100-point all-you-can-eat for 2,080 yen for adults and 500 yen for children. I forgot the price of the drink bar. With an AEON app coupon, the children were half price, so they enjoyed eating and were happy. I feel it's cheap because I can't do this at home. There is a parking lot with the first hour free. With a purchase of one yen or more in the store, you can receive a 60-minute service QR code receipt.

There is a self-fry kushikatsu restaurant located in the Yodobashi Camera tenant in front of Kyoto Station, as well as in the "AEON Mall Katsuragawa" which opened in 2014. Customers can fry their favorite ingredients on the fryer placed in the middle of the table and enjoy them. You can choose from a variety of sauces and it's okay to double-dip. In addition to kushikatsu, they offer a wide range of other dishes, rice dishes, salads, desserts, and drinks. The small kushikatsu pieces make it easy to try many different options without getting tired. The all-you-can-eat course is 70 minutes for lunch on weekdays (from 11:00 to 16:00) and 100 minutes on weekends and holidays. There is a discount for elementary school students. The restaurant has box-type table seats, making it suitable for groups. AEON Mall Katsuragawa is directly connected to JR Katsuragawa Station, making it convenient for visitors.

All-you-can-eat skewers! This restaurant offers a variety of skewers in bite-sized portions, so you can definitely find ones that suit your taste. You can try different types or enjoy multiple servings of your favorite skewers. It's exciting to have so many options to choose from! They also offer curry, rice, hamburgers, and salad for a satisfying meal. The variety of sauces, especially the miso sauce, was delicious. Even on a bad day, the food here will comfort you. If you're feeling down, treat yourself to a bellyful of skewers and then get some rest. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

It's been a while since I had dinner here. I remembered that the skewers were small and you could try lots of different kinds, so I decided to visit again. I came before it got crowded, so the restaurant was empty and comfortable. Everything was freshly fried and delicious just like before. What was memorable this time was the Baumkuchen skewer, surprisingly it was really good. They have a wide variety of skewers, as well as salads and desserts, so I recommend it. I'll definitely come back here when I feel like eating again.

Weekday, Friday, 11:10 am, entered the restaurant. It wasn't crowded yet, so it was my first time at Kushimaru and I wasn't sure how things worked, but I received a thorough explanation. The lunch set was ¥1408 including tax, and the drink bar was half price at ¥110 including tax. The total bill was ¥1518 including tax. I was able to eat more than I expected! (^_^) I stayed for about 1 hour. Thank you for the meal.

Today I went to Aeon Mall to watch a movie, and afterwards I visited this place. In Kansai, kushikatsu is considered a must-eat food along with takoyaki and okonomiyaki, but surprisingly I don't eat it often, just as a snack at standing bars. Today, I decided to eat until I got tired of it. I had been to Kushikatsu Tanaka before, so it felt quite similar. They bring you raw skewers and you dip them in breadcrumbs yourself, that's it. They offer a variety of options including meat, seafood (shrimp, squid, and smelt fish), vegetables, takoyaki, and konjac. The sauces range from thick to light, even ponzu, so you can enjoy different flavors. The taste is quite good. However, the timing of frying seems random, and the breadcrumbs are not evenly coated, so I imagine it would taste even better if cooked with care. The 70-minute time limit feels short if you want to enjoy dessert after the meal. Speaking of dessert, the cream puff is okay, but the almond jelly is just a hard white jelly, and the side menu soba is hard with a bland dipping sauce. Still, it's great that you can enjoy kushikatsu at a low price, and it's fine to dine alone.

In front of Keigawa Station on the JR Tokaido Line, on the 2nd floor of Aeon Mall Keigawa, there is a restaurant called Rakunishi Koji (restaurant street). It is a self-service kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) buffet restaurant. They offer a wide variety of skewers. Unlike the omakase course often found in kushikatsu restaurants, you can eat as much as you like of your favorite items here, which is nice. However, the kushikatsu here is not particularly memorable. *I forgot to take a photo, so I took a picture of the exterior at a later date.

I was happy that my friend accidentally spilled water but was kindly taken care of. There were many variations of skewers which was enjoyable, and the sweet mochi was delicious.

I went to "Kushi Katsu Tabehoudai Kushi Maru, AEON Katsuragawa store" with my family. We stopped by on our way back from shopping because we were hungry before dinner time. You pick the skewers yourself in a buffet style, fry them at your table, and eat. In addition to skewers, there are various noodles, curry, rice, and soup (I think it was miso soup), so you won't get bored. I gathered the things I wanted to eat and sat down. I fried and ate them one after another, and they were delicious. If I may say so, I wish there were a few more types and quantities of skewers. Maybe it was because we went in the late afternoon, but there were few skewers of each type and the variety was limited. It might be different at a different time. I thought it would be easier to eat if the seats were a little bigger so that there would be more space for food. I ate until I got heartburn. The kids enjoyed it, but they said they had had enough because of the oil. I wonder if I'll go again next time...

It's a bit refreshing to review the shop I often use. This shop allows you to fry your favorite ingredients freely and eat as much as you want, it's an all-you-can-eat shop. Compared to a certain tempura specialty shop in Kitashinchi that offers a 15-piece course for 10,000 yen, the quality of ingredients, breadcrumbs, and flour may be lower, but the taste can vary depending on how well it's fried. If each piece is carefully fried and the potential of the ingredients is fully brought out, they can all be enjoyed reasonably well. There are usually around 30 types of ingredients available, including the usual pork, shrimp, onions, green peppers, and even octopus. I recommend the pork-wrapped enoki mushrooms, they go really well together. I don't usually eat side dishes, but they offer salads, fried foods, soba, and white rice as standard menu items. By the way, they don't have a chocolate fountain like at "Kushiyamonogatari"! It's a reasonably priced shop, so the quality of the ingredients is decent, and I think it's satisfying in terms of cost-effectiveness. *I accidentally lost the photos I took for this review (T_T) I apologize, but this time I will post without photos. *

【Menu】- All-you-can-eat lunch for 70 minutes: 1,382 yen- Drink bar: 216 yen【Comment】Visited "AEON Mall Katsuragawa" in Minami Ward, Kyoto City. The nearest stations are "JR Katsuragawa" or "Hankyu Rakusai-guchi". If taking the Hankyu train, be careful not to mistake the nearest station as "Hankyu Katsura". For those driving, parking is free for the first 2 hours. Spend over 2,000 yen and get an additional 2 hours free, allowing for up to 4 hours of free parking. Like most AEON malls, this one has a restaurant area on the 2nd floor and a food court on the 3rd floor. The restaurant "Kushimaru" is located in the 2nd floor restaurant area known as Rakusai-koji. While there are many all-you-can-eat kushikatsu restaurants nationwide, "Kushimaru" seems to have only 4 locations based on my research. It is said to be affiliated with the restaurant chain "Kushikatsu Ryori Katsu". Customers select ingredients from a buffet-style setup, fry them at their table using the provided flyer, and enjoy. The lunch price is usually 1,706 yen (1,580 yen + tax) for 70 minutes, but on my visit, it was 1,382 yen (1,280 yen + tax). Perhaps it was a special offer, but I don't quite remember. The taste of the food was nothing extraordinary, but considering the all-you-can-eat price, the cost performance is excellent. The act of frying your own food may be enjoyable for first-timers, and freshly fried food is always delicious. One downside was that the oil didn't seem very clean, possibly due to reuse. Another drawback was the limited side menu options. Overall, considering the lunch price of 1,280 yen + tax, the restaurant offers decent taste and excellent cost performance.

I went to the Aeon Katsuragawa store with my relatives' children and we decided to have dinner together before heading home. The children requested to go to "Kushi Maru" and we lined up around 5:45 pm on a Saturday. The place was already crowded with families lining up one after another, indicating that it is a popular spot for families. They offer all-you-can-eat kushikatsu for 1980 yen, where you can choose from over 20 different skewers and then coat and fry them yourself at the table. Some of the skewers we tried and enjoyed were pork-wrapped bitter melon, quail eggs, cheese fish cake, ginger, lotus root, and shrimp. However, the side dishes like the marinated squid, octopus, and okra lacked flavor as the octopus was barely present. Adding salt improved the taste. The "chilled pork and onion" dish was a bit tough with a strong onion flavor. But for 1980 yen, the all-you-can-eat deal is worth it, and the soft-serve ice cream dessert, which you can extract yourself from a machine, was a big hit. The children had fun coating and frying their own skewers, as it was a unique experience for them. Despite the disappointing side dishes, the variety of bite-sized skewers make this a great place for a fun and lively dining experience with a large group of people.

We went shopping with our family at Aeon Mall Kyoto Katsuragawa and ended up having dinner at a restaurant in the mall because it was getting late. The kids insisted on going to this all-you-can-eat kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) place. I used to go to Kushikatsu restaurant often in the past, but as I've gotten older, I've been avoiding these types of all-you-can-eat places. I was curious to see how much we could eat this time. The price was reasonable at 1,980 yen per adult (excluding tax). They had a wide variety of kushikatsu skewers, and just trying them all would result in quite a lot of deep-fried food. They also had side dishes, salads, noodles, curry, etc. The bulgogi-style chicken, crispy and fried to perfection, was a favorite among all of us. In the end, we ate to our heart's content. For 1,980 yen, it was a great deal to enjoy a variety of food. However, there was one disappointing incident. Right in front of us while we were eating, a staff member was dragging a large commercial trash can, overflowing with cans and trash, through the restaurant. The staff member was trying to pull it out from the entrance, but was stopped by customers paying at the cashier. The staff member then left the trash can right next to the buffet area, in full view of the dining customers. It was quite insensitive to expose a commercial trash can in front of customers who were still eating. It was almost 10 pm, so they were probably trying to clean up quickly and prepare to close, but with several groups of customers still there, the convenience of the restaurant should not come before the customers. Having a trash removal route inside the restaurant in the first place is unusual, and doing it during business hours is even more so. This is not just a problem with the individual staff member, but a problem with the restaurant itself. It was very disappointing and it interrupted our meal. I hope they improve this promptly. Customers are there to enjoy their meal, after all.

The newly opened Ion Kyoto Katsuragawa store has been open for about a month now. There seems to be a clear difference between popular and less popular restaurants here. I wanted to try a slightly popular restaurant, so I came here. It was a weekday, a little past 7 pm. There were 2 groups of customers waiting. We were seated in less than 10 minutes. We ordered the all-you-can-eat fried skewers for 2 people at 2138 yen (tax included) each, and the drink bar for 2 people at 216 yen (tax included) each. Since it was our first time at this restaurant, we asked for an explanation of the system, but the explanation was lacking in details such as frying time and safety. The all-you-can-eat lasts for 90 minutes and includes about 20 types of skewers such as beef, pork, chicken, sausages, mushrooms, potatoes, etc. The salad mainly consists of fresh vegetables with potato and macaroni salad. There are 3 side dishes (pork and daikon stew, fried chicken, meatballs) and soba noodles. Rice, miso soup, tea pickles, and other pickles are also available. Desserts include a few frozen options, fruits like pineapple and oranges, soft serve ice cream with 3 types of sauce. The all-you-can-eat experience here is similar to other places in terms of taste and price, but being located within a supermarket, the price is about 500 yen cheaper than other "Kushimaru" chain stores during dinner time. Please ask the staff for breadcrumbs and flour refills. The portions are small. The potato items are boiled, so they cook quickly. The skewers are easy to eat as they have a mild breadcrumb taste. However, the impression of this type of restaurant can change based on how well they tidy up the tables during service, so I hope to see improvement in this area in the future. My husband and I, who love to eat, enjoyed our 90-minute meal. Thank you for the meal.

On weekdays, you can enjoy 100 minutes of all-you-can-eat for 1,980 yen (excluding tax) and a soft drink bar for 200 yen (excluding tax). You fry the food yourself using the flyers on the table. It can be difficult to get more breadcrumbs when the container starts to run low, as there are no staff readily available. The skewers were all delicious, but I wish there were more basic options available. Overall, the freshly fried food was enjoyable and you can eat a lot. The side menu seemed like more of an afterthought, and it may vary depending on the day. Overall, it was okay, nothing too special.

In May 2016, I revisited this restaurant a little late, but it's a place where children can enjoy the fun of making their own food. There are various ingredients available, but this time the highlight was the "kiss basil". The basil flavor added a nice touch and it was delicious. They also offer rice dishes like inari sushi, chirashi sushi, curry, ochazuke, catering to individual preferences. Children seem to enjoy boiling their own soba noodles. The only downside is that it's located a bit high up. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience this time as well. It's my first time visiting this restaurant among the many in Aeon Mall. After some hesitation, I decided to try this place as it seemed enjoyable for children. It was during the Golden Week period, but since it was a weekday, we were seated immediately. The ingredients are in a buffet style, where you can pick what you like and fry it at your table. Children can have fun coating the food in breadcrumbs and eating it. The food fries up crispy without splattering oil. Among the various ingredients available, the best one was the one with cherry tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese. When you bite into it, the hot juice and basil flavor spread in your mouth. Apart from skewers, they also offer salads, side dishes, soba noodles, and desserts, ensuring a fun experience till the end. The children have found a new favorite restaurant.

Ion Mall Katsuragawa opened in October, and I knew it would be crowded right after opening, so I waited a bit and visited on a weekday two weeks later. The parking lot is incredibly spacious, but surprisingly, the mall was quite empty (lol). I browsed around without buying anything and headed to the restaurant area. Most places open at 11:00, and to my surprise, people started flocking to the restaurant area. Nothing really caught my interest, but it had been a while since I had eaten kushikatsu, so I decided to try it at a restaurant where you pay 1580 yen plus tax for a 90-minute all-you-can-eat kushikatsu experience. When it comes to all-you-can-eat kushikatsu, "Kushiya Monogatari" is well-known, but this place was far from impressive. In fact, it was a disaster! I mentioned the price as 1580 yen plus tax earlier, but in reality, I ended up paying over 1700 yen. It was truly a waste of money. I didn't even take any photos, that's how bad it was.

The day before the grand opening of Aeon Mall Kyoto Katsura River store, I happened to visit this store. I heard that the Aeon Mall was opening on the 17th, but as I was driving on Nishioji Street, I saw a guard holding a sign for the Aeon Mall parking lot. Could it be that they are already having a soft opening? I decided to check it out, and sure enough, they were already open for business as usual. I originally planned to go to Hamburg & Steak Amake, but there was already a line outside the store. Since I didn't have time to wait, I decided to go to this restaurant across the street. This was my first time at Kushi Maru, a place where you can eat all-you-can-eat kushikatsu, similar to the ones often found in major commercial facilities. You pick your ingredients (about 20 varieties of meat and vegetables), fry them at your table using the fryer provided, and enjoy. There were about 8 different sauces available, and a variety of salts including regular salt, matcha salt, and sansho pepper salt. In addition to kushikatsu, they also offered curry, soba, and several other dishes, along with unlimited rice, salad, soft serve ice cream, and dessert. The taste was average, nothing exceptional, but then again, kushikatsu tends to have a similar taste no matter where you eat it (laughs). The lunch was around 1,500 yen? I was full, thank you for the meal.
