On the way back from buying groceries, it was dinner time. There were several yakiniku restaurants lined up along the road, so I was in the mood for yakiniku. The closest one was this restaurant. The parking lot was not completely full, but about 70% full. I felt a slight unease, but when I entered the restaurant, there were some empty tables. The restaurant had detailed information about the beef they use posted at the entrance, so the quality of the ingredients seemed promising. Unlike when I was younger, I find it difficult to only eat meat, so the presence of Korean dishes other than meat was a plus point.
☆ Mercian Free (780 yen) I actually intended to order sparkling wine, but when the staff asked, "Is it okay if it's alcohol-free?" I realized my mistake. It's a tasty juice. It has a wine-like taste (^o^)
☆ Tofu Stew (800 yen) Sundubu or tofu stew is something I often order. The taste of the broth varies slightly depending on the restaurant. The one at Iroriya had a mild beef-based broth (not too much seafood flavor) with a mild spiciness added, making it enjoyable even for those who don't like spicy food. It can also be eaten as a soup, so it goes well with rice dishes.
☆ Assorted top 3 sauces (3480 yen) The kalbi had a bit too much fat. Among them, the sirloin steak cubes had a wonderful balance of lean meat and fat, making it seem like you could eat as much as you wanted.
☆ Salad that goes well with grilled meat (680 yen) It arrived last among the various dishes ordered. The salad is topped with Korean seaweed and wakame, and dressed with shiso dressing. When the rich grilled meat starts to feel heavy, it's perfect for refreshing the palate.
☆ Samgyeopsal (1480 yen) The thickly sliced pork belly already looks delicious. As it is grilled on the mesh, the oil dripping from the belly falls onto the charcoal, creating flames! It looks like direct fire grilling. The pork belly, with the right amount of oil removed after grilling, is excellent when placed on chisha greens and topped with kimchi, gochujang, green onions, etc. The restaurant wasn't too crowded that day, maybe because of the Christmas holiday. The meat and side dishes are enjoyable even for adults with refined palates, and it's a yakiniku restaurant where groups of friends, family, couples, etc., can all have a good time.
