I rated it 5 stars with high expectations. Tan Tan Men set for 1800 yen, the sweetness and spiciness of the soup were great. The way the minced meat blended in was delicious, showing potential to be a top restaurant in Kansai. The staff member who used to work in the kitchen was very polite in handling payment and seeing us off. The current taste has room for improvement: the Taiwanese condiments added a bitter taste, the noodles were a bit thin and soft, and the soup, although tasty, lacked thickness. These are areas for improvement to reach the next level of popularity. Maybe it's the sesame or the amount of minced meat that's lacking. I usually go to a shop in Tokyo for Tan Tan Men, and the richer the flavor, the better. I hope they strive to become a renowned restaurant. Delicious! When I saw the prices, I thought they were a bit high - lunch sets range from 1700 yen to 1900 yen, and the plum juice is 450 yen. But once I tasted the food, I was satisfied with the flavors. Each of the four of us ordered a different main dish and shared a bite of each, and they were all delicious. It felt like authentic flavors. I wish there were more of these restaurants in town. Definitely coming back again.

The order was the lo-lo rice (1180 yen). The customer service was excellent, with each task being done carefully. Considering the side dishes, gyoza, dessert, and the decent portion size, this restaurant could be considered cost-effective.

The staff spoke fluent broken Japanese, which was nice. They were kind, polite, and gentle. The dishes that came out were authentic. The rice topped with a large piece of braised pork was delicious. Is it called "konglou fan"? In the kitchen, they spoke Chinese. Other customers also spoke Chinese. It was a truly authentic restaurant with a Taiwanese vibe. The chlorella tea was delicious.

The new restaurant is very bright and clean. The staff's service was excellent. The best part is that you can make a reservation even during lunchtime. The portion size is a bit generous, as the women I went with left some rice uneaten.

I saw Jipai for the first time a few years ago, and I can't believe I can eat it so close now! Jipai is crispy and crunchy, while the Conro is chewy. It has various spices and tastes like traditional Chinese medicine. It's a delicious new flavor!

Had lunch at WholeDeli near Ryukoku University Omiya Campus on January 20, 2023. The Lu Rou Fan was delicious. My friend had the daily lunch special. #Kyoto lunch #Taiwanese cuisine #WholeDeli #LuRouFan.

I visited a restaurant near the 7 Jo Omiya intersection for lunch. They offer lunch set menus as well as a la carte options. I ordered the set menu with Jirohan and Jipaihan, and also ordered a la carte items like daikon mochi, century egg tofu, and xiaolongbao. They didn't have non-alcoholic beer, so I had apple cider instead. The lunch set came with salad, shumai, and soup on small plates. The portions were satisfying, and the flavors were well-seasoned with a hint of Chinese spices. They also served chlorella tea for free, which seemed healthy. The staff, with a Taiwanese accent, was very polite and humble. The owner may have a unique personality. I might visit again, maybe to try their conrohan next time. Overall, it was a likable restaurant.

It was a Taiwanese restaurant. I thought it was a cafe when I entered, but it turned out to be a Taiwanese restaurant. I decided to order some dishes. The almond milk drink and meat buns were delicious. It's a good place to take a break as it's close to the aquarium and Umekoji Park.

During my stay at a nearby hotel, I visited this restaurant twice, once for takeout and once for dine-in. The first time, I had mapo tofu and gyoza for takeout and enjoyed them in my hotel room. Both dishes had authentic flavors and I was very satisfied. The gyoza came in two sizes, regular and large. I ordered the regular size, but the staff mistakenly gave me the large size without charging extra, saying "Would you mind having the large size since it's the same price..." I was worried if I could finish it since I wasn't very hungry, but it turned out to be unnecessary concern. It was delicious till the last bite, without being too greasy. The second time, I had dan dan noodles for dine-in. It wasn't just spicy, but had a nice kick of sesame flavor as well.

A Taiwanese creative cuisine restaurant where you can casually walk in. The interior is spacious with a calm atmosphere. Its popularity is also due to its convenient location near Umekoji Park. The set menus are plentiful and very delicious.

The interior of the shop is stylish, and it is located near the station. I ordered a single serving of tantanmen, and I think the spiciness was just right. It was very delicious!

Located on the southeast side of Shichijo Omiya. This restaurant is on the first floor of a hotel. I went with my colleagues, a group of 5 people. It's a bright cafe-like place where you can enjoy Taiwanese cuisine. There are no private rooms, but there is a diaper changing area and a nursing room near the restroom, so it seems like a safe place for families with children. The dishes were beautifully presented and had a mild flavor that would appeal to Japanese taste. It might be a bit lacking for those seeking authentic Taiwanese cuisine, but I think it's a consideration for families with children. The almond tofu dessert was not too sweet and very delicious. I tried three flavors - chlorella green tea, mango, and strawberry - and I liked the chlorella green tea the best. We were a group of 5 adults this time, but I would like to come back with my children next time!

The staff at the restaurant were all very kind to children, making it easy to handle even a 2-year-old in the midst of the terrible twos. The oolong tea was free for kids, and lunch only cost the equivalent of two adult portions. The food also seemed to have improved in quality since the opening. It was delicious, cozy, and overall fantastic.

I found a shop near the university that also offers takeout options. I ordered my favorite daikon mochi. Seeing someone enjoying steamed buns inside the store, I was tempted to buy some too. So, I ended up purchasing a set of 5 steamed buns - white pork bun, spiced curry bun, chlorella vegetable bun, black sesame mochi bun, and black pork bun.
