京夏終空
Beer, sake, and tobacco, as well as bread, bento boxes, and Kyoto souvenirs, are all available at this Kiosk. The selection at Bellmart Kiosk was impressive. I found location bento boxes from Hosai in Uzumasa at the bento and onigiri corner. There were also items like Tanaka's persimmon leaf sushi from Nara. I bought some bread from Shizuya's bread corner along with some drinks and ate them in the car. I am from Kyoto. Along with Shinshindo, I have been familiar with Shizuya's bread since I was a child. However, while I have eaten their plain bread and French bread-like items quite often, I couldn't quite recall the taste of their more famous products. "Karne" (190 yen) - (laughs) Surely, this is one of the most famous breads in Kyoto, "The Kyoto Bread." I have definitely seen it around a lot. No, I have eaten it before, surely. Probably 30-40 years ago. (-_-;) I probably wasn't paying much attention to it back then. This time, when I actually ate it, I thought, "Oh, this is how it tasted." I feel like the taste of margarine and acidity was stronger, but the texture of the bread and the taste of the ham and onions seem unchanged. Embarrassingly, I realized it anew. (-_-;) "Katsu Mix Sand" (510 yen) - Shizuya's katsu sandwich, I really don't remember it much. It contains a katsu sandwich and an egg and vegetable mix sandwich. Honestly, it didn't strike a chord with me at all. No, it's quite delicious, but I have no memory of it. The texture of the katsu meat, the taste of the sauce... I discovered this taste anew as well. (-_-;) x2 In elementary school, I remember that the bread for school lunches was from Shinshindo up to a certain point. Trays of Shinshindo's bread were stacked in the school. However, that doesn't mean I was a fan of Shinshindo and ignored Shizuya. I think Shizuya's bread was also available in the pastry bread corner at supermarkets, for example. If you happen to see someone on the Shinkansen leaving Kyoto Station with a strange expression while eating bread, that would be me. Once you pass through the tunnel in Yamashina and then out of Yamashina, you are no longer in Kyoto. Have I been able to rediscover the forgotten tastes of Kyoto in Kyoto...? I bid farewell to the end of the Heisei era in Kyoto in the summer.
