Located in Harajuku, this pancake shop opened in 2011 and has been leading the pancake boom. I visited on a Saturday afternoon around 1 pm. It was still early for tea time, so there was one table available and I was able to enter easily. Around 1 pm, more customers started to arrive, but there was a waitlist outside, so it seems better to come early if you want to avoid waiting. I ordered the Macadamia Nut Cream Pancake. It was served to the table, and arrived in about 15 minutes. At first glance, it was all white with a generous amount of white sauce and crushed nuts sprinkled on top. I took a bite and found the Macadamia Nut sauce to be refreshing and not too sweet. The pancake had a hint of saltiness, creating a perfect balance. The texture of the pancake was fluffy and I could eat it endlessly. It's no wonder this place is so popular.

The Rainbow Pancakes were back after 10 years! The pancakes were fluffy and moist, and they arrived in about 10 minutes. The Macadamia Nut Pancakes seem to be the most popular choice.

I ordered Pancake with baked apples and caramel for 1400 yen, and a Black Sesame Kinako Banana Shake for 700 yen. The drink arrived first, and even after finishing it, the pancakes were still not served. I wished the pancakes and drinks would come together. The pancakes were not fluffy, but rather moist. They were tasty, but compared to higher-end restaurants, they felt slightly lacking.

The baked apple and caramel pancake was not bad, but it was just average despite the high rating on Tabelog. I probably won't come back. I love pancakes, so I went pancake hunting today! I went with a friend for brunch on a holiday. The restaurant opened at 11:00, and we arrived at 11:05 to find the place full with 2 groups waiting outside. The staff, especially a very friendly lady, took our orders in advance. Despite being such a busy place, all the staff were smiling and provided excellent service, which was impressive. We waited for about 40 minutes before finally being seated. Once we sat down, our pancakes arrived in less than 2 minutes, which was great. We planned to order two savory and two dessert pancakes to share between the two of us. The items we ordered were as follows: "B.L.R.T (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Rocket)" ¥1450 "Salmon & Avocado" ¥1450 "Ice Cream & Maple" ¥1250 "Baked Apple & Caramel" ¥1400 Additional fried eggs topping for the savory pancakes ¥150 each ● "B.L.R.T (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Rocket)" + fried egg topping The savory pancake was a blend of wheat flour, whole wheat, and rye, which excited me as a fan of whole wheat and rye. It had lettuce, bacon, tomato, and tomato jelly on top. The stacked design was quite challenging, as it collapsed several times before being brought out (laughs). In conclusion, it was very difficult to eat and lacked a cohesive flavor. The lettuce was roughly cut, making it hard to eat, and it didn't blend well with the other ingredients. The pancake itself was fluffy and delicious, but it didn't have the rustic feel of rye and whole wheat that I expected. Also, the lettuce was not fresh, with many pieces showing pink discoloration, which was disappointing. ● "Salmon & Avocado" + fried egg topping This savory pancake lacked flavor due to the absence of sauce or syrup, but the saltiness of the salmon balanced it out. The herb cream cheese was delicious as well. However, like the previous pancake, the lettuce was unruly and the overall taste and texture were lacking. ● "Ice Cream & Maple" Finally, the dessert pancake we were looking forward to. The pancake was not the fluffy souffle type but had a crispy outer layer and a fluffy inside, which was unique. It was delicious with a hint of crispiness! You could choose between vanilla and rum ice cream, and I chose two rum scoops. The ice cream was gelato-like and refreshing. However, the rum ice cream lacked rum flavor without eating the rum raisins, and there were only a few raisins. The syrup that came with it lacked the maple aroma and flavor, tasting sweet but lacking depth. Since the pancake itself was tasty but the syrup and ice cream were mediocre, I ended up enjoying the pancake on its own. ● "Baked Apple & Caramel" This was the most delicious one today!

Located a 3-minute walk from the elevator entrance of Meiji-jingumae Station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, so you have to climb stairs to get there. Inside, there are three 4-seater tables and three 2-seater tables. As the name suggests, Rainbow, the interior is dome-shaped, with rainbow-colored glass windows. Their special dish, White Merry Christmas (¥1750), is available from December 1st to 25th, featuring two pancakes topped with honey sauce and pure white whipped cream. On the side, there are ginger man cookies, white chocolate cookies, and strawberry mascarpone cheese ice cream. You can also enjoy fruit butter, strawberry sauce, and marmalade sauce for added flavor. The pancakes are fluffy but chewy, with a fragrant vanilla and crispy crepe-like aroma. They are light and smooth, with a creamy mouthfeel. The strawberry ice cream is cool and slightly sweet, reminiscent of strawberry milk. The sweetness of the pancakes and cream is complemented by the tartness of the strawberries and marmalade sauce, creating a delightful contrast! During weekdays, around 12:30 pm, there were no customers initially, but by 1 pm, two groups had arrived.

The main store in Harajuku! Last time we went to Ikebukuro, but the main store has better sunlight. It was around noon on a weekday, and the place was almost full of foreign visitors. We were the only Japanese there, so it felt like we were the tourists (lol). White Merry Christmas - ¥1750 When I saw the visual of this, I knew I had to try it. And when it was right in front of me, it was so cute! The fluffy pancake with a generous amount of whipped cream was delicious. It had cute cookies, strawberries, and even a sauce for flavor variation! I loved it so much that it became one of my favorites. I was extremely satisfied with this Christmas pancake. Rainbow Pancake Harajuku Rainbow's Mont Blanc, which I haven't had in a long time, was the last one I had at the Harajuku store today. The cake had fluffy layers of cake with coarse and fine chestnut paste in between, and pure whipped cream inside. The paste had a subtle sweetness and a strong chestnut flavor. On top of the cake, there was a generous amount of my favorite Anglaise sauce, which you can choose to have with or without rum. I chose to have it with rum, and the aroma was amazing. On the side, there was espresso vanilla ice cream and black currant creme d'anjou sauce. The bitterness of the espresso in the vanilla ice cream and the refreshing black currant cream were a great palate cleanser. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal. Unlike the Ikebukuro branch, the Harajuku branch has many days when it's closed, so be careful. I've always thought of this place as one of the famous ones since the early days of the sweet pancake boom, and the fluffy and bubbly texture of the pancakes is still excellent. While some trendy pancakes are thick but undercooked and gooey, I prefer pancakes with a properly fluffy texture. As time flies by when we're busy, I decided to enjoy the Halloween pancakes on this day. The pancakes come with pumpkin sauce and various toppings that allow you to enjoy different flavors. The set includes ice cream (officially black sesame ice cream, but I remember it being cookies and cream), pumpkin mousse in a glass, caramel pumpkin spread, black honey sauce, cocoa cookies, grape jelly, and ghost-shaped meringue. The gentle pumpkin sauce, rich pumpkin mousse, and pumpkin spread offered various pumpkin flavors to enjoy. It was packed with Halloween and autumn flavors, making it a great way to feel the season.

On Saturday, I accompanied a friend to Omotesando to go shopping. We visited a pancake shop that I had been curious about for a while. We arrived around 12:50 pm and surprisingly there was no line, with plenty of empty seats available. I was excited to see that they had my favorite Shine Muscat pancake on the menu. It was a limited-time offer from Yamanashi Prefecture, featuring a luxurious combination of 10 pieces of Shine Muscat, 5 types of cheese, and a touch of black pepper on top of a pure whipped cream base. You could also add honey or Himalayan pink salt for a mix of sweet and salty flavors. The cheese selection included mascarpone, ricotta, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. I also ordered an iced coffee to go with it. The drink arrived 20 minutes after ordering, followed by the pancake 5 minutes later. Since I had eaten lunch not long before, I wasn't very hungry, so the wait time didn't bother me. The pancake looked amazing and tasted more savory than sweet, thanks to the generous amount of cheese. The Shine Muscat was delicious, and I ended up using all the honey provided. It was a satisfying experience, and I didn't mind that the iced coffee was a bit weak. They also served fruit water, and many customers opted for that instead of a drink. The option for separate billing was convenient, and I was lucky to get a seat without waiting in line. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Rainbow Pancake Ikebukuro Indulge in the exquisite Shine Muscat and 5 Cheese Rainbow Pancakes at Rainbow-san until October 10th. Following the Hojicha Pancakes, I tried the Shine Muscat and Cheese Pancakes, which are irresistible for Shine Muscat and cheese lovers. The fluffy pancakes consist of two layers with large, sweet Shine Muscat grapes surrounding them. There is white wine jelly around the grapes, giving a refreshing wine flavor. On top of the pancakes, there is a generous amount of cheese whipped cream, with a mix of five different cheeses. Starting with the refreshing Mozzarella cheese on top of the Shine Muscat, followed by the rich Parmigiano Reggiano, and three other cheeses in the cream. I found a small autumn in the Rainbow Pancake Ikebukuro. The new rainbow-san pancake for this month is a hojicha pancake that is perfect for September. When you look at the plate, you can see a small autumn in it. The plate looks like the mid-autumn moon, with kinako ice cream resembling an offering dango. The pancake itself looks like a full moon, with figs, dried fruits, and walnuts scattered around, giving it an autumn-like appearance. The fluffy pancakes are topped with plenty of hojicha cream, which is fragrant and slightly bitter with a mild sweetness. There is also a unique custard cream between the pancakes, which is delicious. On the side, there is kinako ice cream, sesame dango, and mitarashi butter sauce for flavor variation. The Homemade Ginger Ale was made by pouring soda water over ginger concentrate in a glass, and it was delicious. The place seemed to be popular among women, as there were no men around.
