This is a long-established sweet shop in Negishi. They have a nostalgic Showa-era dessert called "Aveck Ice," which is a double scoop of red bean and vanilla. It's delicious even when sandwiched in a monaka. I also tried their Calpis shaved ice, which was affordable and tasty with syrup at the bottom.

Famous for traditional Japanese sweets and homemade ice cream. No wait during weekdays for lunch, with a clean and simple interior. Ordered the Cream Anmitsu for 650 yen. The homemade ice cream was refreshing, blending well with the anmitsu without feeling too heavy. Overall, a delicious and satisfying meal. Thank you.

The azuki ice cream with anmitsu in the photo costs 580 yen. The taste is delicious. The price is more affordable compared to other stores I have rated at 2.5, such as those selected as top 100 stores in Yurakucho. However, there is no significant difference in taste. Truly, going around top 100 traditional Japanese sweet shops is a battle against my own guilt of spending time and money in a place where there is no real distinction.

It is a review of a traditional Japanese sweets shop called "Amami Dokoro Imojin" located near Nezu Shrine in Tokyo. The shop has been in business since 1945 and is known for its delicious sweets. The reviewer ordered a dessert called "Kogane Ice Anmitsu" which is a traditional Japanese dessert consisting of red bean paste, agar jelly, fruits, and a scoop of green tea ice cream. The dessert was served with plenty of black syrup on top, making it very sweet and delicious. The reviewer enjoyed the dessert and found the price to be reasonable.

I went to Konaya and stopped by Imojin. Since I had just eaten lunch, I got a take-out anmitsu. It had plenty of agar jelly, black beans, and sweet red bean paste on top. I poured plenty of black syrup over it and enjoyed it. The black syrup mixed well and made the anmitsu delicious. You can also taste the refreshing texture of the agar jelly and black beans. I would like to try it at the store next time.

I arrived at the shop around 11 AM on Thursday morning. I usually get takeout from here, but since there were no guests inside, I decided to sit and eat slowly. I had the "Mamekan" for 480 yen. It was topped with plenty of black syrup, and there were so many beans that you couldn't see the agar. It looked great and was my favorite visual. It was delicious! I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal!

It was a hot day, so I decided to go for shaved ice! I initially chose the ice with sweet red beans that the person next to me had, but I couldn't resist the milk flavor, so I ended up getting the "shaved ice with sweet red beans and milk." There were plenty of sweet red beans at the bottom of the bowl, which was really delicious. On top, there was condensed milk. Mixing the red beans from the bottom and eating it together was amazing. Thanks to this, I was able to cool down. It seems like shaved ice is available until around the first week of October.

Payment is accepted with PayPay or cash only. The recommended menu item is the "Aveck Anmitsu" for 1360 yen. "Aveck" apparently means "couple" in the Showa era, so I think it comes with two ice creams. It's perfect for the hot summer, especially when paired with shaved ice. The only downside was that the shaved ice did not come with shiratama (rice dumplings). Lately, my favorite has been the "Uji Matcha Kinako Anmitsu" with shiratama, so that was a bit disappointing. The quality of the shaved ice itself was good. I visited on a weekday afternoon and there was no wait.

Today's third food stop. In between lunch, I had just the right amount of space in my stomach to finish off here. The shop has a unique name, which actually comes from its origins as a sweet potato shop. Now it operates as a dessert shop, selling items like sweet red bean soup and shaved ice. Today, I had the ice monaka that I had researched beforehand. They had vanilla and red bean flavors, but I was curious about the fact that they don't use milk, so I chose the red bean flavor this time. Payment with PayPay is possible. Ordered item: Ice Monaka - Red Bean for 140 yen. The monaka was crispy and fragrant, providing a comforting deliciousness. Monaka is definitely best when eaten right away. The red bean ice cream had a subtle sweetness and was refreshing. I didn't really taste much of the red bean flavor, but it was a simple and tasty ice monaka. It was the perfect size for a final treat during my food adventure. Thank you for the meal!

During this season, they are open on Tuesdays too, so I had my favorite combination of small chestnut ice cream and vanilla ice cream. It's called "Abekk Ice". The small chestnut represents red and the vanilla represents white, symbolizing the red and white colors. I hope I can keep enjoying this ice cream forever.

I visited "Imojin," a famous traditional Japanese sweets shop, located a 5-minute walk from Konan Station. I arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday and there was no wait, so I was able to enter smoothly. I ordered the "Abekk Ice" for 380 yen, which is a combination of small red bean ice cream and vanilla ice cream. It has a nostalgic Showa-era vibe. The small red bean ice cream had just the right amount of sweetness and was delicious. The vanilla ice cream had a familiar taste. I enjoyed it until the last bite.

This is a sweet shop run by a couple that is loved by locals. While their Monaka is famous, I ordered shaved ice because it was hot. I chose the Black Honey Kinako flavor for 680 yen. The contrast between the transparent ice and the Black Honey Kinako looked great. The ice was firm and traditional, while the nutty aroma of the kinako and the rich sweetness of the black honey were irresistible. The black honey was rich in sweetness but not cloying, so it was easy to eat. As I continued eating, I found plenty of black honey at the bottom, along with some agar jelly. The texture of the agar jelly added a nice touch to the ice. While enjoying the shaved ice, I saw some elementary school children coming to buy Monaka from the shop. The kind service of the couple made me realize why this shop is loved by the locals. If you enjoy traditional shaved ice or Japanese sweets, I recommend this place. (Please make sure to check the store information on their website or social media before visiting. Menu items may have changed.)

The shop changed from a sweet potato shop to an ice cream shop in 1923. Their specialty is the "Ice Monaka," where ice cream is put into a Monaka shell after ordering. The Vanilla Ice Monaka has a crispy and fragrant Monaka shell, with sweet and refreshing vanilla ice cream containing condensed milk and sweetened condensed milk. It costs 140 yen. The shop accepts cash or payment through PayPay. The first generation, Jinkan, founded the shop as a sweet potato shop in 1913. The second generation, Wasuke, changed it to an ice cream shop in 1923 after being scared by a big fire during the earthquake. The shop is currently run by the fourth generation, Hiroyasu. Their shaved ice is also popular for being affordable and having a wide variety of flavors.

I visited during snack time and had a red bean ice cream filled mochi. It cost 140 yen, but it was packed with ice cream and made me happy. The gentle sweetness and crispy texture of the red bean ice cream made for a refreshing taste. It paired well with the mochi flavor and was very delicious. The anmitsu in the store also looked delicious, so I would like to visit again next time!

I am looking for gourmet takeout options to boost my motivation for jogging. The jogging distance to the destination is 6.5km, the time of visit is 1:10 pm, there are 4 people in line, and no waiting time. I decided to walk to buy anmitsu. Along the way, I felt a bit hungry, so I bought anmitsu for 450 yen and a small red bean ice cream monaka for 140 yen. Since it was a Sunday, there was a line for dining inside the shop. I was feeling tired from the summer sun, so the ice cream monaka was delicious. The gentle sweetness of the red bean and the crispy texture of the monaka were irresistible. I was looking forward to the anmitsu. When I got home, I took a sauna, then participated in the Nishiarai summer festival (bon dance). After finishing dinner, I finally enjoyed the anmitsu! The agar jelly had a nice texture, the syrup was not too strong, but the sweetness was just right. The red bean paste had the same gentle sweetness as when I had it with the monaka and was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

▸ Uji Kanjicream ¥780______Located about a 5-minute walk from Nezu Station, "Imojin" is a traditional sweet shop founded in the first year of the Taisho era, where you can feel the gentle atmosphere of Tokyo's old town. I ordered the Uji Kanjicream, and the sweet red bean paste was especially delicious! I found out that they make their own red bean paste, cooked to perfection to complement the shaved ice. The owner explained that shaved ice with red bean paste at the bottom is a traditional style passed down through the old town. It was a refreshing and delicious shaved ice experience, learning about history through dessert. The cute round vanilla ice cream on top of the shaved ice is also homemade with a gentle sweetness that will soothe your soul. This sweet shop, run by a lovely couple, is a place I would love to visit again. ┈Store Information┈ ❑Name: Imojin ❑Address: 2-30-4 Nezu, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo ❑Access: About a 5-minute walk from Nezu Station (Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, Exit 1) or a 1-minute walk from the Nezu Shrine Entrance bus stop (Toei Bus, Route 58)

It's a shop that always welcomes you with kindness whenever you visit. And the anmitsu always sparkles whenever you come ☆ When you eat the sparkling anmitsu, your feelings also become sparkling♪ The power of happiness that comes from something delicious gently affects your heart. Just like going to the hospital when you're not feeling well, if you're feeling down, you go to Imojin. That's the kind of shop it is.

This is an old-fashioned sweet shop in Negishi. It was very hot, so there was a long line. The shaved ice is priced around 500-600 yen, which is great for families with children. Eating shaved ice on a hot day cools the body, making it easier to endure the heat outside.

Imojin, which was part of the Metro City Stamp Rally course, offers digital stamps without the need to enter the store. However, I decided to go inside. On a very hot day, I was surprised by the wide variety of options on the menu, especially the shaved ice. After much deliberation, I ordered the Avocado Anmitsu with red bean and vanilla ice cream for 680 yen, and the Strawberry Milk shaved ice with strawberry syrup and condensed milk for 580 yen. Both prices include tax. The Avocado Anmitsu had plenty of agar jelly, smooth red bean paste, and a rich black syrup that was delicious. The red bean and vanilla ice cream were refreshing and easy to eat. The size of the shaved ice was just right, not overly large like some places nowadays. The texture was fluffy, and the strawberry milk flavor was nostalgic yet more refined than what I remembered from the past. Overall, it was a delightful experience. I was able to pay using PayPay as well.

After enjoying the best kushikatsu at Hin Tei, we tried to go to places like Kamitake for udon, Sobashin and Matsukaze for soba, but they were all packed. Well, it's Saturday after all. So, we decided to go to Imokan! We had cream anmitsu for ¥580 and shaved ice for ¥580. It's been a while since we had sweets outside. Our usual route is drinking alcohol, so... Today was scorching hot, over 30℃, so the shaved ice was incredibly delicious! The cream anmitsu never fails to bring a smile. It's been a while since I had vanilla ice cream too.
