Last time, I recognized that this pub is not really to my liking. But I couldn't think of anywhere else to go, so I decided to have a quick drink. Well, it's just not for me. I feel really uncomfortable here. Even though it's the same pub, why does it feel so different? Maybe my way of asking for a drink was wrong. When I asked, "Do you have something that's not sweet and carbonated?" I got a response like, "Huh?" and then silence for a while. Finally, I think it was a Gin Fizz that was suggested to me, so I went with that. Maybe I need to be more straightforward and just say, "I'll have this please." Sorry, I don't remember the names of cocktails. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. But if I describe the intangible feeling, my review might get rejected. I'll stop here.
In 2010, I visited an English pub located on the second floor of a building right next to Book Off. The place looked lively from the outside, and it was indeed bustling inside! There were a lot of group customers, many foreigners, and sports matches were being broadcast on big screens. They had a wide variety of beers and a good selection of whiskies, giving off a true English pub vibe. The wine was priced at 600 yen per glass, and bottles started from around 3,000 yen, offering decent wines for the price. I think the glass wine had a medium weight to it. They also had classic dishes like fish & chips and meat pies as snacks, making it enjoyable to cheer on sports games with a beer or pie in hand. However, as someone who doesn't watch sports, drink beer, or play darts, I didn't find the place very appealing (which makes sense). There were people drinking alone, but I felt out of place. It's recommended for those who enjoy being in a lively and noisy atmosphere with a large group of people.
