There was a kind-looking old lady running the place by herself. It may take a little longer if you order more than two items, but the taste is delicious. Since I was alone, she gave me a small discount at the checkout, maybe because it was my first time there. In return, she said to come back again, so I would like to visit again!

A friend and I went to a teppanyaki (okonomiyaki) restaurant after shopping. We couldn't find any dining options when walking from Kintetsu Kyoto Line Kamitobaguchi Station eastward to Kyoto Municipal Subway Kuinabashi Station, so we ended up walking towards Route 24 from Kuinabashi and spotted a neon sign. The name was "Teppanyaki Rarirurero." Finally, we could have a meal, and when we reached the sign, we found the restaurant tucked away in a corner. Inside, there was only one male customer enjoying a bottle of beer while watching a baseball game on TV. When we entered, the lady managing the restaurant greeted us. As we could sit anywhere, we chose a tatami room, ordered a draft beer, and some appetizers like "pork kimchi," "tofu steak," "teppanyaki-style chicken," and "grilled beef tendon." After ordering, the lady started cooking our food on the griddle at the counter. After a 5-minute wait, our appetizers arrived on mini griddles. The flavors of garlic and chili pepper were just right and went well with the beer. We then added an okonomiyaki (pork and cabbage pancake) and enjoyed some chu-hai as well. The total bill for the two of us came to 5,100 yen. Since we sat in the tatami room, we could relax and enjoy our meal.

I came to this restaurant because it was named after the famous manga "Rarirurero." I ordered Okonomiyaki (pork and cabbage) and a beer. The Okonomiyaki sizzled on the grill, was flipped, and then covered in sauce. It was delicious. There are few bad Okonomiyaki out there, but this one is really good. The beer goes down smoothly. This is the good stuff.
