Located in a residential area with trendy shops just a short walk from Sangenjaya Station, this pancake shop opens at 11:30 AM. I arrived a little early and wrote my name on the board to wait. When it was time, we were guided in one by one. Right by the entrance, there is a kitchen where pancakes are cooked, with counter seats for a view. Towards the back, there are about 7 white wooden tables with comfortable-looking sofas and chairs, creating a stylish atmosphere. Since I was alone, I could choose my seat freely without being assigned to a small table. The staff even recommended spacious seats to couples who sat at a two-person table. Couples and groups of men kept coming in, and before we knew it, the place was full. Many people ordered lunch sets with their pancakes, which came with a generous serving of fresh green salad. I had the VoiVoi Special Pancake for 110 yen. The pancakes were fluffy like sponge cake, topped with plenty of vanilla ice cream and light whipped cream. Maple syrup was served on the side for a sweet moment. After enjoying their pancakes, everyone quickly cleared their tables without lingering to chat. It seems that considerate people visit considerate restaurants. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had the VoiVoi Lunch Set, which included pancakes with salad and soup. The pancakes were classic buttermilk pancakes with 100% pure maple syrup. The pancakes were fluffy and soft. However, I wish they had given a bit more maple syrup as it ran out halfway through. The standout was the delicious soup. I'm glad I got the set.

[Initial Visit on September 21, 2023] Just to the right after exiting the "Minami-guchi A" of Sangenjaya Station, head into the back alley. Turn left at the first corner and you will see the shop on your right. It was a quiet day, so I finished work early and decided to visit this shop, the last one on this year's list of Tokyo's top 100 dessert shops. I arrived around 3:30 pm on a weekday. There were only two female customers inside. Since it was my first visit, I ordered the "Voi Voi Special Pancake" and an iced coffee. The pancake arrived after a 12-minute wait, followed by the iced coffee 2 minutes later. The pancake was stacked with three layers, topped with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, and maple syrup on the side. The menu described it as "buttermilk pancake," but to me, the texture was just average, lacking that special touch compared to other top dessert shops I've visited. Even with maple syrup, it didn't stand out. The vanilla ice cream and whipped cream were also ordinary. Mixing them all together, it was sweet and heavy, more like a meal than a snack. The iced coffee, on the other hand, was simply delicious. Perhaps the shop's popularity lies in their seasonal specials or additional toppings that I didn't try. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it didn't meet the high expectations I had for a top 100 dessert shop. With this visit, I've completed the list of Tokyo's top 100 dessert shops for this year. Thank you for the meal.

A pancake specialty shop located a few minutes' walk from Sangenjaya Station South Exit. When I arrived at 2:00 pm, there was a signboard in front of the store, but it seemed that the lunch rush was over as there were only two groups of customers ahead of us. We sat at a spacious table for four. We ordered: - Salted caramel and banana pancake for 1150 yen - Iced coffee for 460 yen The pancake consisted of three layers with butter spread on the dough. It was decorated with bananas, kiwis, and sprinkled with nuts. Warm salted caramel sauce was served on the side, along with two round vanilla ice creams. The combination of pancake and vanilla ice cream was delightful. It had a simple and homely taste with a well-balanced flavor. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

Visit on 2023/09/13 (Wed) at 15:38. The restaurant was about half empty, so we were seated right away. It seems that there may be a wait depending on the time even on weekdays. Four items, including the limited edition fig pancake, were sold out. I ordered the Special Pancake (1,100 yen) and Iced Tea (460 yen). At 15:56, the items arrived. The pancakes were indeed delicious! However, I didn't feel as impressed as I thought I would eating them at the restaurant. The ice cream was a bit heavy, and I felt that the pancakes alone tasted better. Perhaps a different topping would have been better...

Once a month, after going to the beauty salon, I have an early lunch. Exiting the south exit of Sangenjaya Station, I turn left at the corner of Mister Donut, and the restaurant is on the right at the end of the street. I arrived 10 minutes before opening on the weekend, and was able to get in on the first round with only one group ahead of me. By 11:30, it seemed to be full, but there was no line outside when I left. I ordered the "Blueberry Pancakes" (1700 yen) and a "Hot Coffee" (410 yen). You can choose between pancakes with or without butter, with melted maple butter or pure maple syrup, and I went with the recommended option of pancakes with melted maple butter. The pancakes are of a normal size, but there are three layers, so they are quite filling. You can sprinkle melted maple butter, top with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and blueberries, making it fun to enjoy in various ways. They have an English menu, so it's foreigner-friendly, and they can accommodate families with young children, making it a great place for a comfortable dining experience.

I visited the restaurant "VoiVoi" in Sangenjaya, which is one of the top 100 dessert shops in Tokyo with a rating of 3.70 on Tabelog. The exterior blends in well with the surroundings and looks stylish. Inside, there are mainly table seats, creating a cozy atmosphere. They offer a variety of delicious pancakes, and I tried the Special Pancake, which was piled high with buttermilk pancakes, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, maple syrup, and butter. It was a delightful treat and perfect for satisfying a sweet craving. Overall, it's a great place to visit.

This is a nostalgic taste. It reminds me of the thin version of the hotcakes my mom used to make when I was little. While I can make something similar at home, there may be something special about eating it here. I thought it might be a bit different to come all the way to Sangenjaya just to eat this.

I went to Pancake Mama Cafe Voi Voi in Sangenjaya to eat pancakes. I made a reservation for 11:00 on weekends, as it is only available right after opening. When I arrived just before opening, there were many people in front of the shop. When the shop opened, the staff called out my name. The interior of the shop is mainly table seats, with a very calm atmosphere. Looking at the menu, there were not only sweet pancakes, but also pancakes with toppings that seemed like they could be eaten as a meal. I ordered the Voi Voi Special Pancake with hot coffee. The pancake, with the shop's name stamped on it, was served with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. I drizzled maple syrup over it before eating. The pancake had a soft and chewy texture, and tasted delicious with the cold vanilla ice cream and refreshing sweetness of the whipped cream. The sweetness of the vanilla ice cream enhanced the flavor, and the scent of the butter spread on the pancake stimulated my appetite. The pancakes were not very thick, so even though there were three of them, I finished them quickly. Drizzling maple syrup added a change in sweetness and aroma. The warm, slightly bitter hot coffee helped reset the sweetness of the pancakes. It was a very delicious pancake. Next time, I want to try it with different toppings.

This is a restaurant in Sangenjaya that serves "Buttermilk Pancakes". They offer fluffy and light pancakes made with buttermilk (buttermilk: milk with low fat content left after making butter from cream). They also have a menu for children, and it is a popular restaurant with waiting lines on weekends. It opened in August 2006. The location is about a 2-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station South Exit A. When you exit the station, turn right, then turn left at the first block and it will be on your right. Reservations are accepted by phone, but only after 11:30 or 13:00 on weekdays, and at 11:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. I visited last in May 2010. It was already a popular restaurant back then, but I managed to avoid the crowded times and didn't have to wait to be seated. I had the Buttermilk Pancakes. I also visited their sister store, mog in Namba in October 2017. Upon revisiting in the afternoon around 1 pm, I was seated promptly without much wait. The seating consists of counter seats near the entrance and table seats towards the back. The restaurant was about 60% full when I entered, and a few reserved customers arrived later. The distance between tables was not too close, and the chairs were comfortable with cushions. The overall atmosphere was pleasant. The service was friendly and welcoming. The menu includes: - Lunch set (weekdays 11:30-14:00) - Pancakes (from 750 yen) - Kids Pancakes (510 yen) - Hotcakes (weekdays only from 14:00) - Salad (weekdays only, 650 yen) - Soup (440 yen) - Drinks (from 410 yen) I ordered the following: - Lunch Set A (+1,000 yen) which includes pancakes of choice, salad, and soup - Classic Buttermilk Pancakes (750 yen) with whipped butter and 100% pure maple syrup The salad was fresh and colorful with a variety of vegetables and a tasty dressing. The soup of the day was a delicious mushroom potage. The Buttermilk Pancakes were fluffy and light, with the perfect balance of sweetness. They were served with whipped butter and maple syrup. The meal was satisfying, and the overall experience was enjoyable.

VoiVoi is located just 3 minutes from Sangenjaya Station. It was popular during the pancake boom about 10 years ago. The name "Voi Voi" means "oh my" in Finnish. I tried their Special Pancakes for 1,100 yen, which came with 3 pancakes, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and 100% Canadian maple syrup. The pancakes were delicious and not too sweet, suitable for both dessert and meal. The iced coffee was average. The place is popular among locals and families with small children. Congratulations on being selected as one of the top 100 restaurants!

I had a day off during the week, so I decided to visit Sangenjaya after a long time. The first place I visited was "Pancake Mama Cafe VoiVoi", a long-standing establishment in Sangenjaya known for its pancakes. Despite being a weekday, the place was quite crowded. I managed to secure the last seat available for lunch. The interior had a counter where you could watch the kitchen, as well as table seating towards the back. It was predominantly women, with me being the only exception. I was seated at the large central table. Initially, I was torn between the "Classic Pancake" and the "VoiVoi Special Pancake", but I opted for the latter as I thought the toppings would make it more interesting. The order took about 30 minutes to arrive due to the busy kitchen. The VoiVoi Special Pancake (1100 yen) consisted of three layers of buttermilk pancakes topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and maple syrup. The pancakes were fluffy, slightly warm, and had a traditional taste. The vanilla ice cream and whipped cream added richness, complementing the sweetness of the maple syrup. The portion of three pancakes was generous, and the simple yet delicious pancakes would appeal to anyone. In addition to the regular pancakes, they also offer dessert pancakes and savory pancakes, providing a variety that keeps things interesting. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station, this restaurant was not too crowded when I arrived around 4:30 pm on a weekday. Despite the name including "Mama," it seems that many families with children visit during other times. I ordered the Classic Buttermilk Pancakes for 750 yen with a discount of 50 yen for 2 pancakes, and an Iced Tea for 410 yen with a 50 yen set discount. The pancakes arrived in about 10 minutes, served with whipped butter and 100% pure maple syrup. The pancakes were soft, the whipped butter was rich with a strong salty flavor, and the maple syrup was not too sweet, making it easy to eat. The restaurant's gentle and delicious flavors make it a place I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

I visited during the usual lunch hours and found that the restaurant was already full 15 minutes after opening. The pancakes take about 15-20 minutes to be served, depending on the order. As a result, there were about 2 groups waiting when we left. Each group may spend around 30-50 minutes there. I tried the voivoi pancakes, which were delicious. However, since pancakes are something that can be made at home, I don't place too much emphasis on taste = uniqueness, so I would rate it a 3.3. Overall, it's a good option for a restaurant where you don't have to wait in line for too long.

I have been to Voi Voi in Sangenchaya many times for drinks, but I have never tried their sweets or cafes before. I visited around 4:30 pm on a weekday in the last week of August. I ordered the Classic Butter Pancakes (2 pieces for ¥700) with a set of orange juice (¥400). Normally, the pancakes come in a set of 3 for ¥750, but I chose to have 2 pieces for a ¥50 discount. The pancakes were beautifully cooked with a nice brown color and had the Voi Voi logo on them. They came with whipped butter and 100% pure maple syrup. The dish was garnished with powdered sugar and served on a cute plate. The pancakes were delicious, and I regretted not getting 3 pieces. The orange juice was also 100% pure and tasty. The atmosphere of the cafe was stylish and cozy, and the staff provided friendly and attentive service. The aroma of the pancakes added to the feeling of happiness. I think families with children would also enjoy this place. The seasonal fruit-topped pancakes looked delicious as well.

I had fig pancakes for the first time this year. It was my first time actively eating fig sweets. The flavor was a bit lacking, even though they are called summer fruits. Perhaps they are compensating for that with caramel. I think this place is mainly for moms, so I had been ignoring it.

In Sangenjaya, there is a hotcake shop. I visited before noon on a weekday and was able to enter smoothly. The interior of the shop had many customers with children, making it family-friendly. I ordered the classic buttermilk pancakes. The dishes seemed to be made per table and were served in order. It took about 20 minutes to be served. The pancakes were stacked in threes, hot and fluffy. The buttermilk added a salty accent, and when topped with syrup, it was delicious. The atmosphere of the shop and the staff were great, making it a pleasant experience.

Today, I went to Sangenjaya to have my favorite pancakes! The shop is located close to the station, making it easily accessible. It's a cozy place tucked away in a back alley, where you can enjoy pancakes made with buttermilk. I often try to make pancakes at home, but they never turn out quite right, so I'm looking forward to trying them at a specialty store. I arrived around 12:40 on a weekday and was able to be seated without waiting. The atmosphere is nice, with a mix of counter seating and a few tables at the back, making it a comfortable place to relax. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's not the kind of place you'd expect to find a guy like me, but I enjoyed it. The menu mainly consists of pancakes, with the option to add toppings. They also offer a lunch set with salad and soup on weekdays. It's a great spot for a snack or a meal. They serve lemon water, which is a nice touch. Ordered Items: - Classic Buttermilk Pancakes (750 yen) The pancakes, which are slightly smaller in size, come with whipped butter and maple syrup. The outer layer is slightly crispy, while the inside is fluffy and soft with a gentle melt-in-your-mouth texture. The flavor is simple and easy to enjoy, not overly buttery. I could eat these pancakes all day. It's the perfect snack size, but if you want to keep enjoying them until the end, you might want some variety in flavor. Next time, I'd like to try adding some toppings. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

Located just a 3-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station, "Pancake Mama Cafe VoiVoi" offers freshly made pancakes that are mixed, rested, and cooked on an American-made griddle upon ordering. Established in 2006 as a pancake specialty shop, it has been a pioneer in the pancake boom. The "Classic Buttermilk Pancake" is made with domestically produced buttermilk, a blend of domestic and foreign wheat, rice flour, and aluminum-free baking powder, with only Hokkaido milk added instead of water. These fluffy and chewy pancakes, loved in America for ages, are made to suit Japanese taste buds. The signature dish is the Classic Buttermilk Pancake, served with 100% pure maple syrup from Quebec, Canada, and whipped butter with sea salt. Enjoy your meal!

I arrived around 1 pm on a weekday and there was no wait. I was able to enter the cafe smoothly. At the changing time of the lunch crowd, only the counter seats were available. I ordered the Voi Voi Special Pancake for 1,100 yen and an iced tea for 460 yen. There was a 50 yen discount for ordering the set. In just over 10 minutes, the cute-looking pancakes were served. They tasted great with the ice cream, whipped cream, and maple syrup. I enjoyed every bite until the end.
