There were four condiments available, allowing you to adjust the acidity or spiciness to your liking, so you won't get tired of it until the end. As for the Khao Man Gai, the taste was a bit subtle. You eat it with a sauce that has a strong ginger flavor. The balance between the meat and rice was not quite right, leaving me with leftover rice.

For lunch, I decided to try a set meal instead of ramen, so I visited "Izakaya Kato Koban Shokudo" along Imadegawa Street for the first time. The spacious interior had recommendations for "Karaage Set Meal" and "Khao Man Gai" on the wall, and I was intrigued by the all-you-can-drink option for 500 yen for 30 minutes. Looking at the lunch set menu, everything looked delicious, but I was particularly interested in the "Gapao Rice" which I had never tried before, so I ordered the "Gapao Rice Set (850 yen)". Soon, a plate with sunny-side-up egg-topped Gapao Rice, karaage, salad, and soup arrived. I was lucky to have the recommended karaage included! I tried the stir-fried vegetables and ground chicken first, and the ethnic aroma and spiciness made it incredibly appetizing. Breaking the sunny-side-up egg revealed a perfectly runny yolk, which paired well with the rice. The karaage was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, bursting with the flavor of chicken, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious! I finished it in no time! It was my first time trying "Gapao Rice", and it was so tasty! I saw a "Karaage Set Meal" being served at the table next to me, with about 10 pieces stacked like a mountain, so next time I'm torn between trying the "Karaage Set Meal" or the also untried "Khao Man Gai". It is a dual-purpose restaurant, serving set meals during the day and izakaya dishes at night. The famous dish is the generous portion of fried chicken set meal, but they also offer Thai dishes like green curry and gapao rice. What I had: - Chicken fried set meal (750 yen) - A generous serving of chicken karaage. It came with rice, daikon soup, and a side dish (chicken soboro). Each piece was small, so it felt a bit lacking compared to other set meals in the area.

The fried chicken set meal was delicious with a great volume for 700 yen. The flavor of the sansho pepper was amazing and addictive!

There is a parade of fried foods, but the prices are reasonable and the taste is delicious. The volume of the fried chicken set meal and the thickness of the minced cutlet are noteworthy. The rice portion is also very generous.

This is a new, clean restaurant that opened last year (2018). It's not very busy yet, probably because it's a little far from Hyakumanben. The food is typical, but the portions are huge. If you order a large serving of rice (for free), they give you a comic book-sized amount, and the side dishes are very satisfying. I ordered the fried chicken set meal and it was delicious. The coating was crispy and the inside was juicy. The seasoning was more like magic salt than the usual garlic flavor.
