In front of Nishioji Station, there is a bakery next to the ticket gate. I sometimes stop by and have some sweet bread. This time, I bought toast for the first time. It was amazing! The soft dough and the soft crust when toasted made me really like it. I want to come back and buy it again next time I'm nearby.

A bakery located in front of JR Nishioji Station in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. I stopped by to kill time before going to a certain dumpling shop. They had a nice eat-in space where I could enjoy my meal leisurely. The coffee was also quite good. Thank you for the meal.

This is a bakery located in front of Saiin Station. I just found out about it, but it seems to be a chain store with a considerable number of locations in the Kansai region. I stopped by while going to eat nearby. I bought four reasonably priced (in the 100 yen range) and visually appealing, substantial breads. The bread had a good taste and texture. When I'm in the area again, I would like to visit and use their services. Thank you for the meal.

When I went around 7:30, the bread was half price. It was great to be able to eat a lot for a cheap price.

I visited this shop for the first time (#^^#)━━━━━━JR Nishioji Station was right next to this bakery♪ In the past, I used to go to izakayas and yakitori restaurants in front of Nishioji Station, but at that time this bakery wasn't thereーーI don't take the train so I didn't know about it^^;; I often pass by Nishioji Street... So, this time I happened to find it and visited (#^^#) They have a wide variety of bread, and there were plenty of bread that I like❕ If I could walk there, I would go every day for sure~☆ Thank you for the meal (^人^)

I woke up at 4 AM, took care of my dog, caught the train in the 5 o'clock hour, and arrived in Nishioji around 9:10 AM after taking the Shinkansen to Kyoto and then the JR Kyoto Line (Tokaido Main Line). It was a long journey... I'm already tired... (;´Д｀) Since I had some time before the meeting, I decided to grab a coffee at this shop. Couz Concervo is a bakery located near train stations in Kyoto and Osaka. They had a seating area inside. Nishioji station is so small that this shop was the only option around. When I walked in, all I saw was bread, bread, and more bread. Whenever I see bread, I can't help but think I should get some coffee too... The ultimate cream bun caught my eye, priced at 200 yen. It was definitely on the expensive side for a cream bun, usually they're around 120 yen. I picked up one of these ultimate cream buns and without looking at the menu, I ordered an iced coffee. "That will be 500 yen," the cashier said in a Kyoto accent. ( ﾟДﾟ) Compared to the 350 yen rice ball set I had at Tokyo station, this 500 yen breakfast was... 850 yen in total!? What am I doing!! (;´Д｀) I scolded myself, a 43-year-old stingy office worker in his unlucky year. Oh well. The cream bun in front of me is the ultimate! The ultimate in Kyoto! Here I go. Hmm, it's good, but nothing extraordinary. Not as electrifying as I thought it would be. The iced coffee. Hmm, just average. That's how it goes sometimes, right? Ultimate... Well, thank you. If this shop wasn't here, I would have been exposed to the morning heat in the Kyoto basin. I ate the bread, drank the iced coffee, and 5 minutes later, everyone gathered. I wonder why we couldn't wait for another 15 minutes. But somehow, it turned out to be a nice memory. Kyoto isn't as sweet as you'd think. 😉

Upon exiting the ticket gate at Nishioji Station in early April 2016, there is a bookstore in front but few dining options. Turning right, you will find a convenience store and Concerbo. Concerbo has a wide window display filled with bread and offers a seating area. It's a Kansai-style bakery with reasonable prices. In addition to Concerbo's popular bread, there are also original breads exclusive to Nishioji. I took a break with their original bread coated in soybean flour and coffee. There is also a smoking room in the back. While there is a convenience store nearby where you can get coffee and donuts, there is no seating area and no benches around. The coffee at Concerbo is made from a machine similar to a convenience store, but the price is higher. However, considering it as a table charge, this seems like the perfect place to spend time around the station.

JR Nishi-Oji Station is in a great location. The spacious interior is filled with around 80 types of bread. Just looking at them is enjoyable. I go shopping here about once a week, and each time I visit, I notice more "Nishi-Oji store originals" on display, showing the staff's enthusiasm. The original bread may be a bit more expensive than the regular items, but they are worth it as they use high-quality ingredients. The bread here is more like eating a side dish (filling) than just bread, with rich and flavorful options. Personally, I recommend the Cheese Curry Bread with chunks of cheese inside. Kyoto apparently has the highest bread consumption in the country, with many bakeries, but this store is definitely one of the places I would like to keep coming back to.

I have always loved bread, and often go to the bakery with my child to buy bread. Normally, I tend to go to a more reasonably priced bakery, but I heard about a delicious bakery and decided to make a little trip. I was surprised to find that the bread was completely different from what I had been used to. Although the price was a bit higher compared to my usual bakery, the taste was significantly better. The bread looked so delicious that I ended up buying more than I had planned, but we finished all of it. The coffee was a bit pricey for the amount, but it was delicious. Even though it's a bit far, I would like to visit this bakery again.

I used it in the morning. It's a 1-minute walk from Nishioji Station. As you approach the ticket gate, you can smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread. The eat-in area has about 20 seats, with smoking and non-smoking sections separated, so it's reassuring. The morning set includes thick slices of toast (about half of a 4-slice loaf), potato salad, boiled egg, and a drink. The toast from a bakery is always delicious. The aroma is different. Half a toast is not enough, so I added a frankfurter. The outer bread of the frankfurter is also delicious. Bakery in front of Nishikyo Station in June 2013. It used to be where Heart Inn was. There is a smoking area in the eat-in corner, which I use occasionally. It's convenient and nice that you can use ICOCA for payment. There is a wide variety of bread, so you can easily find the one you want to eat depending on your mood. I was surprised to see the label "lard" in the ingredients when I bought the bread. I asked the staff about the bread several times, but they all said they didn't know. It might be because the staff are mainly part-timers.

Next to JR Nishioji Station, a bakery called "Coeur Conselbo Nishioji Store" has opened without me realizing it. When I heard the name of the store, I thought, "How nostalgic." It used to be a bakery at Tottori Station when I lived in Tottori. "Conselbo" is a bakery chain with 133 stores mainly in western Japan. Unfortunately, it's no longer at Tottori Station, but I never expected to encounter it in Kyoto. There is a small eat-in corner inside the store, with separate smoking and non-smoking seats. I visited in the evening, and there were still plenty of bread available. Plus, all the bread was reasonably priced at around 100 yen each. The spacious interior makes it easy to see the products. Today, I bought a loaf of bread and two individual pieces. The croissant was 120 yen, and the maple buns were 150 yen. They were a good size and tasted delicious when warmed up. Overall, it's a bakery where you can find good quality, quantity, and prices, suitable for everyday use.

The store is close to the station, with a spacious interior making it easy to choose bread. There is a wide variety of bread available, and since it was past noon, there was plenty of it, with freshly baked bread coming out continuously. However, there were almost no hard bread options, only standard products. They had a wide selection of sweet bread and savory bread, with some looking very delicious. The sweet potato bread for 180 yen had plenty of sweet potatoes. It had a lot of filling and the bread dough was soft and had a good texture for sweet bread. I liked that the dough was soft and chewy. I prefer chewy dough over moist and fluffy dough, so it was a hit for me. I didn't know that this place had just opened.

This is a bakery located right to the right after exiting the Nishioji ticket gate. I used it for a meeting after finishing my meal. I ordered a cafe latte (300 yen) and a coffee (280 yen), paid, and received them in about 2 minutes. Both were served in the same medium-sized paper cups. It was around 13:30 on a weekday, and about 80% of the guests in the non-smoking area were eating in. There was a wide variety of bread on the bread shelf, so I would like to try the bread next time.

I happened to stop by around 1 pm! I was hungry so everything looked delicious and I ended up buying a lot! They had cheesecakes and chocolate cakes (room temperature) too! The prices were reasonable, around 100 yen. Everything was delicious! There was no one eating inside the store when I went, but you can eat inside and it's convenient because it's right by the station. I will definitely use it again if I have the chance. Next to JR Nishi-Oji Station, a new bakery opened up recently. It had a chain store vibe, so I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the pastries were. I bought some Danish pastries for around 150 yen each, and I received a discount coupon that I could use until the end of the month. I visited again right away (and got half off my purchase - so grateful!). When I went before noon, they had a variety of bread like savory pastries, melon bread, and scones. The prices were reasonable, and all the bread was tasty. The staff seemed a bit flustered since they had just opened, but having experienced staff members for support is a good thing about chain stores. They also have an eat-in area. This bakery is definitely worth visiting again.

Koo's Counselvo is a bakery located in front of JR Nishi-Oji Station. They have an eat-in space as well. I used it for a web conference in the morning. I ordered the Tartar Fish bread and an iced coffee. Unfortunately, the fish in the bread was fried too much, making it hard to eat. It was served with Tartar Chicken, so I managed to eat it. The bread itself was delicious, but they should be more careful not to fry it too much.
