Perfect for a break! There are plenty of seats (benches) where you can sit freely. I enjoyed a mandarin orange shaved ice while relaxing. Thank you very much. It was delicious. They also had a half size option for the shaved ice, but I chose the regular size. The simple ice with a light mandarin syrup and fruit pulp on top was really good. It was just the right amount for me, considering the heat and thirst. I would like to visit again next summer.

After visiting Entoku-in, I took a break at Fuyunami located near the exit. I had mitarashi and warabi mochi, along with matcha tea. It only cost 1000 yen for everything, which was a great deal. The taste was amazing, both were soft and melted in your mouth. The mitarashi had a nice roasted aroma, while the warabi mochi came with two flavors - matcha and kinako powder. The eat-in space was spacious and highly recommended.

I was lured by the scent of freshly baked treats and ended up buying Mitarashi dango. It was incredibly soft and chewy, and tasted delicious. I was surprised that it wasn't too sweet, making it easy to eat. The slight burnt aroma was nice. I tried dipping it in kinako powder, but I preferred it without as the burnt flavor was delicious on its own. The warabi mochi was also just the right amount of gooey. I had the black sugar kinako flavor. Thank you for the meal!

The dango is small in size but easy to eat with a crispy texture. They reheat it so it's slightly warm. There were no grass mochi dango, but the mitarashi kinako dango was delicious! The set with warabi mochi, dango, and green tea was a good deal. The cold matcha was refreshing and tasty even without sugar! The staff were friendly and the shop was very polite.

I went there because it was featured on TV. It was around 12 o'clock on Saturday, so it wasn't too crowded. I had a chilled matcha for 350 yen and ate mitarashi dango. My friend had one each, but I had two. Eating it with kinako powder was the best, I wanted three more...

In front of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, there is a dumpling shop. The mitarashi dumplings are made to order, so you can enjoy them warm. They have a soft and chewy texture, and go well with the sweet and salty mitarashi sauce. They also sprinkle plenty of soybean flour on top. They also sell green tea and sakura flavored soft serve ice cream, which you can enjoy in the shop or take away.

I purchased these dango at a department store's Japanese food exhibition (*^^*). I had never tried Kyoto dango before, so I'm looking forward to it (*ˊ˘ˋ*)。♪:*° The mitarashi with kinako and anko is different from Kanto mitarashi, which is a bit salty. The Kyoto mitarashi is sweeter. The anko is lightly sweet, completely different from Kanto dango. The size is smaller and more elegant. Thank you for the delicious treat (*ˊ˘ˋ*)

I found Fumika while walking along Kiyomizuzaka in a rental kimono! The Kyoto dango here is really delicious! I went at a quiet time, so I sat inside and had a break with a cold matcha and dango. It really felt like I had come to Kyoto! The curtain at the entrance was cute, so I took a picture. The dango here is chewy and the matcha is rich and delicious.

I stopped by a famous shop for mitarashi dango near Ginkaku-ji during a day trip for a meal gathering.
- I tried their mitarashi dango.
- Perfect for a snack time with family or friends.
- The food was delicious, especially the mitarashi dango.
- The interior of the shop has a clean and cozy tea house feel.
- The customer service was average.
- Convenient parking location near Ginkaku-ji.
- The prices are reasonable.
- I have visited before and it's a good place to stop by.
- I would recommend this place if you're in the area. Enjoy a nice time sipping tea and eating delicious mitarashi dango.

It was a super sunny day, and even though I was walking with a parasol, I was sweating a lot. I just wanted to cool off somewhere, so I came here. I wanted to eat dango, but it was too hot, so I got shaved ice instead! The summer orange shaved ice was refreshing, quenched my thirst, and cooled down my body. My first shaved ice of the summer♡

First visit✨ Just in time for opening hours and it was empty❣️ I had this place on my wishlist so I decided to stop by♫ I ordered first and then paid☺︎ I want to try both mitarashi dango and chadanmochi~❗️ Perfect for someone like me who is greedy, they have a pair set(*´꒳`*) You can add more from just one order⤴️ You can choose between hot or cold, sweetened or unsweetened for the Rakusui (Kyoto water). I chose a warm unsweetened Rakusui✨ It was rich and delicious, perfect for Japanese sweets❤️ They bake the mitarashi dango after you order it✨ So it arrived steaming hot~‼️ The mitarashi dango is not too sweet and the kinako powder adds an elegant sweetness, delicious❤️ The chewy texture makes it disappear in an instant! haha The chadanmochi is also chewy and delicious❣️ Stopping by was the right choice(๑>◡<๑) Thank you for the meal❤️

Today, I went to the Higashiyama area in Kyoto. I had some time before my scheduled appointment, so I decided to stop by a Kyoto dango (sweet rice dumplings) shop.
Kyoto Dango Fujinami seems to be a popular dango shop with a main store on Sannenzaka. I visited their store in front of Kodai-ji Temple on the "Nene-no-Michi" street. Near the entrance, they were grilling the dango, and they offered freshly grilled dango. Their most popular item is the Mitarashi Dango. You can buy 3 pieces for 350 yen, and you can add extra pieces for 100 yen each.
When I ordered the Mitarashi Dango, the staff grilled it right there. The dango looked delicious with a nice grilled color. The dango was soft and chewy, and it stretched when I bit into it. The sauce was sweet and salty, really stimulating my appetite. They also provided kinako (soybean flour) on a wooden boat-shaped plate.
After enjoying the dango, I felt like I could easily eat another plate if I didn't have plans for a meal later. It's a great option for a light snack while visiting Kodai-ji Temple.

Skipped lunch, went to a cafe ☕️, and ended up having mitarashi dango! They served it freshly baked, with plenty of sweet soy sauce drizzled on top. It was really delicious. Cafe lunches are great! My choices as an older man are changing!

When I came to Ginkakuji to see the autumn leaves, I saw Mitarashi dango in front of me and it looked delicious, so I decided to go in. It was crowded with people on the weekend, but since everyone was just taking a short break, there were some empty seats here and there. I ordered a set of 2 Mitarashi dango and a matcha drink for 500 yen, and received it promptly. The Mitarashi dango was small but the combination of sauce and roasted soybean flour was perfect! I chose the unsweetened matcha drink, but I couldn't really taste the depth of the matcha flavor... maybe my taste buds were dulled by the sweet treats. They also sell warabi mochi (expires on the same day)! I think it's a good place for a quick snack.

The shop is located at 463-24 Shitokawara-cho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, open from 10:00 to 18:00. They offer a set of chilled matcha and freshly grilled mitarashi dango for 500 yen. The dango is grilled carefully in-store, so you can enjoy them freshly made. The dango balls are small, the sauce is mildly sweet, and the texture is chewy, which I really enjoyed! After walking a lot that day, it was a dish that helped me relax and heal my tiredness.

☆Mrs. and I went on a casual lunch trip (extra edition)!°[Trip to Enkakuji Temple in Kyoto, featuring the Three-Faced Ashura Statue ③]: After reflecting on the Three-Faced Ashura Statue at Enkakuji Temple and finishing our visit, we stepped outside feeling a bit tense. I realized my throat was unexpectedly dry, so we decided to stop by here for a drink. $ Order! ※"Cold Matcha Tea, Unsweetened" for 350 yen... 3.3: They also have sweetened options, but I chose unsweetened since I needed to quench my thirst the most. ・A mild and easy-to-drink matcha tea that anyone can enjoy. It soothed and refreshed my throat♪ ・Thank you for having us and for the delicious tea. The Final Review: It's very convenient that they sell bottled drinks without having to enter the shop. The cold temperature of the drink was also much appreciated. We will definitely visit again.♪ Thank you very much for always liking, saving the restaurant, and following. If possible, I would be happy if you could recommend other great restaurants in the comments section! ・Thank you all for your continued support. ===========

I visited Kyoto for a friend's memorial service. Since I was there, I wanted to explore some traditional places I have heard about before. Of course, it was a natural thing to do. I ordered a regular Mitarashi dango skewer. It was quite small, but delicious. It was a perfect snack for a walk.

I tried the mitarashi dango at Nene no Michi. It was a Sunday, so the restaurant was about 90% full, but takeout orders were handled smoothly. The dango was soft and warm, perfect for the cooling weather. It didn't have a special feeling, but the delicious kinako powder was just right.

I came to visit Kodai-ji Temple to see the autumn leaves. I was a week late... the leaves had already started to fall. Just like last year, I seem to have missed the peak time for autumn leaves again. I didn't come across any vibrant autumn colors recently. After walking around, I felt tired so I took a break and enjoyed a delicious rice cake. The rice cake I had was quite tasty. I stopped by while exploring Kodai-ji Temple. The taste of the sauce was good, the mitarashi rice cake was delicious. I didn't have any particular thoughts about the cleanliness of the restaurant. The service was a bit lacking, with too many customers causing the staff to be a bit careless. I parked at a nearby coin parking lot. It's a tourist spot, so the prices are expected to be higher. If I come to Kodai-ji Temple again, I would definitely stop by this place. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars.

[Order] Mitarashi dango, matcha warabi mochi, and matcha [Impression] The mitarashi dango was piping hot, with steam rising from it. The texture was soft, and it had a nice hint of charred flavor. The matcha warabi mochi came in two varieties: matcha and kinako. Even when cold, it remained chewy and was of good quality. I chose unsweetened matcha ice cream, which was refreshing and helped cool down my tired body after a long walk.
