Kyoto Kitashirakawa Ramen Sairikiya [Limited Time] Golden Salt Cloud Noodle This year's 70th bowl of ramen is here. The clear soup with yuzu peel and charred green onions as accents is enjoyable. The plentiful cloud noodles are also delicious! It's light but has a deep flavor. I really enjoyed this ramen!

I visited the Sanjo branch after 10 years. I had the spicy ramen, which had a lighter soup than I expected but still had a good spiciness to it. It was delicious. My husband ordered the Kujo green onion ramen. I took a bite and it was also delicious! Getting so much green onion is unique to Kyoto. Thank you for the meal.

We shared Kyoto back fat soy sauce ramen with all toppings and recommended spicy miso bean sprout ramen. Noodles were cooked normal, with extra back fat. The spicy miso had just the right amount of spiciness. We enjoyed changing the flavor with Yannnyonjan and extra garlic. Ended up sweating a bit, but it was delicious.

I ordered the special soy sauce ramen. If I were to compare it to other ramen, I would say that those who like Kura Tei might enjoy this one! I arrived at the restaurant around 2:30 PM. I appreciate that some ramen shops are open for the whole day, unlike those that close after lunch. I sat at the counter and ordered the "Special Shoyu Ramen" (767 yen) with firm noodles and regular amount of lard. It was nice that they offered free green onions to add as much as you like. The soup had plenty of lard floating on top, with green onions, bamboo shoots, and chashu pork arranged nicely. I also added a lot of green onions from the container at the counter. The clear chicken-based soup with soy sauce flavor was light yet flavorful, with a good balance of acidity and saltiness. The straight thin noodles were firm and chewy, blending well with the soup, and the green onions added a nice touch. The thinly sliced chashu pork was plentiful and delicious after soaking up the soup. It was interesting to see that the taste can vary slightly depending on the branch, as this restaurant is a chain with its main branch in Kyoto.

Hmm, I decided to end my fourth stop of the night here at Raumen Kairikiya Kawaramachi Sanjo branch ✨♪ It's one of my favorite chain ramen shops. The special soy sauce ramen is ¥850 and the rich and spicy negi ramen is ¥880. I was pretty drunk and already quite full when I came here, so I can't provide much of a detailed review. Personally, I think the default ramen at Kairikiya is my favorite. And I was so happy to receive a free voucher. Looking forward to more delicious ramen in the future!

I went to a ramen shop for drinks after 7 pm on a holiday. Even at this time, they were having a happy hour. I had a plate of chashu, menma, and kimchi as a side dish with my beer. It was my first time at Kaikaraya, a Kyoto ramen shop that I had seen around but never tried before. The ramen was typical Kyoto style, similar to what you might find at places like Daiichi Asahi. It was delicious enough for someone like me who doesn't want to wait in line at Daiichi Asahi. If you like this type of ramen, Kaikaraya seems like a cheap, fast, and convenient option. When you pay, they give you various service coupons. If there was one nearby, I would definitely become a regular customer.

A few minutes' walk from Kyoto City Hall Station and Sanjo Station. I stopped by here today. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats and table seats, and the main menu is ramen. I ordered the Ajitama Ramen with Karaage Set. They asked about the firmness of the noodles and the amount of back fat, and I chose normal. Let's dig in! The ramen has a classic soy sauce flavor. You can use as much green onions from the box on the table as you like. The karaage was hot and freshly fried. So, itadakimasu! The biggest charm is definitely the unlimited green onions. The staff were cheerful and nice, but the counter seats were a bit cramped due to the narrow spacing.

With fewer places open late due to COVID, it's a relief to have this option. The interior has counter seats and private booths. I chose the ramen with plenty of Kujo green onions. The noodles are medium thickness straight noodles. The ramen is somewhere between a light Chinese-style soup with back fat and a rich, thick soup. It's satisfying after a night of drinking. I usually regret it the next day, but I prefer to have the regret of doing something rather than not doing it. The abundant Kujo green onions give a refreshing taste in your mouth. The average customer spend is around 1000 yen. They have table and counter seats. Thank you for the meal!

Located in Shijo-Karasuma as well, I visited this place as they were working hard to stay open even during the pandemic, offering takeout options. They are known for their Kyoto ramen with plenty of back fat. The green onions are cut in a way that keeps them crunchy without crushing the fibers. After drinking in Kyoto, I went to eat ramen as a finishing touch! I had planned to go to a different restaurant, but it was closed, so I ended up going to this nearby place instead. I have only been to Kaikaraya in a local food court before, so I was surprised to see that they had set meals on the menu. Since I had been drinking, I ordered a simple ramen. I wonder why people crave ramen after drinking... The pork back fat soy sauce really hits the spot after drinking. There was garlic on the table that you could add to your liking, but I resisted the temptation (laughs). The finishing ramen was delicious (laughs). Thank you for the meal!
