I was drawn by the cheap price of 1800 yen for the happy hour from 5:30 to 6:50 on weekdays, so I went there. Unfortunately, it was raining ☂️ and it was a light rain, so the event was not canceled, but it was a beer garden with umbrellas. The staff lent me an umbrella and a towel, so I didn't get wet. Well, this is also a fun memory. The food was similar to other beer gardens and not particularly delicious, but it's nice to have a happy hour deal.

Today, I went to a beer garden in Kyoto with my cool colleague and praise expert, Dosukoi Nice Guy! The location was on the rooftop of the Kyoto New Hankyu Hotel in front of Kyoto Station. The view from here was nice, with Kyoto Tower right in front of us. After paying at the reception, we were shown to our seats. We listened to some instructions and then cheered with a glass of draft beer! The automatic beer dispenser really got me excited! There were typical beer garden dishes available, so choosing what to eat was a chance to show off your taste. I made my own original plate with curry, sausage, persimmon seeds, and croutons. It's fun to drink and chat at a rooftop beer garden, isn't it? But, I realized I couldn't eat as much as I thought I could, feeling my age catching up with me. Well, after a good amount of drinks, it's time to move on to the next place in Kyoto! Thank you for the meal!

We used it with 150 people, but there was no consideration for the first drink. We lined up at the beer server with 150 people. The view was great, but the food was average. It was a bit disappointing for a prominent sign of the New Hankyu Hotel. The standard fried potatoes, sausages, edamame, frozen fried chicken, and frozen takoyaki. The roast beef for the happy hour was delicious. I didn't know the last order time for drinks. I couldn't hear if it was being announced. After the last order time, they didn't even offer water. Probably won't go again.

The great location with a view of Kyoto Station and especially the impressive Kyoto Tower right in front of you is breathtaking. Sitting on the rooftop of a 9-story building, feeling the summer breeze while enjoying a meal must be amazing. However, the reality at the buffet counter is quite harsh. The dishes displayed on the warming trays lack any appeal, resembling school lunches. What's disappointing is the huge gap between the menu photos seen on the website. Shocked, I couldn't really enjoy my meal. Hopefully, next year there will be improvements in the food quality or menu photos.

Around the time after the Bon festival, I visited a beer garden with my colleagues. We had made a reservation in advance, and since it was a Monday, it wasn't too crowded. We were instructed to wait in front of the private elevator that led from the first-floor lobby to the beer garden. After we had paid in advance, we were guided to our seats. We received a beer mug in exchange for a voucher and toasted to start the evening. I don't remember the brand of beer we had, but there was also black beer available. The beer was automatically poured when we placed our mugs on the server, but there were also manual servers available. The food selection was decent, considering it was a beer garden. I had a couple of regular beers, then tried the black beer for the third drink, and for the fourth, I tried mixing half and half with the manual server. It was a bit tricky to get the right balance, but it was delicious, so I was happy with it. I ended up having a total of five drinks before it was time to leave. The weather was nice that day, not too hot, with a pleasant breeze, perfect for a beer garden. I would have liked to relax a bit more after finishing my drinks, but the staff reminded us that our time was almost up. Even though there were empty seats around, I understand they have time limits. Overall, I was satisfied with being able to visit the beer garden this year.

Beer garden. I love beer, but I'm not someone who willingly goes to beer gardens. The main reason is that the food is not delicious, and except for the first drink, the beer is not that great either (laughs). However, I do end up going to beer gardens a few times every summer, and this time I went because a friend was staying in Kyoto for a business trip. The price varies depending on the season. In July, it was 4100 yen. They serve Kirin, Suntory, and Budweiser beer. They also have highballs. They even have a Ladies' Day to attract female customers. It was a typical beer garden, just as I expected. If you're going to Kyoto, there are nicer beer gardens in Kamishichiken, so I didn't think this one was particularly great. This is just my personal opinion.
