わんわんきんた
Located on the south side of Kitano Middle School, I found this place on Tabelog. If you walk a little west down the street, you'll see it right away with its striking red door. When I visited around noon, a friendly motherly figure was reading the newspaper. This place also has a salon attached, and it seemed like someone was currently using it. The interior is unified with red tones, giving off a chic cafe vibe. There are about 5 red counter seats and a red sofa with fluffy cushions. It could accommodate around 6 people comfortably. When I asked if they served rice dishes, they kindly replied, "Please take a seat." The cozy sofa was very calming. Looking at the menu, they offered items like Pilaf for 650 yen, Curry starting at 750 yen, and Pasta for 800 yen. There was also Corn Soup for 200 yen. You could add 100 yen to the Pilaf for extra toppings. The Mild Vegetable Curry for 750 yen caught my eye, and I ordered it. A friendly gentleman took my order, exuding a cool vibe. First, they brought out water and a warm towel, both in red. The relaxing music in the background helped me unwind while I waited for about 10 minutes... Finally, the Curry arrived, steaming hot. Interestingly, they even switched my water glass when serving the dish! I dug in right away. The rice was shaped like a rugby ball with parsley on top. The curry was of the smooth variety. As the name suggests, it was very mild. However, the rich aroma of spices was irresistible! The spiciness gradually crept up on me, leaving a lingering heat. The flavor was indescribably rich. As the menu indicated, the curry was packed with vegetables - onions, carrots, red bell peppers, cucumber, and fried potatoes. The fried cucumber had a unique texture, while the potatoes were tender and fragrant. The creamy sauce added depth and enhanced the mildness. The spiciness was addictive, and I found myself enjoying it more with each bite. This place is actually a dog cafe. I had been looking forward to meeting the Golden Retriever, but it seemed like it wasn't around today. However, another dog appeared and greeted me before heading back out. It was adorable! The dog eventually came back and peacefully napped inside the shop. Unfortunately, the other dog was not present at the moment. Despite that, I had a relaxing time enjoying the spicy curry and being comforted by the dogs. The staff was warm and welcoming. While the portions may be small, the flavors are satisfying. This place offers something that fills your heart beyond just your taste buds. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will definitely visit again. If you're feeling tired lately, I highly recommend stopping by this place for a heartwarming and smile-inducing experience.
