孤高のグルメ☆
I stayed at this hotel for a week and decided to visit this restaurant. I enjoyed cocktails at the neighboring bar "Kohaku" while watching the sunset, and when the sun had set, I walked about 20 steps to this restaurant and had a wonderful teppanyaki meal. I already knew that the food here was fantastic because the Wagyu beef jerky I had at "Kohaku" was incredibly tender and flavorful. Many people seem to want this amazing beef jerky as a souvenir, but it is a specialty only available at this bar. At the moment, the course options are as follows: 5 dishes for 18,000 yen per person, 7 dishes for 26,000 yen per person, and 8 dishes for 30,000 yen per person. I always ordered the 7-dish course, but the 5-dish course should be sufficient. If you still feel a bit peckish later, there is a superb Chinese restaurant called "Ichigai" nearby, so no problem there (laughs). The best recommended seats are the ones on the right just after entering. Not only do you have a direct view, but the right side is also transparent, allowing for a wider view of the night scenery. Otherwise, any seat at the counter, whether in the front or back, is also good. By a certain age, you should have visited most of Kyoto's famous tourist spots, and even if they are wonderful, with a keen sense of aesthetics, visiting 2-3 places a day is the limit. For adults who work hard in their jobs and may not have time for souvenirs, for example, take a day off and head to Kyoto in the early afternoon, have 1-2 cocktails at Park Hyatt Kyoto's "Kohaku" at sunset, then have an early dinner at "Yasaka" here before taking the last train back to Tokyo. Just doing this will give you a level of satisfaction where you can fully enjoy Kyoto. The greatness of such a space can only be truly appreciated with the money you have earned. Am I being stingy? I don't want to bring someone who cannot appreciate each aspect of the view, decor, and service with a sharp palate and sensibility (laughs). Due to reservations from local dignitaries, the restaurant is quite busy even during the pandemic, so reservations are essential. Once the COVID situation calms down, it will be difficult to spend such a time in Kyoto. To become a cool person in your 40s, it is essential to experience some financial difficulties or embarrassment in your 20s and 30s. Gentlemen, try to experience the top-level service of such world-class hotels as much as possible. *For business meetings, special adult dates, or showing filial piety.
