Mandarin Bar @ Mandarin Oriental Tokyo on the 37th floor is a bar located in front of Mitsukoshi. When I wanted to have tea at the Oriental Lounge on the 38th floor, it was under renovation during this season, so I was able to enjoy it at this bar. However, since it's a bar, I shifted my focus to drinking alcohol. I chose the limited edition Green Mango Beads Needs for 2,500 yen. It contains Bombay Sapphire, green mango, lime, honey, and Thai chili. It has a refreshing taste with a striking spiciness. It's really spicy, so if you don't like spicy flavors, do not order it. The taste is addictive, and you'll find yourself taking sip after sip. It might be my favorite, haha. Hydrangea is a cocktail made with rum, St. Germain, sake, myoga, and tonic. It's refreshing and easy to drink. Matatabi is a cocktail competition-winning creation. The red liquid in the cocktail glass is eye-catching. It has flavors of plum, jasmine, rose, and anise aroma sprinkled on top. It's a sweet and gentle drink that soothes you. As an appetizer, they serve olives stuffed with anchovy sauce and salted crackers, which are delicious. It's the most drinkable appetizer I've had at a bar. Truly a top-notch hotel. The Chocolate Bonbons come in a set of three for 1,430 yen, with nut, dark, and black sesame flavors. They are all delicious. The black sesame bonbon was from a different chocolatier and left a good impression, so I made the right choice. The Four Cheese Selection for 3,850 yen includes blue cheese, Parmigiano, Emmental, and Brie. But it's probably not Brie, more like a washed rind cheese. The cheeses are accompanied by thinly sliced apples, bread, dried fruits, nuts, and other side dishes. For my second drink, I chose the Chateau Coutet 2006 Sauternes. It's a dessert wine with a beautiful golden color and a ripe fruit aroma. The exciting sweetness makes you marvel at its nobility. By the way, if you become a member of MO, you can get one free non-alcoholic welcome drink. It's a refreshing drink made from Earl Grey and lychee. It was delicious. The bill came to around 8,000 yen per person. The prices are on the higher end due to it being a luxury hotel, but the atmosphere of a top-notch hotel and the relaxing time spent listening to live piano music make it worth it. Next time, I want to try the afternoon tea at the Oriental Lounge. Or maybe dinner at Sense or Signature. Thank you for the meal. #bar #cocktail #MandarinBar #alcohol #wine #MandarinOrientalTokyo #Matatabi #GreenMango #Hydrangea #dessertwine #cheese #naturalcheese #Mitsukoshimae
