First visit! I've been wanting to go to this place for a while now! Reservations are a must. The drink menu is excellent, especially the selection of sake. They will choose for you based on your preferences and provide detailed explanations. The food is perfect for pairing with sake, including bonito, edamame, stick chicken, and rolled omelette. Plus, they're open until late at night! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It was a very welcoming and pleasant shop! The staff carefully explained the sake and were really nice! I liked the style of choosing the ochoko cups. The dishes had interesting names that made sake drinkers excited, and they were delicious! I'm curious about the other dishes too, so I will definitely be a repeat customer!

A house-like restaurant that looks like a renovated old Japanese house. If you sit at the counter, you can see the cooking process. They offer new combinations like bean sprouts x myoga x mackerel miso x eggplant, as well as clam x Chinese broccoli. The food is delicious, and they have a decent selection of sake, which is nice. However, the one-bite sukiyaki really is just one bite, which was a bit surprising.笑

It was past 11 o'clock but there was still one seat left, so three friends and I went in. None of us were drinking yet. The potato salad was delicious, with the shiso leaves not too overpowering and the sliced onions doing a great job. I couldn't eat the marinated squid liver or the celery with nam pla. The dish with Kujyo green onions and ponzu vinegar flavor was next on my list, but when I tried to order it, a group of five new customers started smoking, so we changed restaurants (laughs). I hadn't checked if the restaurant allowed smoking.

The restaurant is open until 3 am, and it's a popular place with almost full seats around 11 pm. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud, and it's a fun place to be. The main dish is teppanyaki, but they have a variety of menu options. Recommended dishes include Beef Tendon and Daikon Stew for ¥600, Mushroom and Squid Salty Ahi-jo for ¥850, and Pork Flat Grilled on Skewers (2 skewers) for ¥800. The Pork Flat Grilled is the most popular menu item and it's delicious with fluffy eggs and tender pork. I also had grape juice as a drink. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to trying more teppanyaki dishes next time.

I had a funeral in Kyoto. For lunch, I chose Taiwanese cuisine, but when I arrived, the restaurant was closed. Unable to find any other appealing dining options nearby, I reluctantly decided to enter a Japanese-style restaurant. However, despite the sandwich photo on the storefront sign, the menu seemed to offer more than just regular sandwiches. The restaurant had recently started lunch service, so there was not much information available. The menu included three types of sandwiches: Celery, Kiwi, and Vinegared Sardine Sandwich; Fava Bean, Snow Pea, and Kettle-boiled Whitebait Sandwich; and Homemade Tuna Niçoise-style Potato Salad Sandwich. I ordered the Potato Salad Sandwich for takeout and the half & half option (+50 yen) for the other two sandwiches. I was surprised by how well the ingredients complemented each other, like Kiwi and Vinegared Sardines! Who knew that basil leaves would go so well with whitebait! It felt like they were serving creative dishes in sandwich form rather than just sandwich fillings. In the end, deciding on the last piece was a tough choice because they were all so delicious! Additionally, the Potato Salad I received as a service for the wait was incredibly tasty, especially with the generous amount of homemade tuna.

I made a reservation and visited a restaurant in Kyoto that uses local ingredients. The food was delicious, and they had a variety of Japanese sake. Some of the dishes I enjoyed were spicy watercress salad, grilled tofu, and potato salad with pickled vegetables. The only drawback for me was the background music in the restaurant, which was a bit off (HiSTANDARD). I love their music, but it felt a bit out of place in the restaurant (probably because the owner is around my age, haha).

We were a group of four girls who dined here. The restaurant is small, so I recommend making a reservation. They have a menu similar to okonomiyaki, which was very delicious! The portion size per dish is not very large, but it is reasonably priced, so we were satisfied with our meal.

You can enjoy creative Japanese cuisine in a stylish atmosphere renovated from a traditional Kyoto townhouse. The selection of Japanese sake is impressive and pairs well with the food. I was surprised to find a rare Soga Pere et Fils. The staff is very friendly. Every dish was delicious and the unique Kyoto atmosphere makes it a place I would recommend to friends visiting Kyoto.

I visited this shop as the second stop during my night time in Kyoto trip. I was able to get a seat easily even though it was a bit late, and the restaurant was actually full (so lucky!). Since I was already full from the first stop, I decided to just order some appetizers. I got the Skewered Potato Salad, Grilled Ginkgo Nuts, and Deep-fried Tofu with Grated Radish. I also ordered some drinks. The Skewered Potato Salad could have had a bit more skewered potatoes maybe? (I like the taste of skewered potatoes). The Grilled Ginkgo Nuts were grilled on an iron plate and the meat was big and juicy, very satisfying! Perfect with shochu. The Deep-fried Tofu with Grated Radish, I usually don't like tofu or soybean products, but surprisingly it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, perfectly grilled and delicious! The staff was very energetic and had fun conversations, and my friend recommended the staff, so they treated everyone to a drink each, making us all laugh. It seems like all the staff love drinking, and that's why the food is delicious and the service is so pleasant. I recommend sitting at the counter rather than at a table.

When I came to Kyoto, a friend took me to this place! First, the exterior and interior are very beautiful and stylish, a so-called Instagrammable restaurant. I was wondering what to drink, and then I saw it... What is this? Charikin Sour?! Intrigued, I decided to order it! I tried the sudachi sour ♫ I drank it while crushing the sudachi with the stirrer! The refreshing scent of sudachi is irresistible ^_^ We also ordered some unique dishes like a bite-sized sukiyaki, avocado and tomato, dried blowfish, smoked onions, etc. They were all delicious in just the right amount, and we were able to enjoy both the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food!

It was a bit hard to find the place, but the front of the store had a stylish open glass design. The atmosphere inside was like a hidden gem. I was seated at a table in the back. I ordered the recommended drink, the Sharikin Sour. It had an interesting texture but was a bit difficult to drink. The sherbet melted quickly, diluting the taste, making it hard to enjoy. The presentation was good. The food menu consisted mostly of dishes to go with alcohol, making it a good place for a small group to relax. It might be a bit cramped for a large group. I would consider going back with a smaller group next time.

My cute character male friend from the same company wanted to go to a restaurant! We thought it was close to Shijo, but it was actually closer to Gojo! When we arrived at the restaurant, we found a stylish bar renovated from an old Japanese house. We started with a Sharishin Sour, a combination of sherbet and sour that is Instagram-worthy! The dried blowfish was delicious without any unpleasant smell! Sometimes there are places with a strong smell that I avoid, but this was a hit! The other dishes were also delicious, especially the yakisoba! The yakisoba, eaten by dipping it in the sauce, was exquisite! It seems like it could become a trend!

Tonight's drink was at a teppanyaki restaurant. It was my first time at this place and I liked that they have a style where you can choose sake from the refrigerator. "Saku" from Mie was delicious, but I also enjoyed the bold flavor of "Gikyou" from Aichi. It had a strong impact and the richness of the rice really came through, which I liked. I was able to meet some great drinks again tonight. There were so many appetizers that looked good with the drinks, I couldn't decide. I heard you can also order half sizes, which sounds nice, right?

I finally got to go and it was delicious! I had a fun night drinking sake! It was just crowded and my stay was short, so it was a shame!

I have used it several times, so I often use it as a second place because it is open late. The menu is also rich and there are different menus depending on the day, so I never get bored. I will go again!

This is a popular izakaya in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. The bright and welcoming atmosphere is great, and everything you eat is delicious. The salted motsu stew with daikon and konjac, and the stir-fried dish with hollow heart vegetable and pork belly are must-tries. You just have to drink here!
