This is a cafe located in front of (or rather, on top of) the Morishita station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. It is known for its popular hotcakes, and when I visited with one other person on a Saturday around 2:30 pm, we were able to enter without waiting. We ordered the popular hotcakes (2 pieces), napoletana pasta, Ono Coffee blend, and tea, totaling 2,590 yen (tax included). PayPay is accepted, and there is a 30% cashback promotion for residents of Koto Ward (which was actually the reason why I went all the way to Morishita). The hotcakes, cooked on a griddle, are thick and fluffy with a firm texture when you bite into them. They recommend pouring plenty of syrup over them, as without it, the texture can be a bit dry. These hotcakes are more like a substantial main dish rather than a dessert-style pancake. The napoletana pasta had a rich flavor with ample ketchup, quite different from the one I had in Chiroru in Kyoto. The coffee, being the specialty of the shop named Ono Coffee, is priced significantly higher than the food items (I forgot the exact amount, but both the napoletana pasta and Ono Coffee blend were in the 600 yen range). It is aromatic, clean, and easy to drink, making it a delicious coffee that can be enjoyed on its own. Interestingly, on this day, we were the only ones having hotcakes in the shop, but when the lady sitting next to us saw us enjoying them, she got up and ordered some for herself. It may have been a small contribution, but it felt like we helped the shop in some way.

Located just a minute's walk from Morishita Station, this cozy café fits right into the neighborhood. The owner opened this establishment after branching off from the nearby "Coffee House". The café operates with efficiency, as customers are required to place their order and pay before being seated, which may catch you off guard if you're not aware. The modern interior design gives off a chain store vibe, possibly inherited from the Coffee House. I arrived just after the weekday café rush, so the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. ⭐︎ The Hotcakes & Ono Coffee Blend is a classic combination. The hotcakes are thick and crispy, with a slightly lower milk content. They are simple yet satisfying. Customize the texture and flavor with the butter, whipped cream, and homemade syrup provided. The coffee blend has a gentle acidity and bitterness, creating a smooth cup of coffee that pairs perfectly with the hotcakes. It may not be extravagant, but it certainly sets the stage for a delightful and fulfilling experience.

I visited the long-established coffee shop Ono Coffee near Morishita Station. Their hotcakes are popular, but this time I had their cheese toast breakfast. It's a classic coffee shop menu. This place is a valuable coffee shop where I can enjoy delicious coffee, which is essential in my daily life. I will definitely visit again!

When I visited Morishita, I used this cafe to pass the time. It's conveniently located along a main street just outside the subway station, which is great! The warm atmosphere was really nice. The coffee was delicious! I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

Rated 3.5 out of 5. Second visit. Ordered Ono Coffee Blend and 2 pancakes. The blend had low acidity and a slightly bitter taste, suitable for those who like bitter coffee. The pancakes were moist and slightly thick, a bit too much for a light eater like myself with 2 pieces. The batter had a traditional, mildly sweet taste and was delicious. Service was rated 3.3. Polite service. The interior was rated 3.5. Clean, spacious seating, and a relaxing atmosphere.

I visited the cafe on a Saturday just before noon. After having udon at the nearby "Kogane Seimenjo," I came here for coffee and dessert to pass some time. The cafe was not crowded, probably because it was a holiday weekend and there were fewer people in town due to various festivals happening. I ordered the following: - Mocha Frosty: A Frappuccino-like drink with vanilla ice cream floating in it. It was very cold and perfect for the hot summer, but a bit too sweet for my taste as I prefer my coffee unsweetened. - Iced Cafe Latte: It had a lot of milk and was very mild. Despite being a cafe, I felt that it lacked a strong coffee flavor, which might disappoint some coffee lovers like me. - Hotcake: This is the cafe's signature item. Served with whipped cream, margarine, and maple syrup. The outside was crispy with a unique texture, while the inside was not too moist but slightly powdery, reminiscent of old-fashioned pancakes. Overall, it had a scone-like texture. Despite the hype, I found it a bit underwhelming. The cafe has a somewhat cheap yet nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of Showa-era coffee shops, which suits the traditional vibe of the neighborhood. It seems to cater to the senior generation who prefer sweet drinks like iced coffee.

A café near the station. They have a variety of coffee beans, and just looking at the menu is enjoyable. The café atmosphere is nice! ◎ Fukagawa Blend Ice 610 yen ◎ Regular Blend 560 yen Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala. Delicious coffee with a lovely aroma. They even warm the cup for you, which is nice. Thank you for the meal.

Hmm, well, the pancakes themselves have a slightly crispy outside and a simple, nostalgic taste on the inside. I tried to accept it as "this type of pancake," but I still feel like it's overrated... Even if we assume the pancakes are decent, using margarine instead of butter and having syrup that's watery and has a strange taste is a letdown. The pancakes are on the smaller side, which is okay for 400 yen, but you have to order a drink, so it ends up being around 1000 yen in total. The coffee is neither good nor bad... Sorry for sounding so critical. But personally, I don't think it lives up to the high ratings on Tabelog.

After living in the Morishita area for over 10 years, I visited my favorite coffee shop on the day of my move, thinking it would be my last visit. The payment method, which used to be after the meal, has now changed to prepayment. The shop has also become completely non-smoking, and the sign that said "no photos allowed" is no longer there. Despite all these changes happening in the shop, the thick, satisfying pancake that resembles a hearty bread remains unchanged. I hope this favorite coffee shop of mine will continue to be loved by many people in the future.

Around 10:30, I had breakfast at this place. I ordered Napolitan pasta (670 yen), a small salad (110 yen), one pancake (390 yen), and iced coffee (560 yen). When I entered, there was a menu on the wall where I placed my order and paid in advance. I received water and a wet towel, then took my seat. First, I got the salad and coffee. The salad was refreshing and just the right amount. The Napolitan pasta was generous in portion and had plenty of ingredients. It was delicious, especially with Tabasco sauce. The pancake was thick and firm, crispy on the outside and light inside. The syrup that came with it was a bit runny, making it hard to pour. The coffee was strong and bitter, but it went well with milk and the pancake. I was satisfied and would like to try their sandwiches and cafe au lait next time.

After coming out of the Morishita station, I found myself near the large Morishita Ekimae intersection where KItchen Origin is located, just two doors down. On the opposite side, there is a Family Mart. I had never visited this place before, despite knowing about it for a while. On a Saturday afternoon, after finishing my errands near Morishita station, I decided to take a break from the heat. I arrived around 4 pm for my first visit. Upon entering, I first ordered and paid at the register. The menu on the wall in front of the register had many options, making it hard to decide. The popular choice here is the thick hot pancakes, but since I wasn't in the mood for that and it was hot outside, I decided to go for a refreshing dessert and coffee. I asked the staff for recommendations since I don't like coffee with strong acidity. The menu does not allow photography. I ordered the Ono Coffee Blend for 610 yen and the Affogato for 630 yen. After ordering and paying, I took my water and coaster to my chosen seat. I chose a cold dessert, so I asked for the coffee to be served hot. The staff kindly brought them out together. I have a sensitive tongue, so I ate the Affogato first and then slowly enjoyed the slightly cooled coffee. The Affogato was delicious, with strong espresso poured over vanilla ice cream. It was a delightful treat. The coffee had a good balance of flavors, with a mild acidity that was just right. I enjoyed it while taking my time. It's a convenient place near the station, and I can see myself visiting more often in the future.

I had monjayaki in Tsukishima and then my wife wanted to have coffee, so we went to Ono Coffee in Morishita. I wasn't satisfied with just coffee, so I chose beer. I love cafes that serve beer. I was planning to sneak a bite of their famous hotcakes from my wife, but to my disappointment, my wife, who loves sweets, didn't order them. She must have eaten too much monjayaki (crying). Disappointed. I'll order it myself next time without relying on my wife! (Reference) Evaluation: ★3.20 - Average. There is a slight possibility of going there in the future ★3.30 - Average. The coffee had a variety of options and a rich taste. Most blends were available as both hot and iced coffee. The pancakes tasted nostalgic from childhood. The coffee jelly had a homemade feel and was delicious, but it was a bit bitter as it was served unsweetened with syrup on the side.

This hotcake has a nostalgic, old-fashioned texture that feels like it was baked by your mother in the past. It's small in size, making it perfect for a quick snack. It costs 390 yen and tastes great with plenty of syrup. The café offers a variety of blended coffees to choose from, and this time I chose the Fukagawa Coffee Blend. It's a cozy and comforting treat. In addition to coffee, the café also serves sandwiches, croque-monsieur, and spaghetti, making it a good spot for lunch. Please note that taking photos of the menu is not allowed.

This is a hotcake, delicious restaurant with a wide menu. Since it's morning and I just finished at the gym, I went for a chicken sandwich with protein and a delicious coffee. The interior of the restaurant is like a family restaurant, with spacious seating where you can relax. You order at the register first and then pay. There are self-service cold water and hand towels. There were two young ladies and one young man on the floor. Surprisingly, the coffee was delicious, with each cup brewed with a nice aroma and a variety of bean options to choose from. I started with the original blend, but I was spoiled for choice. The meal was delicious, thank you very much. Thank you.

I visited the store on a weekday morning at 9 am, shortly after it opened, and it was already busy with 3 to 4 groups of customers, showing that it is a popular place. I ordered a coffee and one hotcake. The coffee had a strong aroma but was not too bitter. The hotcake was not very large in diameter, but it was 4-5cm tall. I regretted not ordering two as a man. They also provide Wifi, creating a relaxed and comfortable space.

After enjoying a filling meal of Sakura hot pot at Minoya, we headed across the street to Ono Coffee, a popular café near Morishita Station. My companion ordered the Ono Coffee blend, while I opted for an iced café latte and a single hotcake. Despite having just eaten a hearty meal of hot pot and rice, I found myself feeling a sense of fear at my own appetite... (But it's okay, I've been taking Calorie Limit with every meal, so I can eat whatever I want with zero calories. The believer shall be saved.) The café was crowded when we entered, with only two staff members working and looking quite busy. Here are my thoughts on what we ordered: - Iced Café Latte: A rich harmony of espresso and milk. The coffee used in the espresso has a smooth flavor that pairs well with the milk, making it a drinkable and enjoyable coffee. I prefer café lattes over café au laits because the use of espresso gives it a smooth and rich taste while still allowing the coffee flavor to come through. - Hotcake: Not pancakes, but hotcakes. The thick, visually appealing kind that everyone loves. These thick hotcakes have been baked on Ono Coffee's griddle for 42 years. I also enjoy the thick hotcakes from Iwata Coffee in Kamakura, but I noticed a slight difference in the outer texture between the two (Iwata Coffee's hotcakes have a clean, sharp circular shape on the outside, while Ono Coffee's hotcakes have a more natural, rounded appearance). Slathered in butter and soaked in traditional cake syrup, these hotcakes are a treat that requires a separate stomach! I love cafés and coffee shops, but the moment I realized I had ordered my drink iced, I was reminded that the season had changed once again.

On a regular day at 14:30, I thought it might be crowded because of its high ratings, but I was able to get in smoothly. It seems like you have to order first. But they probably accept cashless payments. That's great! I forgot the price of the "Iced Coffee," maybe around 600 yen? The "Hot Pancakes" cost 390 yen, isn't that cheap? The place is quite spacious. Let's go all the way to the back (this led to an interesting experience later on...) They have wifi! The phone number seems like a password, which is convenient. Despite looking somewhat old, they are quite tech-savvy, which is nice. Starting with the Iced Coffee first. Then, I tried the Hot Pancakes. They come with cream, margarine, and a side of Maypo syrup (Maple syrup). I really like the type of Iced Coffee they serve! As for the Hot Pancakes... well, this might be a matter of personal preference, but they are fluffy and delicious. The combination of margarine, cream, and Maypo adds a nice touch to the taste. However, there seems to be a staff room at the back. Sometimes, cigarette smoke drifts in, and I almost considered changing seats. So, the seats at the back might be a bit of a nightmare for non-smokers. Wait, are the seats non-smoking? Or was it just that no one was smoking at that time? I'm not sure. Lately, the neighboring area of Kiyosumi-Shirakawa is buzzing with cafes and bakeries, but this retro-style coffee shop is also delicious. With the pancake craze, Hot Pancakes have gained attention, and I think the ones here are delicious.

I visited in the morning on a holiday. The restaurant was about half full. It took less than 10 minutes from ordering to get the hotcakes. The taste was standard, but the hotcakes were fluffy and tall! They were a bit small, but it's impressive to get hotcakes that are about 3cm tall this quickly. The taste was nostalgically sweet and standard. The prices were also cheap, so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Dior exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo and decided to stop by Ono Coffee, a cafe I had been wanting to visit. After spending nearly 3 hours at the exhibition without eating lunch, I ordered their classic Napolitan dish along with some hotcakes. The Napolitan dish had a classic cafe-style taste, but I was missing the unique texture that usually comes with it. The hotcakes, on the other hand, were a steal at less than ¥400 per piece, served with margarine, whipped cream, and lemon-infused syrup. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the syrup added a satisfying sweetness. However, I found myself wanting more, but unfortunately, they only allow one piece per person on weekends. I would definitely visit again if I have the chance.

I went to eat pancakes at a restaurant that had caught my attention among the top 100 shops. It was around 1:30 pm on a Sunday and the place was not crowded. You order at the counter and pay in advance. I had looked up the prices beforehand, so the pancakes were 390 yen, and the Ono Coffee was 610 yen. He got a set of pancakes and tea for 1,000 yen. I guess I had high expectations because the pancakes were tasty but just okay. They weren't moist inside, a bit dry actually. However, considering the price of 390 yen, it's a nice place to relax and have some quiet time when you feel like having something sweet. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and cozy.
