This is a cafe located in Kyoto, facing towards the direction of Ginkaku-ji and along Shika-no-Tani Street. The interior is decorated with antique furniture and decorations that give off a Central Asian vibe. The four tables in the cafe were all full during my visit, and the female owner seemed busy but was able to chat with me before I left. Originally from Nara, the owner was fascinated by the Silk Road exhibition she saw as a child, sparking her interest in artifacts from that era. The walls were adorned with costumes from the Chinese Miao ethnic group, and the chair backs featured woven textiles reminiscent of old Vietnamese sashes. She used to work at a cafe along the Kamo River but opened her own cafe here last year. When asked about the unique cafe name, she explained that it was derived from "kashiwade," an old term for court chefs who served dishes on oak leaves. The logo of the cafe depicts hands holding oak leaves. The desserts, including the parfait and sweets, were delicious with a subtle sweetness. I had the cake of the day for 1450 yen, which included custard pie, strawberries, and two types of ice cream, as well as a 700 yen hojicha served in a glass pot with high-quality tea leaves from Miyazaki. The owner's personal touches were evident throughout the cafe, making it a lovely place to visit. Since she runs the cafe alone, service can be slow when it's busy, but it's a relaxing space to spend some time in.

I had always been curious about the cafe called Kashihate-san. Inside the cafe, there are various scents from different countries, like the scent of the Silk Road. I ordered the French toast, which was made with bread mixed with mascarpone cheese and served with strawberries. It also came with sauce and ice cream. I enjoyed it with Japanese black tea. This cafe offers desserts with plenty of fruits, and I want to visit again as the seasons change.

The shop is run by a very friendly female owner. I happened to find this shop and was lucky to try their limited edition mango parfait during the Gion Festival period. The parfait was made with domestic mangoes and was delicious. I also enjoyed their peach smoothie, Uwajima Gold and Gold Kiwi Mint Julep, and soda. Everything had a natural sweetness, making it easy to enjoy.

I visited Kimiya's place, and the antique interior was still charming. I had an iced coffee and parfait. The parfait had an adult-like taste, and the iced coffee was easy to drink. It felt like something you would find in a nice hotel.

It used to be a shop selling bean curd, but the shop has changed, and now they also serve parfaits. I heard about it and decided to visit after going to Ginkaku-ji Temple and the Philosopher's Path. The shop is decorated in a Silk Road theme, reflecting the new owner's taste. The interior and books are all related to that theme, and I was able to do a little studying while waiting for my parfait. I ordered the apple crumble parfait, and even though it took some time to make as it's a one-person operation, it was worth the wait. The parfait was carefully made and paired well with the tea they served. If you are nearby or happen to be in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Although, if it becomes too popular and crowded, it might be a problem.

The interior is elegant and calming. Located on Shikagaya Street in Jodoji, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, not far from Ginkaku-ji Temple. The menu is hidden among Western books. Today, I tried: ⚫Seasonal fruit smoothie [Kiwi and Mint Smoothie] - a surprisingly delicious blend of kiwi and mint that was a pleasant shock to my taste buds. ⚫Today's cake with an additional scoop of ice cream for 200 yen - I believe it was a Gold Kiwi Mille-feuille ice cream with cardamom flavor. The ice cream was delicious! ⚫Today's parfait - an orange parfait with kiwi and various other ingredients, including spices as accents. Despite the many ingredients, it all came together perfectly. I am very satisfied. In the morning from 10:00 to 12:00, there is a reservation-only pastry course called "Morning Sweets Club" that I would love to attend next time.

A wonderful cafe with a lovely atmosphere. I wanted to visit, so I went with my senior foodie companion. The ambiance inside the cafe was so quiet that it almost felt like a library, with each customer quietly enjoying their tea. I was intrigued by the parfait, so I ordered a cute strawberry parfait and some black tea. The female owner was running the cafe alone, so it took a bit of time. While waiting, I chatted and admired the furniture and decor. I enjoyed delicious sweets, had a nice conversation with the owner, and had a graceful time. I would recommend this cafe, but it may be difficult if you have a tight schedule, so it's better to avoid it if you have plans. Thank you for the meal!

Last autumn, a stylish cafe opened in Kyoto, Jodo-ji. Today's parfait is the strawberry parfait for 1,550 yen. It is filled with strawberries, whipped cream, pistachios, milk tea ice cream made from boiling, plenty of nuts, mocha meringue, chocolate crumble, raspberry sauce, and custard cream. I had rooibos tea for 700 yen, while my friend had Japanese black tea. The dishes are cute, and the parfait and tea are delicious. It was a cozy and relaxing cafe experience. Thank you for the meal. When I traveled to Kyoto with a friend, we visited this place. From the interior to the books on display, and the carefully selected tableware, you can feel the attention to detail in the cozy atmosphere. I had a strawberry parfait, filled to the brim with fresh strawberries, paired with fragrant pistachio ice cream and elegant crunchy chocolate. It was very delicious. The Japanese black tea was also excellent.
