The master's workplace holds an annual company trip here, and it's so good that they brought me and my mother along. We enjoyed crab and hot springs for one night. We drove to Amanohashidate for sightseeing before arriving at Goro-bei. Be careful when following the car navigation, as it may lead you through narrow residential streets to the parking lot. Since we went on a weekday, there were only two other guests besides us. The room was spacious and quiet, and we could have the private bath all to ourselves whenever we wanted. Weekdays are the best! Now, onto the food. The photos are from the master's company trip, but the menu is pretty much the same. Boiled crab, grilled crab, crab chirashi, crab hot pot, grilled crab shell, crab sashimi, crab tempura, and crab porridge are all included in the dinner. In addition, we also had crab sake (a pre-dinner drink), crab tofu, and bara-zushi. The portions are quite generous. The three of us couldn't finish everything, so we packed the boiled crab and bara-zushi as souvenirs and ate them the next day after returning home (this strategy may not work if you're traveling by train or on a warm day). Even skipping the boiled crab, we were already full after the hot pot and porridge. Personally, I'm not a big fan of crab, but I can tell that the taste is clean without any fishy or unpleasant flavors. I got really thirsty at night, but it's understandable after eating so much seafood. For breakfast, we had grilled fish and onsen tamago, a Japanese-style meal. The rice was delicious. This place is a luxurious treat once a year. *Check-in: 3:00 PM / Check-out: 10:00 AM *Dinner: 6:00 PM / Breakfast: 8:00 AM *Baths available from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, separate baths for men and women at different times *For an additional 150 yen hot spring tax, you can use the baths even if you're attending a daytime banquet *They also brew soy sauce and sell souvenirs (no tours of the soy sauce brewery)
