"I have always been curious about the enchanting Balinese cuisine. The restaurant was closed for lunch, but I tried their delicious dishes for dinner. The Udang soup, a spicy shrimp soup with a hint of lemon, was delightful. The Mie Goreng, a Balinese-style fried noodles, was flavorful. The Puluk Del Jagan, a corn fritter dish, was a perfect match with beer."

The friendly manager and the atmosphere inside the restaurant are really great! Fridays are relatively quiet and you can relax. It's nice to go with a few people or even alone to chat with the manager at the counter. The overall vibe is very comfortable. My recommendation is the coconut ice cream for a refreshing treat (laughs).

Get into the Indonesian mood here! The owner is a very friendly Indonesian person and the interior of the restaurant feels like Bali! They have a wide variety of cocktails that will make you feel like you're at a resort. The food is delicious too, I always order the Satay Ayam. The Ayam Curry is really easy to eat and tasty!

I discovered a delicious dish called Nasi Goreng at this restaurant 10 years ago. I decided to visit again after learning that they have started serving lunch this month. The staff is friendly and fluent in Japanese. I will try a different menu this time. Although I have never been to Indonesia, I believe the dishes are adjusted to suit Japanese taste. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cozy, clean, and inviting. From the soup to the tea, everything is delicious.

Authentic Balinese cuisine! The moment you step out of the elevator, you feel like you're in Bali with all the decorations and ornaments imported from there. The dishes are prepared by Balinese chefs and taste truly authentic. The spiciness adds to the deliciousness. They also offer a wide variety of cocktails, making it a fun and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

I came to Kyoto to play and searched for a Balinese restaurant online, and visited it on a whim. I thought the portion size of each dish might be small based on the reviews on Tabelog, but it was actually enough to share between two people! We ordered stir-fried water spinach (crispy!), meatball soup (reminded me of Balinese warung), tempeh fry (sweet and delicious sauce), nasi goreng (easy to eat seasoning), and Balinese-style okonomiyaki (similar to omelette). We ordered too much, but I managed to finish everything! It was a great deal with plenty of food for less than 2000 yen per person. I would love to visit this restaurant again when I come to Kyoto!

When walking from Kawaramachi Sanjo to Oike and towards the City Hall street in Kyoto, you will come across various shops, including one located inside a mixed-use building on the 7th floor. The menu displayed at the entrance on the 1st floor highlights familiar dishes like Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng, inviting guests to "relax with charming Balinese cuisine." As a fan of Indian, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisine in my hometown of Fukuoka, I decided to visit this restaurant. The interior was stylish and cozy, with ethnic music playing in the background and the scent of Southeast Asian incense in the air. The menu featured Indonesian dishes like Gado Gado and Tempe, promising an authentic experience. I ordered the Ayam Curry, a Bali-style curry with coconut, spices, and a unique blend of flavors. The Bintang beer, a favorite from a previous restaurant, was also on the menu. I enjoyed the Sate Champur, a delicious skewer dish with a variety of meats, and the Bali Special cocktail, a rum-based drink with mango and coconut flavors. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a taste of Indonesia in Kyoto.

I felt like eating Indonesian food after a long time, so I went to Wayan Bali in Sanjo. As soon as I stepped into the elevator, I felt like I was in Bali! The atmosphere was just like a restaurant or cafe in Bali. I could imagine having a relaxing girls' night out here. I always order Nasi Campur when I go to an Indonesian restaurant. I like that you can try a little bit of everything. There were various dishes like Satay Ayam and Gado-Gado, which are classic Indonesian dishes, lined up on the plate. I mixed the fried egg with the spicy fried noodles, Mie Goreng, and enjoyed it. The restaurant was designed to resemble a small inn in Bali, and it was handmade by the owner. Both the manager and the chef are from Bali, so you can experience a mini-trip to Bali at this restaurant. In search of Ethnic Indonesian cuisine in Kyoto: Bali I used to visit Bali a lot during my time in Singapore, it was a great resort just a 2-hour trip away. The restaurant is on the 7th floor, once you get off the elevator, it feels like you're no longer in Kyoto or even Japan. The atmosphere is exotic and fancy. The spacious interior can accommodate both solo diners and large groups. The Mie Goreng Mie, where "Mie" means noodles and "Goreng" means fried, is a classic Bali-style fried noodles with a sunny-side-up egg on top. The taste brings back nostalgic memories that I love. Nasi Campur is a rice dish with various Balinese side dishes. Satay Ayam (chicken skewers) with peanut sauce and Gado Gado, boiled vegetables with sweet and spicy peanut sauce, are delicious. The corn fritters are also tasty. It was satisfying to enjoy the taste of Bali after a long time. I would love to try Tempe and Soto Ayam next time. They try to source their spices directly from Bali as much as possible. Bon appétit!

It is located inside a building, and as soon as you go up in the elevator, you are inside the store haha. The interior is dark, with the scent of incense lingering in the air. It had a Balinese atmosphere!!! With high hopes, I ordered the Mie Goreng for 735 yen! It was a Balinese-style yakisoba, and at first, I thought it was delicious with a slightly spicy kick from the spices! But the saltiness was much stronger than the spiciness of the spices, making it extremely salty and overpowering the original distinctive flavor... (TдT) It might be good for people who drink alcohol, but for me who doesn't drink, it felt like a challenge to finish it all orz. The noodles were also quite messy, like they were forcibly torn apart? They were about 1 cm in pieces. I wasn't very satisfied (´・ω・`). We went with two people, but the time between one person's dish arriving and the other person's dish arriving was long, and the food ended up getting cold while waiting, which was disappointing. The staff, a young lady took our order, but when she asked, "Would you like a drink?" it was hard to hear, and when my companion said, "Huh?" she exaggeratedly and very slowly said, "Driiinkk, is that okaaay?" making me feel like I was being made fun of, and the attitude was unpleasant (#^ω^). Also, maybe because we were the only customers, the two staff members were chatting away and not coming when called. It's okay to talk, but if we're calling you, come over!!! I thought I would never go back there.

The slightly dim interior of the restaurant has a great atmosphere. It's a calm place where you can relax even on a date! The food is really delicious. Personally, I love the Mie Goreng, Coconut Curry, Corn Tempura, and Shrimp Chips. They also offer courses, so it's great for first-timers. The Balinese manager and staff speak good Japanese and have lovely smiles. You can have a fun chat at the counter. It's a favorite spot of mine where you can go alone without any worries. It's a hidden gem on the 7th floor of the building, a place you'll get hooked on once you visit. I highly recommend it to Bali lovers. The combination of beer and Mie Goreng is the best!

Wayang Bali is a restaurant in Kawaramachi Sanjo, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, serving Balinese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere with Gamelan music playing in the background. The menu includes dishes like Gado Gado, Tempe Goreng, Sate platter, Martabak, Pisang Goreng, and Ice Cream. Gado Gado is a warm vegetable salad with peanut sauce, while Tempe Goreng is a dish made with fermented soybean cake. The Sate platter consists of shrimp, chicken, pork, and coconut meatballs. Martabak is a Balinese-style okonomiyaki, and Pisang Goreng with Ice Cream is a dessert of fried bananas with vanilla ice cream. The flavors are simple but delicious, making it a great place to enjoy Balinese cuisine and drinks.

Casual restaurants are often noisy, but the day I went was just right. The Balinese owner was interesting, and the Nasi Goreng was incredibly delicious. Sometimes you come across Nasi Goreng that makes you think, "Is this fried rice?" but the food here was authentic thanks to the Balinese chef. I prefer my food not too spicy, so when I asked for it to be made less spicy, it was delicious. They say you can enjoy a meal here even without alcohol, so I want to come with my girlfriends on a non-drinking day. The interior is cute too! I'll make it a goal to try all the menu items.

I was taken to a restaurant by my friend♪ I tried the traditional Balinese dish, Tempeh, which is made by fermenting soybeans and frying them in oil. It was delicious, with a slightly sour taste. I thought that only in Japan do people eat sour food, but it turns out it's also a thing in Bali. At first, I was a bit put off by the dim lighting in the restaurant, thinking "Do people really eat in such a dark place?" But as I got used to it, I didn't feel it was that dark, and actually found the dimness to be relaxing. The staff were very friendly, and they would smile and engage in conversation at just the right moments. Overall, I was satisfied not only with the food but also with the atmosphere of the restaurant♪

Located on the west side of a mixed-use building on Kawaramachi Sanjo Street, you take the elevator up. Mixed-use buildings can be confusing once you get off the elevator and wonder "which way?" but here, as soon as you take one step out, you're suddenly in Bali! There are counter seats facing the kitchen, table seats in the middle, and table seats in the back, making it suitable for small groups. Since it was not crowded, I was seated at a slightly larger table seat. The interior of the restaurant is very elaborate, giving a true sense of being at a resort in Indonesia. Despite my love for ethnic cuisine, I still struggle to match the names on the menu with the actual dishes. I chose randomly from each genre. The staff, likely from Bali, brought the dishes with good Japanese skills and a friendly smile. I can't remember the names of the dishes other than the popular Mie Goreng, but everything was delicious. I thought it might be spicy, but it wasn't too hot, perhaps adjusted for the Japanese palate.
