The end of the first day of the Kyoto trip in November 2020 was at Derailleur BrewWorks' flagship store "Stand Umineko Koto" for craft beer! We visited Kyoto Imperial Palace, Hosomi Museum, Shoku no Ki, Tanpopo, Kinkaku-ji, Daikaku-ji Shajuan, Rocking Chair, TAKAYAMA, and finally Umineko Koto. I was exhausted and had already had cocktails, wine pairings, and a full meal, so I didn't have much room left for more drinks. Despite that, I managed to make it to Umineko Koto. There were over 30 taps available, but surprisingly only 19 were connected, with the rest being guest beers. I was surprised by this as it was a flagship store of Derailleur. I saw a beer from TSUREZURERENAISSANCE, a Single Hop Pale Ale style, which I believe was only available at the Derailleur flagship stores in Osaka and Kyoto. Unfortunately, they served it in plastic cups, which was a bit disappointing. If it wasn't for that, I would have rated it over 3.5. My overall impression was more about feeling full and a bit tipsy, so I apologize for not being able to provide more detailed feedback. I had hoped to enjoy a drink with the gentle ladies there, but I was too uncomfortable and had to leave after just one drink. What a shame. The places visited on this day were Kyoto Imperial Palace, Hosomi Museum, Shoku no Ki, Tanpopo, Daikaku-ji Shajuan, Bar Rocking Chair, TAKAYAMA Kyoto, and Stand Umineko Koto, totaling 5 restaurants/bars plus sightseeing. The total distance walked that day was over 20km, and when I opened Pokémon Go at the hotel, all my eggs hatched at once. Laughing out loud!
