In Gion, there are limited sushi restaurants open even late at night. Today, I ordered the Oke Nigiri at Otowa-san. It includes sea urchin at a very affordable price! The tuna was of high quality, and the texture of the white fish was excellent. The egg had a slight sweetness and was firm. It was amazing!

Coppé gani will be ending in less than a month. I wonder how many more times I can eat it. The other dishes are consistently delicious, like the persimmon with wasabi that they made for me. With more opportunities to drink alcohol during this season, it's better to eat fruit in between drinks rather than before or after, as it helps the liver break down alcohol more efficiently, with a rate of over 50%.

I enjoyed the Coppe-gani (horsehair crab) right away. The miso was rich and sweet, delicious. It was nice that they poured crab sake from the shell. The meat was firm and big compared to last year, so it was satisfying to eat. Other menu items were tasty as usual. I want to eat the Dobin-mushi again before the end of this month.

When you hear about Gion sushi, you might think it's intimidating or high-end and not easy to visit, but Onba is easy to visit and casual♪ The atmosphere inside the restaurant is like a long-established place, with regular customers and hostesses accompanying them at night! The chef is friendly and the restaurant is spacious, with a large sushi counter divided into two sections, making the sushi serving smooth! The ingredients are fresh and you can see the sushi ingredients on the counter, so you can confirm the freshness of the fish with your own eyes, which I think is great! Hello! "Sushidokoro Onba Kyoto Gion Store" Onba Sushi. I mainly associate Onba with the branch in Kitashinchi, but they also have a shop in Kyoto. I visited the shop right after it opened! The interior is quite spacious, like a bed for eels. It seems like you can order one piece at a time. There were also many people using it for business entertainment. I tried some kazunoko. It's my first time this year! Let's also have some sashimi. The chef recommended some sake for those who enjoy drinking. You might get drunk on the appetizers before going to Sabazushi haha. This place is open late at night and is conveniently located near Shijo Keihan station. I arrived a bit late and had already had a few drinks, so I was a bit tipsy. We toasted with a bottle of sweet potato shochu that we had kept for ourselves. We had grilled swordfish and conger eel as appetizers, then moved on to various sushi pieces. We tried Mirugai for the first time, which I sometimes have in Chinese cuisine but it was great as sushi too. Finally, we had our usual ending with medium fatty tuna. The taste was consistently good as always. The prices are reasonable in Gion. After eating and drinking all that, the total bill came to 8690 yen.

When meeting up with a friend returning from Toyama in Kyoto, we decided to meet at Otohime-san as it was the last train and already past 11 pm. Surprisingly, we were able to get in smoothly at this late hour. I ordered a drink (sweet potato shochu) while waiting for my friend to arrive. It's always nice to reunite after a few days apart. We started with some appetizers - monkfish liver with ponzu sauce and grilled conger eel. Both were flavorful and delicious. The sushi chefs were busy fulfilling a large order for sushi rolls, but once that was done, we moved on to ordering sushi. I felt like trying a variety of sushi, so I alternated between ordering 2 pieces and 1 piece. The seared sushi was especially good, particularly the golden eye snapper and red snapper. It had been a while since my last visit, but I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse selection of sushi. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

We started with some appetizers, and I noticed that there were two slightly different ones. The saury sashimi looked delicious. We also had grilled ayu with roe, and some sashimi of mackerel. The saury had a great fatty taste, so delicious. The grilled ayu had a nice firm texture and was tasty. The star of the night was the saira fish. It was light and had a unique flavor, very sweet. It melted in my mouth. Although it was written as mackerel, it's actually in season now. We also had some sushi, with the red snapper skin being particularly good. To finish, we decided to skip the usual fatty tuna and had more saira sushi instead. It was a nice way to end the meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

The blowfish tessa and fried chicken were delicious. The coppe-gani was reliably tasty. The dobin mushi has ended for this season. As it gets colder, the fish will become even more delicious.

The food is always finely prepared and easy to eat. The dobin mushi is only available until the end of this month. I feel like I always end up eating only dishes that go well with alcohol. Even though smoking is not allowed in the restaurant, I can relate to the manager's taste in background music.
