Opening the door with excitement, you are greeted warmly by the female owner behind the small counter. There are only counter seats in the cozy shop, and there are no other customers. I visit with a friend. We order a cake set and while waiting, we have a pleasant conversation with the friendly owner, making it a very enjoyable and peaceful time. The interior is stylish and cute. In a calming space, we enjoy tea and tart. The owner kindly agrees to cut two types of cake in half so that my friend and I can share. Grateful! A customer who came in later was also friendly and easy to talk to, and we had a brief conversation with them. It is clear that the customers who come here are all nice people. Most of the cakes are available for takeout, and some customers come specifically to buy them. The shop has been open for about two years, and the owner has been studying confectionery in the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe area. As a result, the quality of the sweets is high. The cakes were so delicious that both my friend and I bought a different type of cake to take home. It has become a favorite shop for us. I would love to visit again. You enter through what looks like a back door of the building. Inside, it is a small workshop with only counter seats, giving a very workshop-like atmosphere. Their main offering seems to be whole cakes, but you can also use it as a cafe. Their signature dish is the Shubusto cake. It is made by thinly layering sliced apples on a pie crust, then topping it with a thick cream made of custard and meringue before baking. The cream is cooked through, giving it a fine, elastic texture like pudding. While many other places caramelize the top, this one is sprinkled with powdered sugar. The fluffy cream and crunchy apples create a nice contrast. It's a cake with a refined sweetness.
