I went to the bar at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo alone again. Directly connected to Mitsukoshimae subway station. As of April 1, 2021, due to the impact of the coronavirus, they are open from 12 to 9 pm. (Impressions from May 2021 visit) There are few customers now, and due to the impact of the coronavirus, the counter seats are spaced out excessively, making it a much more comfortable and luxurious space than usual. The spacing between the sofas was also surprisingly wide. There are two bartenders, a 24-year-old Japanese male and a 36-year-old Chinese male. As expected of bartenders hired by a high-end hotel, both of them were very good at handling customers, and I had a great time. They were true service specialists. Even though I was a first-time customer, they talked to me and made me feel comfortable, and I was able to have more conversations when I visited for the second time. On my third visit, I was the only customer for a few hours. The service was top-notch, so at least for now, if you go when it's not busy, it feels like a very reasonable price. I was surprised at this price for this quality of service. Before the coronavirus, the bar was always full on weekend nights, and there was apparently a waiting list. You can keep a bottle for 60 days, and it will be extended each time you visit. From the second visit onwards, you can drink by paying a seating fee. This will be the end of my review on Tabelog, but I will visit again.

It had been a year since my last visit. I went around 10pm after dinner on Thursday, and it was almost full and very lively. It was a popular bar in the Nihonbashi area, but the clientele seemed to have changed a bit. It was a bit difficult to hear my friend's conversation due to the noise level. It's a matter of personal preference and the occasion, so I hope this information can fill in the gap for future visits.

I was seated near the entrance of the Signature due to the window seats being full. Although I grumbled about wanting a better seat, being close to the live piano performance turned out to be quite nice. I chose a Martini named after the bar and enjoyed it with some snacks. It was delicious and refreshing. Thank you for the meal!

I used it before dinner. It's been a while since I visited here, it's stylish and nice. I was debating whether to sit at a table or at the counter, but since I was alone, I sat at the counter. There were many couples. The cocktails were delicious.

I visited the bar on the 37th floor of the Mandarin Hotel in Nihonbashi for the first time. As expected from Mandarin, the service was excellent from the moment I arrived. The floor was stylish and it truly felt like a top-notch bar. The night view from the 37th floor was also amazing. Rather than writing about it, I recommend experiencing it firsthand. While it may not be a place you visit casually, it is definitely a great spot to entertain important guests with drinks. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I went to my favorite Mandarin Bar with my friends this time. I really love the atmosphere and ambiance here. We ordered the Nihonbashi G&T again. The chocolate that I always order was also delicious as usual. The Nihonbashi G&T is Mandarin Bar's signature cocktail, made with Yamamotoyama's green tea. It has a strong tea flavor that you wouldn't expect just by looking at it. It was refreshing and delicious! Thank you for the meal! If you'd like, please check out my other posts as well! I also have an Instagram (@ranko_foodie). Thank you!

Mandarin Oriental Tokyo Mandarin Bar Lunch Set ¥5,060 I chose the Classic Cheeseburger as the main dish for the lunch set. Other options include Clubhouse Sandwich, Vegan Burger, Homemade Salsiccia with Sweet Long Peppers "Jiri" in White Wine Cream Sauce, Hokkaido Octopus Peperonata, Australian Beef Steak Curry Rice, and Australian Beef Rib Eye Steak Donburi with Miso Soup. The set comes with a drink, which can be beer or wine. This time, I tried the Premium Milkshake Dill x Strawberry Milkshake. Another drink in a separate glass was offered as a complimentary service, made with Mandarin Original Blend Tea, which was very easy to drink and delicious. The combination of hamburger and milkshake is something I personally hope becomes a trend.

I had dinner at a restaurant called Shewanfu and it was kind of meh. Then I came to this place, which was even more amazing. I'm not sure what it is about this place. The staff asked if we were using the bar, we said yes, and they seated us next to the piano. We had a Nippon Sour and a Kuwana Breeze. The Nippon Sour had a strong gin bitterness, while the Kuwana Breeze had a nostalgic taste of plum jam. Thank you for the meal. I may not fully appreciate the greatness of this place, but it was a nice experience. Thank you.

The piano performance is amazing, and the bar has a calm atmosphere with a beautiful view. I especially love the view from the restroom, it's so satisfying just to gaze at the scenery. Of course, the drinks are delicious too!

My friend who returned triumphantly from Mexico and I stopped by for an aperitif before dinner. I requested a window-side sofa seat for a relaxed atmosphere, and they kindly granted it (maybe because I asked cutely in English?)! We chose cocktails recommended for the season, with a summer-appropriate cocktail set on driftwood that looked great. My friend had a mocktail with a matcha base. The service was impeccable, I wanted to leave a tip. Even the olives served as a table charge snack were exceptional, with a top-notch Japanese-style flavor that impressed even my friend who just returned from Mexico. The calamari fritti we ordered was perfectly delicious. The toilet on the front floor accessed via a spiral staircase from the bar, offering a stunning view, is one of my favorite in Tokyo (I also like the toilet at the Park Hyatt, by the way). The night view from our seats, the sound of water flowing in the restaurant, and the live piano music are all wonderful. The prices are high, but I always leave satisfied and end up coming back. I'll definitely be visiting again! ♥️

You can see the Skytree from almost any seat, with a fantastic view. There was a rainbow. The accommodation plan included one drink for free, so I enjoyed a mojito and a mocktail. The yuzu scent was delicious. Each drink would cost 2000 yen, so it's expensive, but considering the seat fee, it's reasonable. I want to visit again and again.

Mandarin Bar @ Mandarin Oriental Tokyo on the 37th floor is a bar located in front of Mitsukoshi. When I wanted to have tea at the Oriental Lounge on the 38th floor, it was under renovation during this season, so I was able to enjoy it at this bar. However, since it's a bar, I shifted my focus to drinking alcohol. I chose the limited edition Green Mango Beads Needs for 2,500 yen. It contains Bombay Sapphire, green mango, lime, honey, and Thai chili. It has a refreshing taste with a striking spiciness. It's really spicy, so if you don't like spicy flavors, do not order it. The taste is addictive, and you'll find yourself taking sip after sip. It might be my favorite, haha. Hydrangea is a cocktail made with rum, St. Germain, sake, myoga, and tonic. It's refreshing and easy to drink. Matatabi is a cocktail competition-winning creation. The red liquid in the cocktail glass is eye-catching. It has flavors of plum, jasmine, rose, and anise aroma sprinkled on top. It's a sweet and gentle drink that soothes you. As an appetizer, they serve olives stuffed with anchovy sauce and salted crackers, which are delicious. It's the most drinkable appetizer I've had at a bar. Truly a top-notch hotel. The Chocolate Bonbons come in a set of three for 1,430 yen, with nut, dark, and black sesame flavors. They are all delicious. The black sesame bonbon was from a different chocolatier and left a good impression, so I made the right choice. The Four Cheese Selection for 3,850 yen includes blue cheese, Parmigiano, Emmental, and Brie. But it's probably not Brie, more like a washed rind cheese. The cheeses are accompanied by thinly sliced apples, bread, dried fruits, nuts, and other side dishes. For my second drink, I chose the Chateau Coutet 2006 Sauternes. It's a dessert wine with a beautiful golden color and a ripe fruit aroma. The exciting sweetness makes you marvel at its nobility. By the way, if you become a member of MO, you can get one free non-alcoholic welcome drink. It's a refreshing drink made from Earl Grey and lychee. It was delicious. The bill came to around 8,000 yen per person. The prices are on the higher end due to it being a luxury hotel, but the atmosphere of a top-notch hotel and the relaxing time spent listening to live piano music make it worth it. Next time, I want to try the afternoon tea at the Oriental Lounge. Or maybe dinner at Sense or Signature. Thank you for the meal. #bar #cocktail #MandarinBar #alcohol #wine #MandarinOrientalTokyo #Matatabi #GreenMango #Hydrangea #dessertwine #cheese #naturalcheese #Mitsukoshimae

- Bird Trip *Limited Time Only* Inspired by Hong Kong's "lovebird" tea, this cocktail combines coffee and tea. - Smooth Martini with Korean Tea *Limited Time Only* Escape the daily hustle and bustle and enjoy a luxurious moment with a dazzling night view at this bar on the 37th floor, with a concept of "Modern Japanese." One of my favorite bars that I frequently visit. I was impressed by the peacock design served on this day as a limited edition. It was almost too beautiful to drink, but the cocktail was easy to drink even for women with a subtle taste that you wouldn't think was made with coffee. Personally, I usually only drink alcohol straight without any chaser, but I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Martini made with Korean tea. Why not spend this evening with a cocktail enjoyed from a high-rise floor?

The flow of energy feels good and I like to visit this wonderful place where I can see both Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower. It's a great place to lift my spirits when needed. The daytime and nighttime views are amazing. This time, I decided to visit the bar at night. When my olives and rice crackers ran out, they brought more, which made me happy. I requested a drink with a cherry blossom theme, and it came with a strawberry on top. Although the strawberry seemed small compared to the glass, the atmosphere was fantastic!

The seating is good, the atmosphere is nice, the service is good, and the location is convenient as it is an area I often visit. It's a hotel bar so the prices are not cheap, but considering the quality, it's actually reasonable. It tends to get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, and during the pandemic it was smooth, but by March 2023 it was bustling as usual. The guests around are mostly elite foreign financial professionals, venture capitalists, and high-income individuals, with fewer rich old men like those at Okura or Imperial Hotel, which I find comfortable. The counter stools are high but comfortable to sit on. If it's not busy, they will seat even two people at the lounge sofa seats upon request, which is nice. Priority is given to hotel guests, so it's recommended to come either to stay and drop by casually or around 7 pm. After 9 pm, you'll definitely have to wait. The night view from the stairs to the front desk above the bar is also romantic for couples. There is live piano music. The fact that the restroom is inside the bar eliminates the need to go to the front desk area, maintaining a fun atmosphere without interruption. I will visit again. Thank you for always taking care of me (^_^)

I visited this bar after dinner because I wanted to have a drink. Located on the 37th floor of the Mandarin Hotel building, this bar creates a space for adults with its beautiful decor, atmosphere, and view from the window. Since it was my birthday the day before, my companion treated me to a cake. The cake, called KUMO, is apparently a very popular dessert that usually requires a ticket to purchase. Luckily, we were able to try it because there was a cancellation. Breaking the chocolate shell and eating it with the filling was a delightful surprise - it was a rich banana flavor. It's like a luxurious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate banana. It was so delicious that it paired well with the drinks. I am grateful to the shop and the waiter who created such a wonderful moment.

After enjoying delicious chicken sukiyaki at the historical structure-themed restaurant, it felt like I had time-traveled from a Showa-era atmosphere to the near future when I arrived at this place. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to use it for a second round. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel on the 37th floor exudes elegance and sophistication. Looking out the window through the glass, the view is truly fitting for a "modern castle." The concept of "Modern Japanese" is evident in the menu and interior design, with glimpses of the beauty of Japan within the freshness. The cocktails also have a touch of Japanese essence, making it the perfect place to relax. Now, it's time to go home. A taxi ride back with a smile. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ♫

37th floor of Mandarin Hotel! For the second visit, I sat at the counter and ordered an original cocktail, which was around 2,500 yen per glass. I also ordered the cocktail recommended by the staff, along with mixed nuts and truffle potato fries. The truffle potato fries were quite generous even in a half portion, with a great aroma and taste. Olive and snacks were included as well. With this order, the total came to around 8,000 yen. The atmosphere is nice, with a wide variety of options. I will definitely come back here!

When I went in the summer, I was refused entry because I violated the dress code (wearing shorts). I felt a bit uncomfortable with the way they handled it, but well, it's their rules so I couldn't really complain. Personally, I tend to think that if something like this happens to me, I wouldn't go back, but I guess the reason I keep going back is because the atmosphere there is top-notch. However, the drinks are just okay. Not bad, but not outstanding either. Still, the atmosphere and service make up for it. Experiencing this kind of otherworldly ambiance right in the heart of Tokyo is also a plus. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the 37th floor of Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, I visited for the first time during weekend dinner time with a reservation for the Champagne & Cocktail Free Flow plan. To avoid crowds, I arrived early. The dress code is "casual elegance", but it seemed quite normal, possibly due to the day and time. The view of the city center is impressive, depending on the seat. This time, I was seated at a sofa with a night view. The plan is for 90 minutes with last order at 60 minutes. It includes a selection of appetizers and olives & snacks. There is a wide variety of over 20 cocktails to choose from. I started with a sharp vodka-based Martini and a well-balanced Champagne (Charles Heidsieck, Brut Reserve N.V). Although I was looking forward to the Champagne free flow, the cocktails were great, so I continued with a recommended fizz cocktail and a whiskey-based cocktail. When I asked for a Champagne refill at last order, they also brought more olives & snacks. The 90 minutes flew by, but I had a fulfilling time overall. I plan to stop by after work next time.

The bar and name are there, but during the day, it's a different kind of enjoyment. You can enjoy milkshakes and cakes with live piano music. The variety of shakes and cakes is plentiful. I chose pistachio shake and crème brûlée. Later, I ordered a black hot coffee. Both the shake and brûlée were very, very delicious. And, as expected from Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the service was perfect. It was more than a hundred points, it was hospitality beyond expectations. Thank you very much.
