I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. This shop is located one floor below other grocery stores, but there is a constant flow of customers coming in and out. I ordered a table roll, a plain scone, and Earl Grey tea. All of them seemed to be popular items. The table roll had a crispy outer layer and a fluffy inside, with a strong buttery aroma but an elegant taste. It was perfect as a meal bread. The scone, typical of a bakery, was moist and fluffy with a nice hint of sweetness. It was bite-sized and seemed like a great accompaniment to tea. The Earl Grey tea had a strong aroma, and both the scone and tea were delicious, comparable to those from specialty shops. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I used takeout. When I went around 4 pm on a weekday, the cafe was full so I opted for takeout. There were plenty of scones, so I chose tea and raisin scones. When I got home, both were delicious with great flavors! The tea had a very refined taste and was enjoyable. The raisin scone had a good balance of buttery aroma and raisins. The cafe also seemed to have a nice atmosphere, so it's a place I'm interested in.

I came to Nihonbashi and visited this place that I thought was delicious last time. I bought plain scones, soy milk bread, and the bread in the photo. I haven't tried the soy milk bread yet, but this time it was delicious, though not quite impressive. There was a line for eating in, I'd like to try it.

I bought some bread at the Fortnum & Mason concept shop located in the new building of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. This shop has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. I was drawn to the Brioche Sucre, priced at 238 yen including tax. It is a brioche bread topped with vanilla sugar and butter, giving it a rich flavor. The Table Roll (Cheese) priced at 130 yen including tax was also very flavorful with a rich cheese taste. This shop is a hidden gem in the new building, with a decent selection of products even in the evening. I look forward to trying out different types of bread next time.

I was attracted to the beautiful display and ended up buying a few items such as bacon shrimp, table rolls, French bread with cheese, and walnut bread. They were all delicious, but the one that stood out was the French bread with cheese. It had a slight burnt crust, but the taste of the bread and cheese made it unnoticeable. The bread had plenty of processed cheese and cheddar cheese, giving it a satisfying flavor despite its small size.

Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store B2F Selected as one of the top 100 bread shops ◇ Closed on the same days as Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Store ◇ Credit cards and electronic money accepted
F&M is famous for its tea. I wanted to use the cafe, but my stomach was not feeling well, so I decided to get some takeaway items that are easy to carry. When I entered the store and looked at the showcase, I saw the sticker of the top 100 bread shops in front of the scones. The deli bread also looked very delicious! I purchased the following items:
◆ Plain Scone (324 yen) - A simple British-style scone. It had a moderate sweetness, and I enjoyed it with butter and jam to my liking.
◆ Earl Grey Scone (324 yen) - It had an elegant aroma. I spread some honey on it.
[Overall impression] It is one of the top 100 bread shops, but I didn't quite feel the goodness of the wheat. It wasn't bad, so next time, I will try the deli bread that looked delicious for a redemption. Thank you for the meal.

Fortnum & Mason is actually a department store that mainly sells food products, not just a tea shop as I mistakenly thought! It's like the Italian Peck or Mitsukoshi in Japan, right? I visited the Fortnum & Mason at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, which mainly offers bread and tea. I couldn't decide what to buy, but I ended up focusing on the scones displayed in the showcase. The plain scone was labeled as "No. 1 popular" and the tea scone was labeled as "featured on TV." They also had melon bread and English muffins that looked delicious, but I decided to try the scones. The texture of the scones was soft and somewhat similar to bread. My favorite was the tea scone, which had a lovely Earl Grey aroma. The sweet potato flavor was also rich and tasty. Personally, I prefer denser scones that require a drink to go with them, so the texture was a bit different from what I like, but I recommend it for those who prefer softer scones!

I met with friends and we traveled to Mitsukoshimae where we split up. I visited a famous tea shop that I had been wanting to go to for a while. I had tried their high-quality tea before and that's how I found out about this place. This time, I bought some bread: "pain au chocolat" and "scone (plain)". The chocolat had a crispy texture that was delicious. The scone had a crumbly texture that just melts in your mouth. Truly, these are the real deal scones.

Fortnum & Mason, a popular tea shop known for its tea, is located in the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store. When it comes to England and tea, scones are always a favorite. Unfortunately, when I visited, the scones were sold out due to a British event being held at Mitsukoshi. Usually, you can purchase scones even in the evening, but not this time. There are 5 types of scones available, but I had to settle for buying 2 types of bread instead. The bread was fluffy and had a hint of sweetness, making it delicious. Although I couldn't get scones, the bread made for a nice snack as they were small in size. If you plan to have them for breakfast or dinner, I recommend buying 2 pieces per person. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

I had a scone for the first time in my life, which cost 324 yen. It was small and I was surprised. It was a hard bread with a subtle sweetness. It was tastier than I expected. It's a bit expensive, so I probably won't buy it again. I also bought a morning roll for 108 yen and an English muffin for 152 yen, which were not expensive.

Second visit. This time I bought the red tea scone (324 yen), table roll with walnuts (130 yen), and ham and cheddar cheese French bread (290 yen). The scone, being a signature item, may seem a bit pricey, but overall, I think it's a satisfying shop with good value for money.
Red Tea Scone: The Earl Grey aroma is subtly fragrant, not overpowering, and goes well with clotted cream. It's delicious.
Table Roll with Walnuts: An orthodox table roll with a hint of walnut fragrance. It's not boring, and goes perfectly with butter. It might be good for breakfast.
Ham and Cheddar Cheese French Bread: The taste is as expected, but the pepper is quite strong. The French bread has a good chewy texture and provides a satisfying feeling of fullness, making it suitable for lunch.

I have visited the cafe attached to this bakery a few times, but this was my first time using the bakery. To be honest, I underestimated British bakeries thinking that their food is not delicious, but I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased a Garlic French (¥180) and a Pain au Chocolat (¥240). The Garlic French had a chewy baguette with plenty of basil paste and garlic butter. The basil aroma and saltiness were just right, and I really liked it despite being a bit tough to chew. The Pain au Chocolat had a buttery croissant with a flaky texture, but unfortunately, there was not enough chocolate filling for its size. It was a bit disappointing, but still delicious. Considering the price, I guess it's not too bad. Overall, I found the pricing to be fair, and I would like to try other breads as well.

I went around 3 pm on a regular day. The plain scones were already sold out, but there were a few raisin scones left. They were moist, with a deep flavor and sweetness that spread in your mouth. They are small but satisfying.

Located a 3-5 minute walk from Mitsukoshimae Station is the Fortnum & Mason Concept Shop Bakery at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. Operating on the 2nd basement floor of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi, this bakery offers a convenient array of delicious-looking bread. It was selected as one of the top 100 bakeries in Tokyo in 2022. The prices are reasonable for a Tokyo bakery, making it easy to visit. With a variety of attractive bread options, you might find yourself buying more than you planned. This time, I tried the Croque Monsieur and the Beef Onion Curry Pan. The popular Croque Monsieur, ranked No.3, combines a generous amount of béchamel sauce and cheese with soft sandwich bread, creating a smooth and slightly sweet taste. The Beef Onion Curry Pan, topped with cheese and onions, also impressed with its balanced blend of rich and sweet curry flavors with the acidity of the cheese. This bakery is a must-visit while shopping at Mitsukoshi, so be sure to stop by. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I went to "Disney100 THE MARKET in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store" with my daughter. Even while waiting in line for the parking lot, we saw some impressive cars and regular customers being welcomed in their cars. The parking attendants were very polite, which got my daughter even more excited. After waiting for about 30 minutes, we finally parked and headed to the "Disney100 THE MARKET" to do some shopping. We also decided to stop by the "Fortnum & Mason Concept Shop Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Store" to buy some morning pastries. Since it was already around 3:30 pm, most of the popular scones were sold out except for the raisin ones. We asked the staff for recommendations and ended up buying the raisin scones, a French bread with adzuki beans and chestnuts, and a French bread with pepper ham and cheddar cheese. The total cost was over 2000 yen. The French bread with adzuki beans and chestnuts was delicious with a good amount of beans and a sweet taste. The French bread with pepper ham and cheddar cheese had a nice kick from the black pepper and the ham and cheese complemented each other well. The staff mentioned it would be a great snack with alcohol, and they were right. The quiche, although a bit pricey, was also exceptional. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience.

I visited the store just before noon on a regular day. There were many types of bread available, but I chose to take out three types of scones: plain, pineapple, and tea (each 280 yen + tax). The pineapple flavor was a limited-time offer. Despite being at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, the prices were relatively reasonable, which made me happy. I forgot to take a photo, but I also bought some tea as a souvenir. It had been a long time since I last shopped at Fortnum & Mason, as I usually only buy tea at British airports during layovers. The tea was delicious.

Established in 1707 in the UK, the over 300-year-old department store "Fortnum & Mason" is known for being a purveyor of tea to the British royal family and the birthplace of the Scotch egg. Located in the basement of the Mitsukoshi department store in Nihonbashi, this establishment offers cafes, shops, and the option to purchase bread and scones. I decided to try their simple "Plain Scone (280 yen tax included)" as scones are a must when it comes to British cuisine. The scone had a modest and gentle sweetness without any unnecessary elements, showcasing the strength of tradition. It felt like the right choice. I look forward to pairing it with a cup of tea next time for a truly elegant experience. [Visit Date/Time] Friday (Sunny)/3:20 pm [Queue] None [Amount Spent] 853 yen

Established in 1707, the famous British tea shop Fortnum & Mason sells a concept bakery supervised by Chef Katsuei Shiga, known for pioneering low-temperature long fermentation at the time of opening. Here, you can enjoy simple and unpretentious British pastries such as scones (237 yen), crispy croissants (281 yen), and plain morning rolls (108 yen) that are closely tied to British tea culture. I ordered scones, croissants, and morning rolls. The total came to 626 yen, and I enjoyed them with Earl Grey (even though it's Twining's ☺️) milk tea. It was delicious. Having them with milk tea just makes you feel happy, doesn't it?

Inside Mitsukoshi department store, there is a bakery that has gained popularity. It was quite crowded, as expected. I ordered a croissant and an apple pie. The latter was the last one available. Well, to be honest, it wasn't anything particularly special. Both items were of decent quality. The total price of 500 yen, excluding tax, seemed reasonable, considering it is one of Japan's top department store bakeries.

On my day off, I went shopping and decided to visit a shop recommended by a friend. It's a tea brand that is appointed by the British royal family. They not only sell tea leaves but also bread and jam. They also have a tea room where you can relax and enjoy a cup of tea. I bought a "Pain au Chocolat" and an "English Melon Bread" this time. The English Melon Bread is shaped like a rugby ball. The surface of the bread is crispy while the inside is moist, creating a perfect balance and delicious taste.

The French bread with corn inside was delicious, but when cutting it, the corn tended to fall out, making it a bit messy to eat. Maybe a regular corn bread would be better. [Access] Located on the 2nd basement floor of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. [Good points] Both the bread and the corn were delicious.
