"On a day off, I visited 'FUGREN TOKYO,' a café listed in the '100 Famous Cafés' list, after having lunch with Indian curry and walking up a hill to work up a sweat before indulging in some ice cream. I then took a stroll to Yoyogi Park Station, enjoying the humid weather of over 30 degrees. The café is located about a 5-minute walk from Yoyogi Park Station. The interior has about 8 counter seats, a few table seats, and outdoor seating including benches for about 6 people. I chose a counter seat with a view outside. I visited on a Monday afternoon during the Obon holiday period, around 12:50 pm. The café was bustling but I managed to find a seat at the counter. I ordered an iced café latte for 690 yen. The size was similar to a chain café's medium size, with a strong milky taste and a nice aroma of coffee. It was a bit pricey at 690 yen, but the atmosphere of the café made it worth it. The entrance of the café is bright and stylish, creating a fun and youthful vibe. While I didn't see many people my age, it was still enjoyable to visit. As someone who enjoys exploring various eateries, I look forward to visiting more places in the future. I have already visited over 130 out of the 100 famous cafés on my list by 2023!"

"Fuglen," born in Norway in 1963, chose Shimokitazawa in Tokyo as its first overseas location for expansion. Since opening in 2011, this cafe loved by both Japanese and foreigners is known for its light roasted coffee and nostalgic interior design that gives a sense of familiarity to first-time visitors. The name Fuglen means "bird" in Norwegian. The bird depicted in the red and white logo is inspired by the migratory bird called the Osprey seen in Oslo. Fuglen's dedication to light roasting aims to bring out the natural flavors of the beans and allow customers to enjoy the unique characteristics of each bean. Norwegians enjoy drinking coffee multiple times a day, hence the preference for a smooth drinking experience. Visited during weekday opening hours. Started the day with a cup of the day's coffee (Brazil) for 410 yen and paired it with the Yogurt Granola for 710 yen. The granola made by mamaluli was a delightful surprise as it was thought to be exclusive to Breakfast Club in Ikejiri-Ohashi. Croissants and Pain au Raisin were also available, likely sourced from Bricolage Bread in Roppongi. Note that food brought from outside will be prohibited starting October 1. Sat on the chic chairs, gazing at the outside view and enjoying a leisurely time. The coffee was just as expected from Fuglen - light and refreshing, yet with the unique bitterness and richness typical of Brazilian coffee. Then, a generous bowl of granola arrived, topped with yogurt, frozen berries, and milk on the side. The granola had a crispy texture, not too sweet, similar to muesli. The yogurt was also not sweet, making the overall experience light and perfect for the morning. The staff asked with a smile if it was enjoyable as I left, which added to the warm experience. While some negative reviews can be found, I had a generally positive impression as I was able to spend a relaxed and peaceful morning."

This shop is located in a white two-story house on the way from the west entrance of NHK Tokyo Broadcasting Center, across Inokashira Street, towards the Tomigaya intersection on the Udagawa promenade. At first glance, it looks like a regular house, but there is a cafe on the first floor. Even on weekdays, there are many customers, and some people even take photos due to its novelty. Enjoying a cold coffee on the veranda of the house is a unique and delicious experience.

The atmosphere inside the shop was nice with music playing. Today's coffee was from Peru, fruity, slightly sweet, and delicious. The turnover rate may not be very high, as there were people chatting or reading books inside. It was easy to find a seat for one person, even if it meant sharing a table. The interior had an antique feel and was stylish.

I tried Shakelato for the first time. I thought it was a coffee with acidity, but then the bitterness caught up and spread a mellow flavor overall. It was delicious and interesting coffee. The cake I ordered with it was like a pound cake similar to Stollen, and it was satisfying. I definitely want to go back!

This is a cafe near Yoyogi Park! I came to this area specifically for a bakery, but both bakeries I wanted to visit were unexpectedly closed... So, I heard that this cafe also has bread, so I decided to give it a try. Even though it was a weekday morning, the cafe was almost full inside. There were a few chairs outside, but most people were taking photos rather than relaxing, probably because it was hot. Since it didn't seem like a relaxing place to sit, I ordered an iced coffee to go. When I asked about food, I was told that everything was already sold out even though it wasn't even lunchtime yet. It was quite a surprise to come to this area looking for bread, visit three places, and still not find any. With my iced coffee in hand, I headed to the fourth place in search of bread. As for the taste... Today's beans were from Kenya. I've been drinking coffee with a lot of acidity and less bitterness lately, so this coffee, which had some bitterness, felt strong. It had been a while since I had coffee with bitterness, and I felt that the moderate bitterness enhanced the aroma. It was surprisingly easy to drink, and I finished it quickly. By the way, the criteria for the "Top 100 Cafes" seems less straightforward compared to other genres. It doesn't seem to be solely based on taste, but also takes into account the atmosphere and ambiance. I haven't come across a coffee that stands out as exceptionally delicious yet, so maybe that's why it seems that way.

I had work in Shibuya from the morning, finished around 10 o'clock, and had some time before my next job, so I was looking for a good cafe to relax. While wandering around the area known as Okushibu, I stumbled upon a unique cafe with a crowd gathering outside. After researching, I found out that it was a shop known for its delicious coffee. I decided to line up and give it a try. It's quite rare for me to go to a cafe in the morning as I'm not a morning person. The shop is located about a 5-minute walk from Yoyogi Park Station. Inside, there are about 8 counter seats, a few tables, outdoor seating for about 6 people, and some sofa-like seats. The interior is slightly dark with a wood theme, and it seemed like they also operate as a bar at night, as there were a lot of liquors displayed on the counter. They also had a variety of merchandise, including tote bags, showcasing their strong branding. While waiting in line, I debated over the menu, but ultimately decided to go with the iced Americano. It was reasonably priced at 580 yen and had a perfect balance of acidity and a hint of black sugar flavor, making it surprisingly easy to drink and delicious.

I loved it so much that I went back at night after visiting during the day! The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff are really great. It's been a while since I had cocktails, but I think I'm hooked now. They recommend drinks well, so I think anyone can feel comfortable there. I found my favorite spot!!

Today's coffee ☕️ costs 410 yen. It has a slight acidity, maybe it's made with Brazilian beans. They pay attention to the extraction method, offering espresso, drip, and Aeropress. It's great for coffee enthusiasts! There are benches outside with lots of people, but inside there are normal seats and low chairs, which are very comfortable. The service is polite and the staff are very likeable!

The concept is "Coffee, Cocktails, Vintage Design". You can enjoy their own roasted light-roast coffee at "Fuglen Roasters". They serve a drink called "Shakerato Latte Shaker" made with ice, espresso, and milk, with a hint of sweetness. The shop is located in Tokyo and accepts transportation IC cards. The background music is Western music from 1963. Fuglen is a small coffee roaster founded in Oslo, Norway in 1963. The Tokyo branch was opened in 2012, making it the world's first Fuglen outpost. The logo of Fuglen features a bird, symbolizing the migratory bird called the Eurasian Oystercatcher that can be seen in Oslo's harbor. The majority of customers are foreigners, and the staff are friendly and willing to provide information when asked.

A very popular cafe that even tourists from overseas make a point to visit. Despite its popularity, the wait for food isn't usually long, so many people just grab a quick drink or opt for takeout. It's very hot out, and there aren't any umbrellas, so even those sitting on the terrace tend to finish up in about ten minutes. When we went to the AIRBUGGY PET & LIFE Shibuya main store, there was a limit on the number of people allowed inside, so we stopped by a cafe nearby and enjoyed a cold drink.

I had been curious about this shop every time I came to Kamiyama, but finally visited for the first time. Is it a bar at night? The staff were handsome and cute, with very gentle service, creating a cozy and chill atmosphere. I tried the Coffee Tonic. It's cold brew coffee with tonic water added. It's very refreshing and recommended for quenching your thirst in the hot summer. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant at 8:15 am on a national holiday. Despite the hot summer morning, the terrace seats were full, and there were high school students behind me taking pictures of themselves for over 40 minutes. Inside the restaurant, there were a few foreigners, and about half of the seats were empty, so I was able to choose where to sit. I ordered the Eton-exclusive goat cheese toast and an iced latte. The latte came in 2-3 minutes, and the toast arrived in about 10 minutes. Both were delicious and I thought it was the perfect combination. I also bought a Gâteau au Chocolat and a New York something cake to take home. The New York something cake had a lot of cinnamon in it, making it a unique and delicious cake that I had never tried before. The Gâteau au Chocolat was also much tastier than the average ones you find in other shops. I definitely want to go back.

I visited this place for breakfast based on a recommendation from a friend. When I arrived around 9:15 am, there were already a lot of people. I had today's coffee and bread. Although I usually prefer dark roast, this Brazilian light roast had a nice sweetness to it and was very delicious! The atmosphere of the shop was also very calm and highly recommended! 🌟

A cafe tucked away quietly in the depths of Yoyogi Park. Even on holidays, the place is not crowded. Feeling tired from walking, I took a breather. It was hot outside, but I ordered a hot cafe latte. It had a clean, creamy taste that was easy to drink. I could have had multiple cups. Surrounded by an antique-style atmosphere, it's a hidden gem where time flows slowly.

I went early in the morning, but the cafe was already full! It's a popular spot. I got takeout and enjoyed it in Yoyogi Park. It was packed even in the morning, with many foreigners. The atmosphere was not very Japanese, but the staff were friendly. I would be happy if there was a cafe like this nearby!

Shibuya Station is a 15-minute walk, Harajuku Station is a 15-minute walk, and Yoyogi Park Station is a 5-minute walk to "Fuglen Tokyo." This time, I ordered a single item at the counter. Ordered item: Ice Americano ¥580. This café is always bustling with a global crowd. My first encounter with them was at a high-end restaurant where I was impressed by a cup of their coffee. That's how I got to know their coffee and decided to visit their café. It's always crowded and full. They also serve cocktails, so you can enjoy a different experience in the evening. I later found out that their coffee was praised by The New York Times as "worth flying for just to have a cup." It's a popular world-renowned coffee shop. They also have a store in Asakusa.

"Fuglen Tokyo is a representative café in the Aoyama-Shibuya area that always puts you in the best mood, whether it's morning, afternoon, or late at night. It's always crowded with stylish people, but the line at the register is not long, so you can just enjoy the atmosphere. Taking a stroll with a tangy coffee in hand is the best."

I had an Espresso Tonic. It was refreshing yet had a sophisticated flavor. It's my favorite drink. It can be busy during the day, but in the evening it's not too crowded and has a great atmosphere. The baristas are friendly and wonderful.

Popular cafe bar, the ice cafe latte for takeout was extremely crowded, while the cocktail drinkers at the bar seemed to be in no rush to leave, probably because the prices were high and they were carefully calculating their money. The Short Cocktail "Naked Girl" for summer 2023 was priced at 1700 yen, made with Empirical, Absinthe, Celery, Lemon, Olive Oil, and Sugar. Despite the intense heat in Tokyo that day, the Absinthe and Celery in the cocktail had an amazing ability to refresh and recover from the summer fatigue. The space was a bit cluttered, but it had a charm that made it worth paying the cover charge.

It was always crowded with many people, so I couldn't get in easily, but I finally visited because I had some extra time! When I placed my order, the restaurant was full, but I waited while standing at the counter and after a while, a seat opened up and I was guided to it. The service was very friendly. I showed a picture of the brown cheese bread I had been checking out before, and ordered that along with a recommended coffee to go with it. They recommended the cold brew coffee. The color was reddish-brown and somewhat transparent, looking romantic under the shop's lights, and the taste was light and fruity. It was perfect for a summer night. The brown cheese bread was firm, with a slight sweetness and saltiness from the cheese. It wasn't as rich as I had expected, but I think it paired well with the coffee. The coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere of the shop was stylish and comfortable. Since they are open late, it seems like a good place to have a late-night tea with friends.
