神大寺のかず坊2
I was quite tired after walking around during my day trip to Kyoto on November 16th (Wednesday). This time, I used a travel package called "Zurashi Tabi," which included round-trip transportation and a "choose your experience" option for 18,800 yen. There are several different experiences to choose from in Kyoto, but due to limited time, I decided to go up Kyoto Tower (by elevator) at the very end. Well, the night view is nice, but since Kyoto doesn't have tall buildings, I personally think the daytime view is better. However, it was nice to receive a 1,000 yen coupon that can be used at the shops there. I made sure to buy souvenirs on the 1st floor before the shop closed at 8:30 pm and used the coupon there. The basement floor has various dining options and gives off a youthful vibe. I entered the restaurant at 8:06 pm, with an hour to spare before catching the 9:15 pm Nozomi train. Let's have a quick drink and snack since I had ramen at 5:00 pm. Orders are made using a tablet. I started with a bottle of beer, a small bottle of Super Dry. The sushi ranged from 110 yen plates to 550 yen plates, with a total of 8 types available. Tuna and fresh squid were 110 yen each, cheaper than Sushiro. After sanitizing my throat with Super Dry, I ordered four plates of sushi: Tekka Maki, Yellowtail, Tuna, and Whelk. The tuna was cheap as expected, a bit watery. However, the Yellowtail and Whelk were delicious. The kitchen is located one level above the counter, so you can't see the chefs at work, but there seems to be a sushi rice molding machine, possibly operated by a "sushi robot." They also had a fair featuring the Goto Islands of Nagasaki, but visiting earlier is better as many items were sold out by 8:00 pm.
