Not many people may know that there is a "Super Spicy" version of Pirikare available. I recently tried the Pirikare Super Spicy (108 yen), which takes the spiciness to another level while still maintaining a delicious curry flavor. However, it is extremely spicy and not recommended for those who are not confident in handling heat. It is spicier than Peanuts' super spicy MAX and even spicier than the reputedly hottest cup ramen, Mouko Tanmen Kyokoku flavor. It took me over an hour to finish eating it. Overall, it is a snack with a balance of spiciness and flavor. It is a rare find, and I wish it was more readily available (only found in one store in Obihiro). If you enjoy spicy food, I recommend giving it a try.

Located a 18-minute walk from Keihan Nakashojima Station, our shop has a parking lot. Established in 1952, our shop is the original creator of the famous "Yokozuna Arare," which may seem common elsewhere. Surrounded by no other shops, our location may surprise you. Part of our own building is used as a direct sales store. Although the shop is small, it offers a variety of flavors of Yokozuna Arare, making it a fun place to browse. I purchased the Yokozuna Arare Dressing flavor, a signature product of our shop, and the Yokozuna Arare White Miso flavor recommended by the staff. Each bag costs 130 yen including tax. The Dressing flavor had a familiar taste that made me feel like I've had it before. Once I started eating it, I couldn't stop. The White Miso flavor had a strong white miso taste with a hint of sweetness. Another addictive flavor. These snacks bring back nostalgic memories. I hope they continue to be preserved for a long time.

I asked women in the workplace, and it seems that I sometimes see Tengu Seika's arare at the supermarket. I asked someone and went to the factory to buy matsutake and curry flavors. There were no houses, no pedestrians, and it was a shocking area for me. There was only arare and a salesperson in one corner of the factory. I bought only matsutake and curry flavors. It cost 240 yen. Matsutake tasted like Nagatanien's o-suimono, and the curry flavor was delicious with a spicy taste.

Actually, embarrassingly enough, I had no idea that Tengu Seika was in Kyoto at all. And it turns out it's so close by... I guess I have to go visit, right? This place doesn't sell irregular or surplus products, just regular ones. 1 bag for 100 yen + tax, 6 bags for 500 yen + tax, 12 bags for 1000 yen + tax. Hmm... that's not really cheap at all... (´・ω・｀) The only benefit is that they have various flavors. But when I visited, there were no products from other prefectures at all. I ended up buying 6 bags, but I'll probably just have a sumo cracker party or give them to someone. Nevertheless, Fushimi Ward is a treasure trove of factory direct stores, huh? (´-`).｡oO

When I checked the manufacturer of the "Yokozuna Age" that I purchased, I found out that it was from this shop. It is a dressing-flavored Yokozuna Age. The color of the fried coating is darker than regular Yokozuna Age, which gives it a unique appearance. The greasiness is similar to regular Yokozuna Age. The texture is not too hard, but rather gentle. The saltiness is relatively light, which I found to be good as it's not too salty. Overall, I still think Yokozuna Age is delicious. I would like to have it again sometime.

On weekends, my favorite thing to do is watch the videos I've recorded with some snacks. Today is especially great because it's Premium Friday and I was able to leave work at 4 pm. I'm in a great mood! Tonight's snack is the Yokozuna Arare from Tengu Seika. Once I start eating them, I can't stop because they are so delicious. Recommended at Lawson 100, I was skeptical but decided to purchase. The curry flavor was surprisingly authentic and quite spicy, not like other curry-flavored snacks. The quantity is also generous with 130g in the pack. These shrimp crackers have a proper curry taste and all for just 108 yen! Amazing cost performance. Perfect for enjoying with beer. Definitely worth a try!
