teppan grill right in front of the counter seats, and it was delicious with good value for money. The only downside was that I found the attitude of the staff a bit concerning.

I've been curious about the steak lunch limited to 20 servings during the day at the teppanyaki dining restaurant "GRIDDLE FORCE. Itsuraku" for a while, so I visited for the first time. I ordered the Medium size. The steak is cooked on the iron plate in front of the counter, which makes you hungry while waiting. When the steak arrived, it was thinly sliced with salad. It looked stylish and delicious. When I tried it, the sweet and savory steak sauce complemented the meat well. Plus, with 225g, it was quite filling. The sauce also goes well with rice. I should have ordered the large size. The ginger soup was also delicious, and the cost performance was good. It's a great restaurant that seems like it would be good for dinner as well.

Located a 5-minute walk from Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway, this restaurant is easy to find. Just a short walk east from Karasuma Street on Takoyakushi Street. There is no parking available. Look for the sign outside the unassuming building that reads "Steak Lunch is back." The interior has a cozy atmosphere typical of a teppanyaki restaurant, with a counter seat where you can watch the meat being grilled. There are also private rooms available in the back. During my visit around noon on the weekend, the restaurant was not crowded, with two groups seated at the counter and one group arriving later. I ordered the Steak Lunch M 225g for 1250 yen including tax, with an additional topping of shrimp fry for 250 yen including tax. The lunch menu only offers steak, with a choice of steak sauce or ponzu sauce. The meal comes with rice, soup, and salad. The meat was lean and surprisingly tender, with no unpleasant odor. The taste was decent. The shrimp seemed to be frozen, but for the price, I was able to eat my fill of meat. If you order the L size for 1500 yen including tax, you can have 300g of meat, but the M size was just right for me. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

During my lunch break at work, I went with two colleagues to this place without a reservation around 12:00 on a Saturday. Surprisingly, we were seated right away, unlike other places that were full. We ordered the Steak Set in size L for ¥1,500, without sauce but just salt and pepper. It was exciting to watch the meat being cooked right in front of us. The lean meat was tender and juicy, and even though I was worried about finishing the L size, it was easy to eat even for a woman. The presentation was nice, making it even more delicious. I thought it was a great deal to have lean meat for lunch at this price. I was concerned that the meat might be tough at such a low price, but it was actually delicious and satisfying. The only thing that bothered me was that the restaurant was a bit dim. They serve quickly, so it's recommended for a luxurious work lunch. There is counter seating, so it's also good for dining alone.

On March 11th, four of us went to Griddle Force Ittaku for lunch. Today is my partner's birthday. We enjoyed a luxurious lunch with steak while having lunch. I had a plain steak with salt, pepper, and grated ponzu sauce on the side. The other three had steak sauce. We had beer and red wine. Finally, we had cheesecake. Thank you for the delicious meat again today.

I went to GRIDDLE FORCE Itsuraku for lunch alone on February 9th. I have visited this place for dinner several times, but this was my first time for lunch. It is located on the north side of the intersection of Shijo Takoyakushi. The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the teppanyaki steak. Although you can enjoy steak with wine at night, I resisted and ordered the steak set in size M, 225 grams for 1250 yen. I had the tender red meat cooked medium rare. The portion was more than it looked, and I felt like "I've had my meat fix." Having steak cooked in front of you for lunch is really luxurious. I will work hard even in the afternoon with a slightly rich feeling. Thank you very much.

The taste is solid. The flavors of the ingredients are well brought out. In the lowest course, only meat is served. The person who seems to be the manager has a somewhat careless attitude towards other staff members... It's a counter seat, so it's hard not to notice and deduct points for that.

Visited in September 2019 at 12:30 with 5 other guests. The restaurant had a rating of 3.30 on Tabelog (based on 12 reviews). We decided to have lunch at a teppanyaki restaurant near Karasuma Station. Although their main dish is steak, we were in the mood for curry that day. I ordered the "Beef Tendon Curry Set" which came with salad and a light ginger soup. The curry had a mild taste and the beef tendons varied in texture, from firm to melt-in-your-mouth. Overall, it was a typical European-style curry and I look forward to trying their steak next time.

When considering the quality of the meat and the cooking process, it seems like you need to pay around 3000 yen for a satisfying steak lunch (although there are times when you pay that much and end up disappointed). Is smoking allowed in private rooms? I sat at the counter and noticed a slight smell of smoke.

I visited around 12:45 on the last day of the three-day weekend. I was able to sit at the counter seat. There was a private room-like space near the entrance from the counter. I asked if I could reserve the private room for two people, but was told it was not possible. The steak set 150g for 1000 yen was very delicious, and I felt it was quite a deal for that price. I definitely want to visit again. There is also a service to change rice to cabbage, which I thought was a nice touch for the restaurant.

At the end of the year, I went to a restaurant with my parents and there were five of us. We arrived for our 6 o'clock reservation, but the restaurant was closed, which gave a bad first impression. However, we were led to a private room at the back of the counter, which had a nice hidden feel and a stylish impression. We ordered the "FORCE Course" which included black wagyu sirloin and grilled lobster, with all-you-can-drink option. The meal included appetizers, soup, salad with Kyoto vegetables, and was delicious with generous portions. The cost performance was excellent! I would like to use this restaurant for a girls' night out as well. Our last meal of 2018 ended with great satisfaction! Thank you for the meal♡

The other day, I happened to come across a shop that caught my eye on my way to work. I felt like having a hearty meat meal for lunch, so I made a reservation over the phone and visited the restaurant on the same day. From the reservation to entering the restaurant, it took only about 30 minutes, and when I arrived at my table, there was a personalized message card waiting for me. I was truly impressed by this wonderful gesture. The lunch menu included steak sets in 150g, 225g, and 300g sizes, pork cutlet set, chicken nanban set, beef tendon curry set, and assorted cutlet set. Of course, we both ordered the steak set, and after discussing the size, we both chose the 225g option. Before the food arrived, we ordered a draft beer (500 yen) to enjoy as a prelude. The beer was served in an elegant glass, almost too fancy to drink in one gulp - a bit of a shame. When the food was brought to us, we were amazed by the generous portion! The meat was piled high, and when we peeked underneath the vegetables, we found a massive amount of meat! The portion size was more than satisfying. The flavor was excellent, with the meat cooked beautifully to a medium doneness, offering a rich and tender taste. However, I felt that the sauce could have been a bit more subtle to allow the flavor of the meat to shine through (I apologize for being presumptuous). The restaurant has an open kitchen, so we could see the staff preparing for the evening (on that day, they were busy with lobster and we had a good laugh). We had a great time and enjoyed our meal. A certain youtuber recommended this restaurant in their video, so I decided to try it for lunch. It seems like it transforms into a steakhouse and bar at night, as there were liquor bottles displayed. The location of the restaurant is easy to find, but the staircase to enter is very narrow. When I went on a rainy day, I was the first customer at the 11:30 am opening time, and there were only about 30 minutes before another customer arrived. As for the menu, I ordered the "Steak Lunch 300g" which costs 1600 yen for 300g, which is quite cheap compared to the market price. The quality of the meat was lean with no marbling or fat. It was sliced like roast beef, so it didn't have a very substantial volume. The sauce was pre-applied, which was not very appealing. It was a normal soy sauce-based sauce (similar to a certain commercial steak sauce). However, eating 300g of it can become monotonous and boring. This restaurant allows you to choose the amount of meat, but the reason why they recommend the 200g option on the menu became clear. The evaluation of the dish depends on how you view the price of 1600 yen for 300g. It might be considered a good cost-performance ratio for those who love meat and want to eat a lot for a low price. However, for those who prefer high-quality cuts like sirloin or ribeye and want to enjoy even a small portion, they might be disappointed.
