It's been a while since I last visited. I only had about 15 minutes, so I had some fried liver skewers and surprisingly, some fruit liquor. The freshly fried liver skewers here are the best! Actually, everything here is delicious and great value for money! When it gets a little colder, the oden here is also amazing. I'll definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time as my second stop. The atmosphere was open and nice. I ordered a beer and after a while, a server came to my table without being called. When I said I didn't call them, they understood and left (which felt a bit strange). I then ordered the plum cartilage as a snack. After taking my order, they told me, "It's one order per person." I replied, "I'll order more later!" I like to take my time looking at the menu! I felt like the server was pushing me to order quickly. Even though it's common for restaurants to have a one-order policy, this was the first time I experienced such aggressive service. Good customer service is the most important aspect of any restaurant, no matter how good the food is! The male server who was trying to attract customers was very friendly! We ordered two items and left.

I went to a standing bar in Kokoro Kiya-cho. Overall, the quality of the food was high and delicious. Personally, I really enjoyed the tsukune skewers with cartilage in them and a salty sauce. The Kyoto yuba sashimi was also great and I liked that it could be ordered quickly. If you're looking for a casual standing bar experience, Kokoro is the place to go! Thank you for the meal!

Heart@Kyoto "Tatsumi" left and headed to the second restaurant. I easily found the place this time, as I had asked for directions at the previous restaurant. However, when I approached the intended restaurant, I encountered a problem. Oh no, the shutter is down. It seems like "Kyogoku Stand" is closed today. As I got closer, I noticed a notice. It turns out it's the last day of the three-day weekend. I had to change my plans and go to the backup restaurant. It's getting dark as the sun sets, so I need to find a restaurant quickly. I took a detour, but finally arrived at the restaurant. This is a standing bar called "Kokoro." It has a different atmosphere from "Tatsumi" and seems relatively new. Let's go inside. The whole place is standing-only, and I was seated at a table in the back. There were about three other customers, so it's quite empty. I couldn't find anything appealing on the menu, so I settled for a chu-hi. There was a middle-aged man sitting at the counter, talking on his phone. It was a bit annoying as it went on for quite a while. Normally, talking on the phone in a restaurant is considered rude, but maybe it's okay here. We're outsiders, so I decided not to say anything. Another customer answered a call outside the restaurant. Our appetizer arrived - what seems to be fish namero. It's an interesting choice for a standing bar. The second dish was "Nitori," which was advertised as "more than worth the price." The third dish was "Pork Motsu with Sansho Pepper," but the motsu was a bit tough. After some discussion, we decided that we had had enough and asked for the bill. We paid and left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

The next restaurant was decided, so I thought I would have a drink at Momiji until the time, but it was full... I went to the affiliated store Kokoro instead. I ordered a light drinking set and, ugh, the white roe ponzu of mullet. It was my first time trying mullet roe, and it was delicious, similar to pufferfish roe.

It was around 3 PM, but there were already several people there and it was bustling. I thought I would just have a light drink, but the lean meat and beef were so tender and delicious that I ended up drinking more. The menu is also extensive, so I plan to go back next time for a proper meal and drinks!

I felt like making a little detour on this Monday and ended up at Shijo Kawaramachi, where it was quite busy with people. I stumbled upon this place that had an open spot, so I decided to check it out. It was my first time here, but I was impressed by how spacious and nice the atmosphere was considering its location. I stood at the counter and ordered a highball. Looking at the menu, I noticed they had chicken liver sashimi. It showed confidence in handling fresh ingredients. They also had a variety of fresh fish. This time, I ordered the chicken liver sashimi and one side dish. The fresh liver was delicious and went well with my drink. Even in the bustling area, there are still good places to discover. It's a great spot for a quick detour, a solid first stop, or even another place to visit.

I was looking for a standing bar and stumbled upon Kokoro in a small alley! I ordered their specialty "Egg" and various other dishes, enjoying leisurely drinks. It was a great time, and the cost performance was excellent! I definitely want to go back for some more drinks.

This is a cozy izakaya near Kawaramachi in Kyoto! There are a couple of tables in the back as well. On this day, we decided to stop by here for a quick drink without wasting any time. They have a great selection of fresh seafood at a good price. We tried the "Choi Nomisetsu" set which includes sashimi, simmered dish, and a drink for only 880 yen. We didn't have high expectations due to the price, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The sashimi platter was excellent with mackerel, scallops, tuna, and seaweed. The taste was fresh and delicious. The "oden" dish had a good variety including egg, fish cake, and beef tendon. It was different from other oden places and tasted really good. The drink options include beer, which went well with the food. Overall, the Choi Nomisetsu set was very satisfying. This place offers great value for money, just like in Osaka. We would love to visit again. Thank you, Savannah in Lion! #Japan #Kyoto #ChoiNomisetsu #SavannahinLion 🦁❤️

Visited in March 2022. At the time of posting, the restaurant had a rating of 3.26 on Tabelog based on 71 reviews. The "Choi-nomi set" for 900 yen (tax included) includes a drink (400 yen or less), assorted sashimi, and a daily dish. Located about a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, "Tachinomi Kokoro" is a standing bar where I stopped by for a quick drink. Although it is primarily a standing bar, there are a few table seats at the back. I ordered the perfect "Choi-nomi set" which includes a drink under 400 yen, assorted sashimi, and a daily dish. Some may be surprised by the portions in the photos, but please note that they are for two people. The sashimi, including tuna, mackerel, and scallops, was delicious and reasonably priced. The "oden" with eggs, fish cakes, and beef tendons had a rich flavor and was tasty. This place is now on my list of recommended spots for a casual drink in the area. Thank you for the meal.

Hello everyone, good job Messi ♡ Because of you, I couldn't sleep well~ (´◁`) Ohohoho Congratulations to all the people of Argentina--------clear line--------End of the year and New Year's holiday Osaka-Kyoto 3rd day Night First place <Spend the New Year's holiday in Kyoto> So, with my friends from Osaka, Kwa and I happily entered Kyoto♪ During the day, we decided to do some light sightseeing in Kyoto, visiting popular tourist spots like Nanzenji Temple and Kiyomizu Temple. Nanzenji Temple is usually extremely crowded during the autumn foliage season, but this time there were fewer people, maybe due to the influence of the coronavirus. However, Kiyomizu Temple was super crowded haha People really gather where there are attractions (^▽^;) After that, we checked into our usual hotel in Shijo Kawaramachi and, feeling tired from sightseeing, we sought some energy at "Kokoro" with the two of us♪ This place is a popular standing bar, so we expected it to be busy and indeed it was packed! People really do gather where there are attractions (^∀^;) Now, here's what we ordered today: Small drinking set - 900 yen Celery pickles - 280 yen Ham cutlet - 250 yen Bottled beer - 490 yen The sashimi in the small drinking set was enough for two people, which was fine, but the daikon radish that came as a dish for the day was apparently meant for two people haha They should have at least served it in separate dishes for the two of us... But I guess it's understandable since the restaurant was busy. The menu was really diverse though. Well, let's go to the next place. Thanks for the meal ===========

A few minutes' walk from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. I stopped by here today. The interior of the store has only standing drinking seats and the menu is mainly seafood and chicken. I ordered a 900 yen set for a light drink, which included: - 1 drink - Sashimi platter - 2 skewers First, the beer arrived. It was served in a well-chilled glass with smooth foam. The sashimi platter was well-prepared. The skewers took a bit of time to arrive as they were grilled after ordering, but they were served hot, which was good. However, one of the skewers was chicken skin, so it might not be to everyone's taste. I personally like chicken skin, so it was no problem for me. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! The food menu mostly consists of items priced below 500 yen, making it a convenient place for a light drink.

This is my second time here. It's a standing bar, but they also have a few table seats which is convenient. I don't have much time, but I want to have a beer quickly. I ordered something that seems like it will come out quickly. I got raw oysters with ponzu sauce for my partner. I also ordered fried chikuwa with seaweed flakes, the outside coating was crispy but the inside (the hole in the chikuwa) was undercooked and gooey. When I ordered a second drink, they served it in a sparkling wine glass. It seemed a bit unusual, but maybe that's normal here. I appreciate the quick service, but this time was a bit disappointing. The staff were friendly though.

First of all, because I'm an old man, I can't help but get annoyed by the so-called "ra-nuki" language. If I see an expression like "a shop where you can eat liver sashimi," I just have to laugh. That being said, standing bars are really struggling during the coronavirus pandemic. This chain is even doing crowdfunding to manage their finances. Personally, I think that while everyone is going through a tough time, it's pretty obvious which industry is facing the most challenges even for non-investors. So, if that's the case, isn't it just normal to support the shops you usually frequent? It's not often you find a standing bar that serves liver sashimi, especially in white liver. The size of the scallops is also impressive. I truly think their corporate efforts are amazing, and the fact that they are struggling with attracting customers makes me wonder if customers are being too selective. Just some food for thought in every sense.

When there's chicken sashimi available, it's lucky. Chicken liver sashimi is also delicious. By the way, the power balance of standing bars in Kyoto has calmed down quite a bit, so let's organize it here before we forget, please bear with me (laughs). - Momiji Group: If you like seafood and fresh ingredients, this group is for you. The customer base is relatively wide, and you don't have to worry too much about etiquette. - Working-class Group: Including BOND and Kyobashi Working-class, this group focuses on being extremely cheap, so if you want to get drunk at ridiculously low prices, this is the group for you. There are celebrities among the regulars, and the customer base is unique, but on the other hand, it may have some quirks. - Suiba Group: Clean and cheap, but not a lot of food and the focus is more on cooking methods and genre for attracting customers. - SNS Group: Popular in Facebook groups but not as prominent on Tabelog Island. It's a mixed bag with different preferences, but some restaurants are even rated higher than working-class or momiji group. In reality, I think there are some like that too. That's the general idea. Goodbye.

In the vicinity of Kiyamachi Street in Kyoto, I was recommended to try this restaurant after being turned away from a standing bar called "Momiji" due to order stop. Later, I also visited "Misaki" and was once again recommended to try this place as it is a sister store. The restaurant is spacious with standing counters and tables, providing a relaxed atmosphere for standing and drinking. The place is smoke-free, which is a plus, and it stays open until 2 am on weekdays, making it a convenient spot for late-night outings. They offer a variety of drinks and reasonably priced food options. I tried dishes like Nanohana and Chicken Breast with Mustard Dressing, Potato Salad, Squid Somen Salad, Cheese Omelette, and Pan-Fried Dumplings with Salt Sauce. The food was delicious and the restaurant was bustling with groups even late at night. It's a convenient and popular spot to visit.

I visited during New Year's. Just remembered it now. It's a standing bar, so I had a quick drink. Since it was New Year's, I had about three cups of sake, sorry for being vague. It was nice to receive a free gift. I ordered the New Year's menu: kazunoko, ikura, and itawasa. Also had conger eel tempura and spare rib stewed dumplings. Cheap, fast, and delicious. I was very satisfied.

Kokoro is a standing bar with some table seats. On Tuesdays, it's ladies' day with specials like 250 yen for drinks such as beer, chu-hi, and highball for women. I ordered a beer and some delicious snacks like raw oysters in ponzu sauce, white fish tempura, and a crab meat set. The Love Pink shrimp sake caught my eye, and it was surprisingly pink and smooth. It uses a special red sake yeast that glows during fermentation, resulting in a slightly sweet and easy-to-drink sake. They also have discounts on Thursdays for sashimi and a free boiled egg. They'll be open during the New Year holidays too. Overall, it was a great experience!

Cocoro, as usual, I've been going there occasionally, but when I went on the day of the Arima Kinen horse race, all the customers were glued to the TV, which surprised me a bit (laughs). And apparently, a strong horse lost, causing a lot of excitement, while we ate horse meat and shared some fake stories. The customer base is a bit old-fashioned, but it's non-smoking and the seafood dishes are good. I'm not sure why I prefer Momiji-san a little more. The only downside is that during quiet times, the chef cooks alone, so the service can be a bit slow. But it seems to thrive on a customer base that doesn't complain. Recommended♪

(From a blog post) Today, I was drinking with my gym friends. As a final stop, we went to a standing bar in Kawaramachi. Standing Bar Kokoro seems to be popular for its affordable drinks. The atmosphere inside is lively and bustling, with lots of people. We started with a toast. Soft drinks were only 200 yen. Cheap (^-^) We decided to try the specialty of this place. - Egg (Double): Scrambled eggs on a hot plate, with toppings like cheese, mentaiko (spicy cod roe), nameko mushrooms, sake flakes, or seaweed. We chose two eggs with mentaiko topping. Mix it with a spoon and you get a delicious scrambled egg with a nice salty kick from the mentaiko. - Sashimi Platter: A mix of salmon, octopus, and another fish (maybe yellowtail or horse mackerel?). The salmon had a nice fatty texture. - Cabbage Omelette: My friend ended the meal with this B-grade gourmet dish. We had a lot of fun today once again. Enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the standing bar.
